Chapter 26 #2
It was only partially a lie, but whatever.
“Where were you?” He wished he could take the words back as soon as they left his lips.
Sure enough, the corner of Kian’s mouth tipped upwards in a smug smirk. “Did you miss me?”
“You aren’t supposed to be in here. Leave.”
He laughed. “Okay, okay. I’ll tell you. I was on Synastry.”
“What?” Sky shoved the alpha, who stumbled back a full step before regaining his footing and springing right back. He didn’t bother pushing him away a second time, point already made. “You traveled all the way to another planet and didn’t tell me? But also, multi-slates still work on Synastry.”
“I was trying to track down Rish, the man who I thought attacked you and the twins.” His gaze darkened for a split second.
“The one who I thought hurt my brother. He isn’t all right, by the way.
Shiloh is trying to return to normal, throwing himself into his new life here, but Sarang says he can hear him crying through the walls at night. ”
“It’s only been five days,” Sky said. “Give him time. I don’t know if it’ll ever get better. Probably not. But maybe one day he won’t have to fake being okay as much. Maybe one day he’ll wake up, and he really will be a little more than the day before.”
Kian cocked his head at him. “You should come to Caelum. Speak to him. I’m not good at comforting people. None of us in the Eumia are.”
“Shocker.” Shiloh was one of them. He was sure he was used to it by now.
Still…
“I have some time,” he found himself saying. “After the tournament.”
Kian seemed surprised by the offer. “You’ll come home?”
“Don’t get any bright ideas. I’m just stopping by to check in on Shiloh. That’s all.”
“I’d try to make you a deal, wager on whether you win or lose.
Offer something like…” Kian pretended to think it over, and it was so obvious he was putting on an act, Sky almost snorted, “If you win, I promise not to fuck you this All Hallows’ Eve.
” He grinned at him. “But a liar like you might lose on purpose then.”
Sky’s eyes narrowed. “You phrased it that way on purpose, didn’t you?”
“Did I?”
“Yes. You’re trying to make it sound complicated to confuse me.”
“I see you’re not denying you’re a liar this time,” Kian pointed out. “That’s progress.”
“I’m not—” He growled when Kian’s palm covered his mouth.
“Don’t ruin it, Sky. I like it when you’re good for me. Can’t you tell?” The alpha tipped his head down between them.
Sky tried to resist the urge to see, but failed, gaze dropping down to the bulge in Kian’s pants. A small whine slipped up his throat, mostly muffled by the alpha’s hand, but of course, he still somehow managed to catch it.
Kian’s grin turned wolfish. “What was that, little omega?”
“What you said you’d do over the phone that one time,” Sky’s voice was breathy when Kian pulled his hand away. “I want that. Do that for me. Here. Now.”
“What’s in it for me?”
“A pleased omega?” Sky suggested. “Your pleased omega.”
“For the record,” Kian stepped back and then lowered onto a bench bolted into the ground in front of the row of lockers, “this is you, telling me you want it.”
“I want you to give me oral,” he corrected. “Nothing more.”
“Think oral is going to be enough, baby?” He clicked his tongue, then hooked a finger into the tight waistband of the white and red uniform pants Sky wore. “After all this time? I doubt it.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t. I went years without getting laid, Kian. I’m sure I can handle—”
“What does that mean?” He’d been tugging Sky’s pants down, but paused, his pupils blowing as his eyes began to glow neon. “You had heats.”
Damn it. He pretended to find sudden interest in the dusty ceiling fan dangling above. “I tried partners a couple of times, but it never worked out. Didn’t feel right.”
“No?”
He huffed. “No. Okay? I never let it get far with any of them. You’re the only alpha I’ve ever taken. Happy?”
“You have no idea.” Kian tore his pants down to his ankles, then wrapped his hands around Sky, palming his ass. “Come here, little omega. Your alpha is hungry.”
“Just, be…gentle.” Sky allowed himself to be dragged forward until he was standing between Kian’s spread thighs, trying not to be mindful of his nakedness. It wasn’t like the alpha hadn’t seen it all already, but it had been while, or at least it felt like it had.
In reality, it’d only been twenty-some days since the carnival. Since Sky had woken in Kian’s bed.
Since he’d felt the touch of his alpha…
Fuck.
Kian kneaded the muscular globes of his ass.
“Hurry up,” Sky said, only to be laughed at.
“You just told me you wanted it gentle.”
“I only have like ten minutes left before I need to be out there.”
“More like eight,” Kian stated, but he removed one of his hands and brought it around, his fingers slipping over Sky’s semi-hard dick. “If you want it so badly, you’re going to have to be better at showing me, baby.”
“Getting it hard is your job,” he snapped.
“Oh, that’s right. A good alpha knows how to do his job.” Humor glittered in his cerulean blue eyes as he dipped his head lower. “How to please and respect his omega.”
The first flick of Kian’s tongue against Sky’s slit had him mewling. The sensation was electric, causing him to lengthen almost instantly in the alpha’s grip. Precome beaded, lapped away, only to be replaced by another pearlescent drop.
Kian’s palm held him steadily as his tongue circled his crown, pressing against the divot of his slit, before licking around him like he was tasting a lollipop.
It wasn’t long before Sky was whimpering, his hips rocking forward of their own accord, desperation clawing at his insides, even as one of his hands delved into Kian’s thick dark hair and tugged.
“Alpha,” he whined. “More.”
“I haven’t even released my pheromones.” Kian’s other hand cupped Sky’s sack, rolling it in his palm before giving a light squeeze that had the air wheezing out of Sky’s lungs.
“You’re already this receptive to my touch alone.
Do you really still believe you stand a chance against me, Sky?
I’ll have you on your back, begging me to fill you with my cock long before either of our cycles arrives. ”
Kian’s would come first. They already knew that.
Sky’d been debating for days now whether that made it better or worse.
Alphas in rut were volatile. They were aggressive and could be dangerous.
Considering none of their past sexual encounters had been soft or sweet, he feared what that might mean for him.
How much worse it could get when Kian was also half out of his mind.
Feared, and anticipated.
His curiosity plagued him.
“You’ll spread these cheeks for me,” Kian continued, delivering long licks up and down Sky’s shaft between sentences. “Present your hole. Drown us both in slick—kind of like what you’re doing right now.”
Sky felt it, the wetness dripping from his back opening, leaking down his inner thighs.
Kian took a deep whiff of the air and groaned. “You smell like heaven, little omega.”
“Just shut up and suck me.” Before he did something foolish like actually consider the picture the alpha was painting.
Kian grinned. “As you wish.”
The second his hot mouth engulfed Sky, he saw stars. Kian sucked him down, all the way, until Sky’s crown bumped the back of his throat. His hands returned to Sky’s ass, fingers digging into his flesh, pulling him forward until Sky was balancing up on his toes as Kian bobbed on his dick.
Sky held on to Kian’s shoulders, gasping every time Kian gave a particularly strong suck, whimpering whenever he felt the light scrape of his teeth against the bulging vein on the underside of his swollen member.
He was so hard it felt like he was going to burst, and any thoughts of making this last, of keeping it together for at least five minutes so as not to completely humiliate himself, went right out the window when one of Kian’s fingers slipped between his crack and traced lightly at his puckered hole.
The orgasm hit him in a rush of intense vibrations, and Sky jerked and clung to the alpha as his body unloaded.
Kian continued to milk him through it, as though he was trying to siphon every last available drop. But that hand that’d been so close to his entrance slipped away, that specific pleasure point abandoned, and even in the throes of passion, Sky felt the disappointment cut through him.
It wasn’t enough.
He needed more.
Sky forced Kian’s mouth off him and practically scrambled into his lap, straddling him over the bench. Before the alpha could even think to protest, he captured his head and lifted those delectable lips to his. Sky drove his tongue forward, tasting himself as Kian’s tongue responded.
Shamelessly, he rubbed himself against the bulge in the alpha’s pants, his dick already hardening all over again.
Who could have figured the thing he’d been running from all this time would be the one thing to help ground him?
He’d been so afraid of experiencing this, of intimacy with his alpha.
Afraid that it wouldn’t be good enough to erase all the negative between them now.
Afraid that he wouldn’t be any good at it. That he’d be unable to keep up.
That Kian would see him shy away from the rough, almost punishing way he liked to fuck, and would realize he’d made a mistake.
But mostly, Sky had been afraid of himself.
Of enjoying it.
Of having to admit that.
Of no longer being able to cling to being a liar, like Kian had accused him of being.
Now though, riding that orgasmic high, desperately chasing after another, all those doubts and fears slipped into nothingness. Thoughts of the corn maze and the potentially dangerous future now in store for him trickled away like water from a leaky faucet. Twirling down the drain and disappearing.
He was so far gone in it all, it took him far too long to register the pounding on the door to the locker room, or the sound of his name being called through the metal. Just as the sound of the creaky hinges being pushed open came, Sky pulled back.
“I’m coming!” he called out, his breathing harried as he stared at the alpha and waited to see if his coach was going to come any further into the room.
“Hurry up,” the coach said back, and then the door shut once more.
“Why didn’t you tell me he was here!” Sky hissed, clambering off Kian’s lap. He almost tripped over his pants, still around his ankles, but managed to brace himself against the lockers.
“I liked you wild for me,” Kian admitted with a shrug. “Usually I’m the greedy one.”
Sky rolled his eyes and, once his clothing was righted, took a step around the lockers. He stopped and turned back at the last second. “Stay away from Talia Gregory.”
Kian frowned, genuinely perplexed. He was still lounging on the bench—a large wet spot on his jeans where Sky had just been dripping slick all over him—and didn’t seem in any hurry to go. “Who?”
“That omega who was flirting with you earlier,” Sky stated. “Also. Change the bet.”
His brow winged up.
“I want to win,” Sky said. “So promise to fuck me on All Hallows’ Eve if I do, and you’ve got a deal.”
