Chapter 54 Let Me Love You
The soft rustling of fabric filled the room as Ira folded Aarav’s shirts, carefully stacking them on the bed. The day had been long, filled with laughter, family moments, and a certain husband who couldn't stop stealing glances at her.
She was lost in her thoughts when she suddenly felt warm arms wrap around her waist from behind. A familiar scent enveloped her—his scent.
Aarav rested his chin on her shoulder, his voice husky as he murmured,
“You take care of everyone, Ira… but who takes care of you?”
Ira paused, a soft smile playing on her lips. “You do.”
At her words, Aarav turned her around gently, his hands cupping her face, his thumbs stroking her cheeks. His dark, unreadable eyes held a depth that made her heart race.
“Then let me do it properly,” he whispered.
Before she could protest, he lifted her effortlessly into his arms.
“Aarav! What are you doing? Put me down!” she squeaked, struggling lightly.
He ignored her, walking toward the bed and laying her down carefully, as if she were made of glass. Then, without a word, he knelt down at the foot of the bed, taking her ankle in his hands.
Ira blinked in confusion, attempting to sit up. “Aarav—”
“Shh,” he interrupted, his deep gaze locking onto hers. “No arguments. Just let me love you the way I want.”
Her breath hitched as he took her foot and started massaging it slowly, his warm hands kneading the soreness away. His touch was both gentle and possessive, his fingers working with a patience that made her heart ache.
“You run around all day, taking care of others. Let me take care of you for once.” His voice was low, almost a whisper.
Ira stared at him, completely mesmerized. Her ruthless husband, the man feared by the business world, was sitting at her feet, worshiping her with his hands.
But he didn’t stop there.
Aarav leaned down, pressing a slow, lingering kiss on the arch of her foot.
Ira sucked in a sharp breath, her fingers tightening around the bedsheet.
He kissed her ankle, then her shin, his lips burning a trail up her leg.
Each kiss was slow, deep, and filled with unspoken emotions.
Ira tried to pull away, but he held her in place, his grip firm yet gentle.
“A-Aarav…” she breathed, her cheeks turning scarlet.
“I don’t know how to love you gently,” he confessed, his voice hoarse, raw.
His lips moved up, pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses on her calf, his hands caressing her skin as if memorizing her.
Ira’s heart pounded in her chest, her body reacting to every single touch.
And then, just when she thought he would push further—
He stopped.
Aarav moved up, hovering over her, pressing his forehead against hers.
Their breaths mingled, the air between them heavy with tension.
“Tell me to stop,” he whispered, his lips hovering over hers.
Ira’s fingers slid into his hair, tugging him closer.
“Never.”
And with that, she closed the distance, sealing her answer with a kiss—one that left them both breathless,
As their lips parted, Ira’s breath was shaky, her fingers still tangled in Aarav’s hair. She stared into his dark eyes, her heart racing, her body trembling under his intense gaze.
Aarav didn't move away. Instead, he pulled her into his arms, wrapping her in a warm, secure embrace.
She melted into him, resting her head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
Silence filled the room, but it wasn’t empty—it was comforting.
Aarav ran his fingers through her hair, his grip tightening protectively.
“Ira…” he murmured, pressing a soft kiss on the top of her head.
She hummed in response, her hands resting on his back.
“I don’t get attached to people easily,” he admitted, his voice raw, filled with honesty. “But with you… it just happened. I don’t even know when or how.”
Ira smiled softly, her grip on his shirt tightening. “You don’t have to explain. I know.”
Aarav pulled back slightly, his fingers tilting her chin up so she could meet his gaze.
“Tomorrow night, we’re going out for dinner.”
Ira blinked. “Dinner?”
He smirked. “Alone. Just us. No family, no interruptions.”
Ira’s eyes widened. “But… everyone will—”
“I don’t care,” he interrupted. “It’s just one night. You’re mine, and I want to spend time with you. Only you.”
A warm blush spread across her cheeks, and she bit her lip, looking away.
“What’s wrong?” Aarav asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Nothing… just…” She smiled shyly. “You’re too romantic sometimes.”
Aarav chuckled, pulling her into his lap, making her yelp. “Get used to it, Mrs. Malhotra.”
She giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Fine… dinner date it is.”
Aarav smirked. “That’s my girl.”
The night ended with both of them lying together, wrapped in each other’s warmth, as Ira slowly drifted into sleep—knowing that tomorrow, something special awaited her.
