Chapter 7
Shivansh's POV
I was going towards my room which from today onwards I have to share with her but I was interrupted by a call from Yug. I went to attend the call.
Yug," Hello sir."
Shivansh,"Hello."
Yug,"Sir, woh US wali company ka abhi mail aaya hai aur unhone idea ho approve kar diya hai aur woh project bhi start karna chahte hai."
(Sir, the company from US mailed just now and approved the idea and want to start the project.)
Shivansh," Great. Yeh toh bohot achhi baat hai."
(Great, thats good news.)
Yug," Par sir woh chahte hai ki hum waha jaake sab finalize karke construction start karva de uske baad aage humare company mein se koi supervise karega toh chalega."
(But sir, they want us to go there and finalise everything and then someone from our company can supervise.)
Shivansh," Ha toh kya problem hai Yug. Jaane ki taiyaari karo. Kab jaana hai."
(So whats the problem Yug. Prepare to leave. When do we have to go?)
Yug," Sir, woh toh jald se jald bula rahe hai but abhi aap kaise jaa sakte hai. Aapki aaj hi toh shaadi hui hai?"
(Sir, they are saying asap. Byt how can we go now? You just got married today.)
Shivansh," Kuch hi dino ki baat hai Yug. Tum unhe reply kardo hi hum aa rhe hai. Aur parso jaane ki taiyaari karo."
(Its just a matter of few days Yug. You reoky them that we are coming. And start preparing to go day after tomorrow.)
Yug," Ok sir."
Now, I have to go US. It is a good sign I guess. I will get to stay away from Ruhanika. I cannot afford to be any more affected by her. Agar woh mere zyada paas aai toh na jaane uske saath kya hoga.
With these thoughts running in my mind, I reached my room.
As i entered the room, I saw her sitting on the couch. As she saw me she stood up. I did not acknowledge her and went to the closet to take my clothes and then went to the washroom to take a shower. I came out of washroom after some time.

Author's POV
Shivansh,"Tum jaake change karlo."
(You get changed.)
Ruhanika nodded and went to her suitcase. She opened her suitcase and took out a pair of t-shirt and pajama.
Shivansh,"Yeh 1 hi bag aaya hai tumhara abhi tak. Baaki k bags niche hi hai kya?"
(Only 1 bag? Other bags are yet to come?)
Words slipped out of his mouth without his permission.
Ruhanika,"Ji yeh 1 hi bag hai mera."
(I only have one bag.)
Shivansh just nodded. Ruhanika went to change and after almost 45 minutes came out of the washroom.
Shivansh," Tum yaha bed pe so jao, main couch pe so jaunga."
(You take the bed, I'll take the couch.)
Ruhanika," Aap bed pe so jaaiye na. Couch aapko chhota padega."
(You take the bed. Couch is too small for you.)
Shivansh,"Mujhe faltu ki behes karna pasand nhi hai tum chup chap so jao."
(I dont liek unnecessary arguments, sleep quietly.)
After saying so he went and sat on the sofa. Ruhanika stood there for a couple of seconds thinking what to do. She offered sleeping on the couch as she anyways was not used to comfy bed, so she would have easily managed. Ruhanika could not do anything regarding that so she went, took the duvet from bed and covered Shivansh with it. Took another blanket from closet and slept on the sitting area near the window. She felt bad that he was not sleeping on the bed so how can she.
When she did all this, Shivansh was not asleep. He saw everything she did and he thought to himself," Why the hell is she so selfless. She could have comfortably slept on the bed but she did not cuz I am not sleeping there comfortably. God, I really need to stay away from her or this innocence and selflessness of hers would turn my attraction to something more." He did not realize when he slept thinking all this.

Next morning, he woke up and got ahead with his regular routine.
When Ruhanika woke up, she saw he was not there. Not trying to think much she got up and went to washroom to freshen up. While she was brushing her teeth, there was a knock on the door. She opened it and found a maid standing there.
"Mam, Dadi sa ne yeh kapde bheje hai aapke liye."
(Mam, Grandma sent this clothes for you.)
She took the clothes and closed the door. She then took a bath and came out in blouse and skirt as Dadi had sent her a saree. It was a red Banarasi silk saree. She came out and thought how would she drape saree. Then she started a youtube video of saree drapping. She found it easy to drape a saree. She quickly drapped the saree. When she had just kept her pallu on the shoulder, Shivansh entered the room. She called him.
Ruhanika,"Suniye."
(Listen)
Shivansh hummed.
Ruhanika,"Woh aapke pass safety pin hogi? Mujhe saree mein lagani hai."
(Do you have safety pins? I want them to secure the saree.)
Shivansh,"Mere pass nhi hai. Tumhare pass safety pin nahi hai. Ladkiyon k makeup kit mein toh yeh sab hota hi hai. Kamal karti ho. Ruko mangvata hu."
(I dont have them. You dont have safety pins? Girls have them in makeupkit. Wait, I'll ask someone to bring jt.)
Ruhanika just looked down.
After some time, there was knock on the door.
Shivansh,"Come in."
It was Aarohi at the door.
Aarohi,"Bhabhi, yeh safety pins."
Ruhanika took the pins and mumbled a small thankyou.
Aarohi,"Bhabhi, aap kitni pretty lag rahe ho. Aao main aapko ready kar deti hu. Aapki makeup kit kaha hai?"
(Bhabhi, you are looking so pretty. Come I'll get you ready. Where is your makeup kit?)
Rubanika,"Mere pass makeup nahi hai. Main bus baal bana leti hu phir hum niche chalte hai."
(I dont have makeup. I'll just do the hair and then we will go downstairs.)
Aarohi,"Bhabhi, aap makeup nai karte?"
(Bhabhi, you dont apply makeup?)
Ruhanika shook her head in no.
Aarohi,"Waah Bhabhi!!! Chalo aap moisturizer aur lipbalm vagera laga lijiye phir main aapki hairstyle bana deti hu."
(Wow. Come, you do the skincare and I'll do your hair.)
Ruhanika went to her bag and took out a small pouch. She brought out a small bottle of moisturizer. She then lightly applied it on her skin and applied lipbalm.
Aarohi,"Aaiye bhabhi hum hairstyle kar dete hai. Mujhe comb aur pins vagera de dijiye."
(Bhabhi, come I'll do hairstyle. Give me comb and pins.)
Ruhanika then took out 6 pins and a rubber band out of the pouch and then gave the comb to Aarohi.
Aarohi,"Bhabhi itni hi pins aur rubber band?"
(Bhabhi, you have only this much stuff?)
Ruhanika,"Nahi 2 pin aur hai aur 3 rubber band bhi hai aur 2 butterfly bhi hai. Main nikalti hu."
(No, I have some more. Wait, I'll get them.)
Aarohi did her hair. Then Ruhanika applied kajal and wore the only pair of big earrings she had.
Aarohi,"Bhabhi, yeh toh silver earrings hai. Ispe golden zyada achhi lagegi."
(Bhabhi, those are silver. Golden would suit more.)
Ruhanika,"Golden earing nhi hai mere pass. Yeh dusri pair hai but yeh chhote hai toh maine socha..."
(I dont have golden. This another pair is there but they are small.)
Aarohi nodded with a smile thinking something.
They left the room to go downstairs. While going downstairs, Aarohi said to Ruhanika,"Bhabhi, Mujhe aapka saman closet mein rakhvane ko kaha hai dadi ne breakfast k baad."
(Bhabhi, Grandma asked me to help you set your closet after breakfast.)
Ruhanika nodded.
Dadi,"Hayee meri bachhi kitni sundar kag rhi hai. Nazar na lage." Saying so Dadi placed a kajal dot behind her ear. Ruhani controlled her tears and bent down to take blessings.
(Awww, my child, so pretty. May God protect you from evil eyes.)
Dadi,"Aajao beta Mandir mein diya jala do."
(Come, dear, light a lamp in temple.)
After that,
Dadi,"Beta aaj tumhari pehli rasoi hai toh kuch meetha bana dena baaki ka breakfast staff bana dega uske baad."
(Dear, today you have to cook something in the kitchen for the first time. Make some sweet, rest staff will make.)
Ruhanika,"Umm, D-dadi, main ba-bana du break-breakfast?"
(Grandma, can I make the breakfast?)
Dadi,"Haa beta, bana do. Par tumhe thakan nhi hai shaadi ki rasmo se?"
(Sure dear. But aren't you tired of the rituals?)
Ruhanika shook her head.
Dadi,"Chalo thik hai. Kuch kaam ho toh staff hai kitchen mein aur main bhi yaha sofe par hi ho."
(Okay. If you need any help, there is staff in the kitchen and I am also sitting in the living room.)
Rubanika nodded and went to kitchen.
Aarohi followed her.
While playing with her fingers, Ruhanika asked Aarohi," Kya b-bana du main A-Aaru? "
(What should I make Aaru?)
Aarohi," Bhabhi aapko sab banana aata hai? "
(Bhabhi, you can cook everything?)
Ruhanika nodded and Aarohi continued," Toh bhabhi aap na Parathe bana dijiye aur Pohe bana do. "
(Then you make Parathas and Poha.)
"Aur meethe mein? " Ruhanika asked with frown.
(And Sweet?)
" Bhabhi meethe mein jo aapki favourite dish ho voh bana do. " Aarohi replied with a grin.
(Bhabhi make your favourite sweet dish.)
" Please tum hi bata do na. Meri koi favourite dish nahi hai. Mujhe toh sab accha lagta hai."
(Please you tell me. I dont have any favourite dish. I like everything.)
"Toh phir bhabhi, kheer bana do. Shiv bhai ko pasand hai." Aarohi said to Ruhanika while winking at her.
(Then Bhabhi, make kheer. Shiv bro likes it.)
Ruhanika smiled and started the cooking.
In 1 hour, everything was ready. Aarohi kept her company while cooking. Ruhanika started setting the table and Aarohi went to call everyone. Everyone sat at the table including Mrs. Rajvansh and Shivansh's chacha-chachi. Shivansh reached there soon and sat at his place.
Ruhanika was about to serve when Dadu stopped her," Ruhi beta, sab khud serve karlenge. Tum bhi sab k saath baith jao aur nashta karlo. Hmm!"
(Ruhi, dear, everyone will serve themselves. You also sit and have breakfast with everyone.)
Ruhanika just stared at Dadu blankly. She was surprised as she never had the chance to sit with family and have food. She was always asked to eat after everyone ate and that too while sitting in the kitchen . Seeing Ruhanika not moving, Aarav stood from his seat and made Ruhanika sit beside Shivansh by holding her shoulder," Bhabhi, nasta kar lete hai, sab kitna tasty lag raha hai."
(Bhabhi, lets do breakfast, everything looks tasty.)
Everyone started having breakfast and praised Ruhanika a lot. She had tears in her eyes as she was never appreciated this much or loved so much. Everyone started giving her gifts.
"Yeh lo beta, yeh mere aur tumhari Dadi ki taraf se. Khana bohot achha bana tha. Humesha haste rehna beta." Dadu said to Ruhanika while giving her blessings and gift.
(Here dear, this is from my and your Grandma's side. Food was very tasty. Always keep smiling.)
"D-dadu, yeh mai-main kaise...." Ruhanika was hesitant to take the gift.
(Grandpa, how can I?)
"Humara pyaar aur Aashirvad hai bete." Dadi said to Ruhanika while patting her head.
(This is our love and blessings dear.)
Ruhanika took the gift. It was a beautiful gold set.
"Bhabhi yeh meri taraf se." Rajveer said while handing her a designer bag.
(Bhabhi thus is from my side.)
"Raj bhai yeh toh waisa hi bag hai jo aap mere liye laaye hai. LV k naye collection se hai na."
(Raj bro, this is the same bag that you got for me. From LV's new collection.)
"Ha Aaru, jab tune mangvaya tha tab maine 2 order kiye the. Ek tera aur ek bhabhi ka." Rajveer replied with a smile.
(Yes Aaru, when I ordered yours, I ordered 2. One for you and one for Bhabhi.)
'Raj bhai mere liye woh same gift laaye jo unhone Aaru ko diya.' Ruhani thought as how Rajveer treated her same as Aarohi.
(Raj bro, got the same gift for me that he got Aaru.)
"Bhabhi yeh main apni pehli salary ki saving se aapke liye earrings laaya hu. Sone ki nahi hai AD ki hai kyuki isse sabke gifts liye the toh...Hehe." Aarav said with a shy smile.
(Bhabhi, this is from my first salary, earrings. They are not of gold but AD because I had gotten gifts for everyone so...hehe.)
"Aarav, yeh toh bohot zyada precious huye mere liye. Tu-tumhari pehli salary ki g-gift hai." Ruhani replied with teary eyes as she was overwhelmed with the love.
(Aarav, this are most precious for me. This is from your first salary.)
"Accha bhabhi, main toh aapko shopping pe leke jaungi aapki gift k liye." Aarohi said happily to Ruhanika.
(Bhabhi, I will take you shopping for your gift.)
Before Ruhanika could say something, Aarav said,"Taki tere bhi shopping ho jaaye. Bhai card mat dena isko." He said the last line to Shivansh.
(So that you can also do shopping. Bro, dont give her card.)
"Lakshmi,Surekha, tumlog tohfa nahi doge bahu ko." Dadi said to her daughters-in-law.
(Lakshmi, Surekha, you wont give gifts to your daughter in law?.)
"Kaisi bahu Maa. Yeh dono mere kuch nahi lagte. Bhaad mein jaye yeh aur iska pati. Jise main apni aankhon k samne dekhna nahi chahti uski biwi ko tohfa du yeh hargiz nahi ho sakta." Rajlakshmi replied with anger and left the dining table.
(What daughter in law Mom. They are no one to me. They can go to hell. I dont even want to see this boy's face and you want me to guft his wife.)
"Sab kuch toh le liya hai Maa. Ab kya du main iski biwi ko." Surekha replied with disgust and left the room with her husband.
(They have taken everything Maa. Now what do we give his wife.)
No one said anything and left for their rooms after breakfast.
Shivansh's room,
Shivansh and Ruhanika entered the room. Ruhanika went to closet to keep the gifts.
After she came out, she saw that Shivansh was keeping files in his bag.
"Ji, main aapse kuch puchu?" Ruhanika asked Shivansh to which he replied with a hmm.
(Can I ask you something?)
"Niche abhi a-aapki Maa aur Ch-chachi aapse aise kyu k-keh rahe th-the?" Ruhanika asked with a frown.
(Why was your mom and aunt saying such things downstairs?)
"Kuch nahi. Tum is baare mein dhyaan mat do. Hota rehta hai yeh toh ghar mein." Shivansh replied with a hint of sadness and left for his office without sparing Ruhanika a glance.
(Nothing. You ignore that. These thing happen in this house.)
Ruhanika felt bad. She was lost in thoughts and sitting on the couch when there was a knock on the door of the room.
