Epilogue
Thirteen years later
It’s too damn late for the phone to be ringing. “Make it stop, Gaetano,” I plead.
“Yeah?” He answers. “What do you mean? Max didn’t go to Chicago. I told him not to. Fuck. Yeah. I’ll be there.”
“What? Max promised he wouldn’t go.” I roll out of bed at the same time as Gaetano.
“Sweetheart, I need you to stay here. I’ll go get him.”
I open my mouth to argue, but the phone rings again, cutting me off. It’s Sandro’s ringtone.
He answers. “Yeah, it sounds like something big went down in Chicago. I need to catch a ride with you. Give me five and I’ll be on my way. No, she’s staying here. Okay, see you then.”
“Wait, Sandro’s going to? Why?” I’m so fucking confused.
“Angel, it was Dominic on the phone. He told me to come and get my kid. I don’t know what’s going on, but something happened, and it doesn’t sound good.”
The urge to argue that I could go with him is killing me. I can’t. Sophia is due any day. If she weren’t living with us, I would have thought the call was from her asking for me to be with her. “Okay. Call me as soon as you get your hands on our son.”
“I will.” He presses a kiss to my cheek, then he goes to get dressed.
What the fuck happened in Chicago? Why were Sandro’s kids and Max there? Why was the Don of the Outfit calling everyone himself? This felt big and scary.
I hope you enjoyed this story. If you did, please, please leave a review.
If you haven’t read me before and are interested in reading Carina and Sandro’s story it is His Vicious Vow and available everywhere, here . Her story starts with her sister’s though which is Beautiful Broken Obsession, so maybe check that out first, the blurb is below this one.
His Vicious Vow
The barely old enough to drink girl I’m forced to marry is an anime-loving, manga-reading, selective mute brat who wears too much eyeliner that highlights the anger in her eyes. Neither of us want this marriage, but it will happen.
I’ve worked too hard for too long not to do whatever it takes to run Vegas on behalf of the Outfit.
I’m not surprised when Carina runs. What I wasn’t ready for is how much I want to catch her. Not because I have to marry her, because I want to—want her. I want her for her. Panic attacks, eyeliner, curvy gorgeous body, and all. The problem comes with convincing her.
Carina may take some to believe me, believe in me. I’m not worried. We have all the time in the world because she belongs to me, and I’m never letting her go.
This features rough scenes and a young woman self-medicating. And a ‘warning’ I never thought I would have to include is there is pregnancy in the book. If such things offend you please do not buy.

Beautiful Broken Obsession
“You’re getting married. Milos Levin needs a wife. He heads the Russian mafia—Bratva—here in Chicago. It’s time for him to get married, he wants kids and he wants them soon.”
Ice slides down my spine. Milos Levin is a man who has haunted my dreams and nightmares for the last four years. As the daughter of the Don of the Outfit, I knew this was a possibility. Yet I hoped since I made it to the ancient age of twenty-three, I was safe from a mob marriage. I’m the weird cat lady, too fat, and my mother is half Filipino. I shouldn’t have anyone asking for me—but Milos isn’t asking for me .
All he wants is a woman who fits his needs, someone who will cement his relationship with the Outfit and give him the children he wants. He would take my sister if she were willing because, as he told Carlo, all women are the same in the dark. But Carlo picked me, and I’ll do anything to protect my little sister.
Or so I tell myself—but that’s the biggest lie of all. The truth is four years ago I met Milos Levin on a freezing February morning, and I’ve never been the same since. I’ll marry him because I think that day, as crazy as it sounds, I fell in love with him.
But I can’t let Milos know that. Ever. He’s mafia, and whatever the name, their ways are all the same: take until there’s nothing left, then leave the enemy broken. I won’t be broken by him, or anyone. I won’t become my mother, willing to endure the affairs and lies in exchange for the money and status.
Four years and three months—one thousand, five hundred and forty-seven days—I have known Celia was mine. I have watched over her, listened to her, protected her. There is nothing I have not done and would not do to keep her safe and mine.
What it started as. I do not know. but now it can only be defined as an obsession. Celia is mine. Like me, she has known it all this time. Why she is suddenly fighting me as our wedding day draws closer,I do not understand. It does not matter. The day is nothing more than a formality.
I have never claimed to be a good or patient man. For her I was. That time is at an end. My kitten is baring her claws. She will find the veneer of civility I show the world is far thinner than she ever imagined—for in the end I am Bratva. We take what we want, ruthlessly and completely, and we never let it go.
***This is a standalone first in series that does not end in a cliffhanger. There is also no third-act breakup. While Tony and Dominic Sabatini from the HIS: Sabatini Family series appear, you need not have read them to enjoy this. This novel includes spankings and rough sexual scenes. If such things offend you, please do not purchase. ***
HIS
Any minute I’m going to wake up from this nightmare. Being tied up and thrown in the trunk of a car doesn’t happen in real life. Except the silk tie around my wrists feels very real. And my father, Johnny Conti, the head of the Outfit, is telling me to be a good girl—that I’m to be the wife of the man who tied me up and has me over his wide shoulder.
Some women might swoon over gorgeous Dominic Sabatini with his blue eyes, dimples, and muscled body in a silk suit. Not me. Those are just distractions from who, what he really is: a ruthless killer with blood on his hands and ice in his veins.
There is no way Dominic could actually want to marry me. A virgin, curvy, buried in an all-girls Catholic boarding school for most of my life and seventeen years younger than him. He’s marrying so far beneath him it’s absurd.
No to all of it. Tomorrow I’m going to marry the man of my dreams, a nice, kind accountant. I’m going to have the safe, boring life I’ve always longed for. I have to escape this nightmare. But Dominic growls I belong to him and he keeps what is his.
This a mafia romance with dark elements. While this is the first book in a series it is a standalone and does not end in a cliffhanger.
