3. Sundae #2

“Good morning to you too, Sis.” She stopped in her tracks before she got to the kitchen island. “Oh, bitch! You got that pussy worked out.”

My eyes bucked. “Wynsdae! You don’t know that. I could have had him bring me home last night.” I rolled my eyes at her before I turned to put water in the dispenser on the top shelf of her refrigerator.

Her head bucked back. “Oh, that dick must have been the bomb. There’s nothing better than shameful dick. That dick that makes you want to not talk about it because you might have phantom nuts.” She tittered at her own joke.

I couldn’t hide my smile because her ass might be right. I leaned on the counter of the island. “That man fucked me like he was imprinting his dick in me. I swear, I don’t think anyone’s dick will do now. He’s fucked it up for everyone.”

“That’s my muthafuckin’ nigga!” A male voice scared the shit out of me. Marco came out of Wynsdae’s bedroom that was off the kitchen without a shirt on. “I taught my boy well.”

I couldn’t move. Wynsdae had this cheeky smile. Marco walked over to her, kissed her lips, then smacked her ass. “I’ll talk to you later,” my sister cooed.

Marco gave me an upward head nod before he walked out the door. “Wynsdae, why the hell wouldn’t you tell me that he was here? Oh my gosh. He’s going to go back and tell Citrell what I said.”

“Girl, calm down. I forgot his ass was here. He was in the shower when you knocked on the door.” Wynsdae waved me off. “When’s the next time that y’all are going to see each other?”

My shoulders lifted. “I don’t know. I . . . I snuck out of his house this morning.”

“The hell, Sundae? Why would you sneak out of that man’s house?” She smacked her forehead. “Please tell me you got his number at least.”

I just gave her a timid smile. I was too caught up in the dick and how he made me feel. “Wynsdae, I wasn’t thinking about a phone number. All I was thinking about was that dick.” My head fell back. “It was so marvelous, Wynsdae.”

“Hm, must not have been that marvelous when your ass didn’t get that man’s phone number.

” Her head shook from where she sat at the kitchen island.

“I gave Marco my phone number at the club. After we got here and he fucked me the way he did, I told him to call my ass so I would have his number. I’m probably going to be on his line tonight trying to get some of his Wonka dick. ”

I wasn’t about to go there with her to ask why Wonka. I knew that whatever the answer was, it would be ignorantly funny. “I had the most precious interaction in the grocery store this morning.” I took the time to tell her about Callira and Rella.

Her smile was wide. She clasped her hands in front of her chest. “Oh, I hope that they come to the center. We could have a karaoke hour or something. That would be so fun.”

I was caught in my thoughts about Citrell. Damn, I should have gotten that nigga’s number. Between last night and this morning, all I could say was a time was had.

A Few Days Later . . .

Today was a long, hard day, but I wouldn’t change our long days for a moment.

Just because I prayed for sunshine, God never said there wouldn’t be any rain.

Not to say it rained today, but there was some drizzling.

It was close to the end of the day, so most of the children’s parents had already picked them up.

There were only three students left that were with our teacher’s assistant.

My sister walked into my office and plopped down on the couch against my wall. “Girl, I can’t wait to get home, wash my coochie, then let Marco wash it again with his tongue.” Why does Wynsdae have to be so vulgar at six-twenty in the evening?

“Well, I’m happy to know that you’ve found a permanent slide that satisfies you,” I said without taking my eyes off the papers I had to sign off on.

We had students that were on IEPs (Individual Educational Plans) at their schools which required us to send progress reports.

I completed the forms yesterday but decided to sign them today.

Wynsdae snickered. “Well, if your ass had gotten his number, you could have a permanent slide as well.” Her words came out in a mumble. “I told you that I could get his damn number for you.”

Before I could curse her out, Natalie knocked on my open door. “Sundae, there’s a parent out here that is interested in potentially enrolling his daughter. He said something about you met his mother in the grocery store.”

My back straightened and ears perked. “Oh, that has to be Callira! Wynsdae, come on. I want you to meet her.”

I stood from my desk chair and walked around it. When my sister stood up, I grabbed her hand. My office was next to my sisters at the back of the building. When we got to the front, my steps slowed.

“Singing friend!” Callira yelled when she saw me before she threw her hands in the air. Her excitement warmed my heart.

I zoned back into her. “Hey, singing friend! You look so beautiful.” I pulled Wynsdae next to my side. “Callira, this is my sister Wynsdae. Guess what?” The interest in what I would say next lit up in her eyes. “She sings too.”

Callira let out the most dramatic gasp. “Are you going to sing the song with us?” She looked between me and my sister.

I shook my head. “Oh, I didn’t tell her yet. I wanted to talk to you first to make sure we wanted her to sing with us.”

Citrell stood back with a smile as he observed our interaction. There was a sparkle in his eyes as well. I can’t believe he’s Callira’s father.

Callira nodded, then said, “Good thinking.” She looked my sister up and down. “She’s cool. She can sing with us.”

“I’m so happy that I’ll be able to sing with you two,” Wynsdae said with genuine happiness. “So, Callira, where did you get those sneakers? I think I need a pair.”

She looked down at her sneakers, then over to her daddy. “My daddy bought them for me. Sundae, come meet my daddy.” She grabbed my hand for the second time since I’d met her. “Daddy, this is my singing friend Sundae.” She giggled. “Her name is Sundae, and her sister’s name is Wynsdae.”

It was like she just caught on to that. I wasn’t sure how to handle this situation. The man who had his dick in every whole of my body stood before me, and he was the father of my new singing friend. “Um, it’s nice to meet you.”

I was careful not to say his name. Little Miss Callira seemed like an inquisitive girl. If I said her father’s name, I could see her asking me how I knew it.

Citrell gave me that sexy smirk that had me swallowing his dick not too long ago. Calm down, Sundae, with your hot ass coochie. “How are you, Miss Sundae? I would say that it’s nice to meet you, but you know.”

My eyes bucked as they side eyed him, then looked down at Callira. Her attention had already shifted to Wynsdae. I heard the mention of the song that we would sing together.

Citrell’s hand touched mine and brought my attention back to him. “Do you want to tell me about your place? My mother spoke highly of you.” He stepped into my personal space. “I mean, I know a reason to speak highly of you, too, but I’m thinking that her reason is different from mine.”

I choked a little on my damn spit. I can’t believe he just said that. I needed to get myself together. I was not in his laid-back bar about to sexually seduce him with my voice. I was at my place of business where education and my children were the priority.

I straightened my back and summoned my professionalism to me.

“Yes, your mother, Rella, is an amazing woman as is your daughter. How about I first give you and Callira the tour? After the tour, if she’s comfortable with my sister and me, you can discuss whether you would like Brilliant Minds to join you on her academic journey. ”

“That sounds like a plan. Sundae, you can say my name.” When I paused to look at him with tight eyes, he chuckled. “Not like that, nasty ass girl. You can address me by my name. If you want to keep the professional mode, it’s Mr. Wick.”

I glared at him for a moment. He was finding comedy in my uncomfortableness.

I wanted to slap him, then fuck him, but more so slap him.

I just walked off. “Callira, would you like to tour my place? Maybe if your Grandme and daddy say so, you can come learn with me and Wynsdae after school some days.”

“Yes, I want to. This is your place?” she asked with widened eyes. “Wow! This place is great. Is this where we’re gonna sing?”

My sister smiled. “That’s the plan if everyone agrees. Come on, so we can show you what we do here.”

For the next half an hour, we toured our center and talked about what we did and how it could apply to Callira.

Citrell confirmed my thought about her down syndrome diagnosis.

Based on the curriculum that Rella taught Callira, she was in the third grade.

I currently had three other special needs students on that grade level that I believed she would fit in with.

Two were autistic and the other also had down syndrome.

After our tour, Wynsdae and Callira went over to our reading nook to further look at our book collection. It delighted my reading soul when she said that she loved books. Citrell and I weren’t too far away at one of the tables to discuss business further.

“So, what are your thoughts? Do you think this is somewhere that would be a fit for your daughter and her educational needs?” I asked him once we settled at the table.

Citrell glanced around our main room in the center where we sat.

“Yeah, this place is definitely a fit for her. I think it’s more that you are a fit for her.

My mother told me how you handled the situation in the grocery store.

You have no idea how grateful I am that you snuck out of my house, then went to the grocery store where you ran into them. ” His brow arched.

I couldn’t hold my laughter anymore. “Why are you like this? Sir, I’m trying to have a conversation about your daughter’s education.”

He didn’t join in with the laughter. “Sundae, I knew that I was going to let her come here when my mother told me about how you interacted with her in the store. That was before she handed me your business card and I saw that it was you. We can start her off at one day a week for the first month, then pick it up to two a week and work our way up to three if that’s alright.

I don’t want to overwhelm her with the change. ”

“Oh, yes, that is perfect,” I said enthusiastically.

“I am so excited to have her join us. I can send over the contracts electronically for you and your mother to review. The tuition can be paid weekly, monthly, quarterly, or by the half a year. We provide various payment schedules to accommodate almost everyone. Since we are going to work on a buildup schedule for Callira, I’ll give you the tuition breakdown for the first three months. ”

His stare was intense as he listened to me.

Why is he looking at me like that? Before he responded, he leaned forward on the table.

“That’s cool. You can send over an invoice for the first month with the contract.

We’ll all keep an eye on her adjustment to know how we need to change the schedule if needed.

” I agreed, then jotted down notes on my tablet.

His next words caused my head to pop up from my tablet.

“Now that that’s over, are you going to let me take you on a date? ”

I wasn’t sure why I was surprised that he asked me out. I mean, I did fuck this man. My mind went blank for a split moment. “Um, I need to speak with my sister for a moment.”

I didn’t give him a chance to respond before I jumped up from my seat. “Wynsdae, I need to see you in my office please.” I didn’t give her a chance to deny the request before I pulled her behind me.

“Damn, girl! What’s wrong?” Wynsdae asked with concern dripping from her tone. “He doesn’t want to enroll her?” Disappointment seeped through.

I waved her off. “Girl, no, he wants to enroll her. I’m sending him and his mother the contract and invoice for the first month after he leaves.” I paused for a quick beat. “He asked me out on a date.”

Her face tightened before she peeked over her shoulder.

She walked to my office door, then closed it.

When she turned to look at me, I knew she was about to cuss me out.

“Bitch, I know good and well you didn’t pull me back here because the man that you let smut you out actually asked you on a date. I know that’s not what it is.”
