Chapter Tiana #4
Parker’s face got less tight with the joke and he settled closer to me despite the arms of our chairs being in between us.
With his brother no longer in the suite, I was sure he’d want to move to one of the available loveseats.
Normally, his family parked themselves directly behind us hoping to be picked up by the cameras and spotlighted during the broadcasts.
They never were and the cameramen always found Parker no matter where we sat.
“I should stop calling you Princess and start calling you Duchess.”
Thankful that he was loosening up I grinned and kissed his cheek. “Definitely feeling real Meghan Markle around this bitch.”
“And that’s the problem. Nobody, especially not some muthafuckas that need me to eat, is going to make you feel any of the way they made her feel.
He left everything behind and had to depend on others to ensure that she was safe.
My path isn’t nearly that hard so I have even less issue with removing them.
” His brows were furrowed again, two angry, dark slashes over his eyes.
As badly as I wanted to, I refrained from manually soothing them.
“I’m not even going to ask you if you’re sure because I know the only reason you kept them around this long was to not rock the boat and have people blaming me for fracturing your family.”
He smiled, the first genuine one since before Peter came over and I hoped it stayed that way. “You’re learning the game.”
I reached for the champagne flute that was resting on the coffee table in front of us. The main suite attendant had brought it over with Parker’s drink and I took a sip not minding that it was not as chilled as it had been.
“I am. Hate that you even have to play it but I know there are reasons behind your actions. I trust you that you’re always going to do the right thing for me. For us.”
Parker got a funny look on his face before his cheeks flushed with color.
It wasn’t so much red like the tips of his ears, it’s almost like he got more golden and red infused briefly into his skin tone.
Probably the two native women who had been abused by his family showing up and out.
Parker shared blood with his family, but he looked nothing like them at all.
They all had lighter hair and the type of skin that looked constantly red.
He had blue eyes, thankfully not the trailer park blue because of inbreeding, but his skin was more tan than white.
“You trying to have me clear out this suite to suck your pussy off the bone again, Princess?” When Parker licked his lips and flared his nostrils like he could still taste me from this morning I swear I was squeezing my thighs together the way that woman in red in The Five Heartbeats did.
I really let this man turn me out.
“You really not playing fair knowing I’m wearing this one of a kind outfit and now my damn panties are wet.”
“Taking them off is always an option, baby.”
“Not you going into smooth-ass white boy mode at a time like this.”
He laughed like he did every time I teased him about being white.
Parker said he never took offense to it because there was zero reason for white people to be proud of much in this country since most of their accomplishments came based on genocide, theft, murder and rigging the system.
He made it clear that he would never make Black jokes like some of the cringy interracial content creators did because that was just barely veiled racism and them living their racial kink out loud.
For the life of him, he couldn’t understand how people could take pictures in cotton fields let alone when one half of the couple was Black.
That led into a whole other conversation about coons and their proximity to whiteness.
In the time we’d been together, he’d learned far more than he’d ever expected, which was crazy considering he knew far more than the average white person.
I loved this man with every fiber of my being, but I still wasn’t about to invite him to the cookout. He could fund that shit though.
“You’re lucky that kick-off is in less than six minutes, Tay. We're gonna see the baby, have dinner with your folks, but you for damn sure are missing work tomorrow.” He kissed my cheek again but he knew that wasn’t going to make me do what he wanted.
“That wouldn’t be fair to my co-workers, Mr. Phillips.”
“I normally like to be fair but fuck that. Making sure I can keep you creaming all over my dick well into tomorrow is the perk of being the boss. I’ve been telling you to act like this shit is yours, too, baby.
Maybe one day you’ll listen.” His eyes were glowing and as the player’s names started to be called I got a funny feeling in my chest. Instead of feeding into it, I ignored it and thought about how much fun we were going to have tonight.
“For a night of getting my back blown out, all you’ll hear me say is Yes, sir.”
“Him so cute, Ray!”
I was whispering yelling at my cousin and I swore my ovaries were going to melt out of my body with the way I was cooing over this baby.
He had to be one of the prettiest babies I’d ever seen.
I thanked God for my cousin being as fine as she was because her two oldest sons were adorable despite their daddy looking like the result of a gremlin getting wet.
They were turning into handsome young men and this little boy here was nothing short of pretty.
Unlike his bald-headed daddy, he had a head full of curls that still sported his placenta perm since he’d only been out less than two weeks.
And Rachelle lost the battle of melanin supremacy because Douglas Stewart III was just as caramel as his daddy.
Praise God he didn’t get his lightbulb-shaped head though.
I would’ve felt bad for Ray and her coochie if she had to push out a head that was a mini version of Stew’s.
“You got your shots so you don’t have to wear that mask, Tiana.”
Rachelle smiled down at the latest addition to her family before she looked back up at me.
Stew refused to let her come to the game and I wasn’t going to miss it.
Being half of a power couple was crazy work that I hadn’t expected.
You hear billionaire and you think asshole, capitalist piece of shit and you wouldn’t be wrong.
I just so lucked out on a man that saw his flaws and wanted to use the money that had been stained with the blood of others to give recompense to those affected.
Why am I over here being mushy about Parker’s ass?
He was somewhere wandering around Stew and Ray’s house with our families as I’d come directly in here to see the baby after I’d spoken to our folks.
It had to be a mix of how he’d bossed up on his brother and the win that had me feeling so mushy.
We’d changed at the stadium and I’d gotten the edge taken off with a quickie in his private office near the locker room.
“Yeah, but I was in the suite with the randoms and I’m not about to have my little nephew get any of their germs.” My voice got softer and higher pitched as I reached down to touch Dougie’s little foot.
I was shocked his PopPop wasn’t in here to scoop up his grandson.
The entire Stewart family wanted to descend on Texas after Dougie was born but his age prevented them from coming.
They’d video chatted with him and got to meet him virtually but so far only his grandparents, me and my parents had been allowed to see him.
Oh, and Parker. And Lord knows that did something for his heart that I hadn’t expected.
He kept trying to figure out the best gift to buy the baby and his brothers because he damn near cried when Stew told him he could come and visit Ray and the baby.
I’d been here for the birth and was too tired to talk him out of anything since I was Ray’s acting doula and baby nurse the first week.
When he showed up with enough food to feed everyone for a week, groceries, cigars for Stew, a spa package for Ray when she felt up to it and games for the boys, I was moved to tears.
He’d told me I was included on Ray’s spa day, not like my ass was going to need an invitation to go, but that his gift to me was waiting at home.
I was happily thinking it was dick but he’d had a masseuse come over and I finished the night with a bubble bath.
And of course, putting me to sleep with his dick.
Damn, that’s how that white man got me over here being mushy about his ass.
Rachelle grinned as she shifted slightly on the sofa. “You always talking about the people in the suite like they’re another species.”
I huffed as I rolled my eyes because those people were another species. Ray just giggled at me because Dougie was sleeping on her chest.
“Don’t play like those weirdos aren’t constantly on your nerves when they walk into the building.” I adjusted my mask because I didn’t want to remove it but it was on my nerves slightly.
Her brows rose as if she were remembering her aggravation whenever the two Peters were in the building.
I hadn’t told her what went down today but I knew she’d be all too happy to hear about it later.
Since Peter Sr. and his wife were out of town, they’d been spared Parker’s wrath today, but I knew it was going to visit them soon.
