Awards Banquet
Ryker
Ryker watched Jason Gibbons walk into the banquet area with a tall blond chick on his arm.
Why he was so jealous was a mystery. Sure, he’d had fantasies.
Jason was frequently a feature from his spank bank.
He was a handsome man, after all. But. And it was a big but.
He was Cole Lindt’s friend. Good friend.
He worked with Cole’s lover, Nix, all the time.
He was also good friends with Ryker’s boss, Gavin Peri, who ran BikeMax Toyota, and they currently held his contract.
Plus, Jason was straight. Obviously, since his date was a gorgeous woman.
Jason spotted them and smiled as he escorted the woman across the room. “Hey. Cole, Nix, you know Jill. And this is Brian and Ryker.” He held his hand out as he introduced everyone.
Ryker smiled, but it wasn’t a happy smile, more like a grimace.
Jason frowned. Even with that grumpy expression, he was sexy as hell. He started to say something, but the ceremony was starting. He had to sit. His date, Jill, moved to sit between Jason and Ryker, but Jason moved her to the other side.
And the last thing Ryker, and Ryker’s hardening cock, needed was to sit by Jason, but he could hardly protest.
They sat through the presentation and Tricky Tracks, the documentary about Cole, won in their category.
Jason got up to accept the award with Nix, who pulled Cole along with him.
The movie was about Cole, after all. Plus, it was more than that.
It had brought Cole and Nix together. It was romantic, and that was probably what gave it that extra umph.
Ryker had seen it, and he was in a few spots, but definitely not the star.
Jason had not only helped Nix with the filming but had written the script and hired an amazing narrator.
And Ryker knew too much about all of it. He’d become good friends with Cole, and subsequently Nix, and on a smaller level, Jason.
“Huge thanks to this man right here, Cole Lindt.” Nix was going on about them. Ryker rolled his eyes, but Jill had busted him.
She leaned toward him over Jason’s vacant seat. “I wanted to tell you something,” she whispered.
“What?” Ryker’s eyes darted away from her breasts that were practically falling out of her dress and up to the stage where Jason was about to thank the world.
“I’m Jason’s sister.”
Ryker’s eyes grew wide. “Sister?”
Jason spoke into the mic, “I’d like to thank the entire BikeMax team.”
All Ryker heard was she’s his sister echoing through his brain.
