Chapter 16
Chapter Sixteen
DOREN
The drive back to Linwood Falls was torture.
Jake’s grandmother had asked them to stay the night, and Doren had been willing, but they took one look at the hunger in Jake’s eyes and knew there wasn’t a chance of that happening.
Doren wouldn’t expose Rhonda’s elderly ears to the noises they planned to wring from Jake’s writhing body.
Doren had spent the first half hour of the drive in silence, vibrating in anticipation at what sexy mischief they would get up to once they returned to Linwood Falls. The trees and houses flew by as Jake sped up 495, as eager as Doren was to get to their destination.
At some point, though, Doren couldn’t take it anymore, and shifted one of their fingers. Focused on the road, Jake didn’t have a clue what Doren was up to until the first tentacle caressed his ankle.
Jake let out a gasp that instantly hardened Doren’s cock. They adored those noises. Jake was just so responsive, and there was something so enticing about a man in this thick package shaking like a leaf at their touch.
“Doren, you can’t—”
Jake’s words cut off as he clenched his teeth in response to Doren’s tentacle reaching his nutsack. Slipping up inside Jake’s boxer briefs, Doren teased Jake’s balls, cupping and rolling them, first one then the other, pulling them away from Jake’s body and testing the stretch.
“I’m driving!” Jake’s voice was higher pitched now, cracking as Doren continued to tease him.
“So concentrate on the road, and I shall concentrate on you.”
Jake whined as Doren abandoned his balls to slide the very tip of their tentacle up their hard shaft. Jake’s underwear had a little give to them, thank goodness. There was just enough room for Doren to get up to real trouble. They smiled as they massaged Jake’s dick.
Jake’s knuckles turned white as he gripped the steering wheel even harder. “If I come, I’ll crash the car.”
Doren let out a low chuckle. This sweet, silly man did not know what was in store for him. “Oh, I’ll not let you come. That is for when we arrive back at the house.”
The sob that escaped from Jake’s throat was the most delicious sound Doren had ever heard. They wanted more of that.
With careful, unrelenting movement, Doren wrapped their tentacle all the way around Jake’s cock, squeezing and releasing, pulsing around the shaft.
“Holy fuck, Doren…” Jake forced out through clenched teeth.
Doren only smiled. It was now their job to make sure this man always felt good, always knew how much Doren cared for him.
Producing a second tentacle, Doren snaked up Jake’s sleeve and found the light hair of his broad chest. Making their way to Jake’s nipples, they applied pressure in unison with Jake’s pulsing cock.
“I…we might die, Doren.” Jake’s eyes were still open, but he was fighting to keep his concentration. Out of caution, Doren sent a spare tentacle up and around the steering wheel.
Better safe than sorry.
Ceasing their squeezing for a moment, Doren pulled on Jake’s dick at an excruciating pace. At least, Doren assumed it was excruciating considering the gasps and moans coming out of Jake’s mouth.
“What are you doing to me?” Jake’s eyes were locked to the windshield, his body frozen and unmoving except for the slightest trembling. Doren delighted in that quivering, knowing they were driving Jake crazy.
Doren wouldn’t allow an ounce of doubt in Jake’s heart. They’d exorcise it with orgasms, if they had to. By the time Doren was done with him, Jake would never believe he was anything but sexy, deserving, and the center of Doren’s world.
Whatever paltry bedroom skills Jake’s ex had possessed would be long forgotten after a few more nights with Doren. They were certain of it.
“I’m proving my adoration of you on your body, my sweet. And I’m going to do that until we’ve returned to the beach house.” Doren punctuated each of their sentences with a strong pulse of their tentacles.
“But that’s still at least an hour away.” Jake’s gaze darted to Doren, then back to the road. “I’ll never make it.”
“Oh, I’m certain you will survive. I’d never allow harm to come to you.” Doren couldn’t keep the wide grin from forming on their face. They could picture a life of torturing this man with pleasure. “But by the time we arrive at the beach house, you will be begging.”
Jake let out another sob, and Doren leaned in to him, whispering in his ear. “Do you want me to stop?”
He shook his head, although the growing terror on Jake’s face was a strange contrast to his unabashed enthusiasm. “No one’s ever…I don’t know. I’ve always been the one making my partners feel good. It’s just how I thought I was wired. But with you, I love to let you take care of me.”
Doren hummed low, producing yet another tentacle. “And I love to care for you, baby. Now allow me to do what we both want me to do.”
Doren’s newest tentacle snaked up Jake’s arm on the outside of his shirt, taking a moment to slide across his throat and flick at his earlobe before tapping its tip on Jake’s closed lips.
As if by instinct, Jake opened his mouth. Doren adored how game he was when it came to intimacy. They were going to have many years of scalding hot sex together.
Jake wrapped his lip around the tip of Doren’s tentacle, sucking it as if it were a pacifier. Doren watched as his body calmed and relaxed, although he still kept his eyes on the empty highway in front of them.
Doren’s tentacle savored Jake’s tongue. Their man tasted of sweet blueberry pie mixed with the saltiness of turkey and the tartness of the cranberry sauce. Jake was like an expensive feast.
And so they continued on, one of Doren’s tentacles stroking Jake’s cock, another exploring his body, and another in his mouth. Over and over again, Doren brought Jake right to the edge, stopping only just before he came.
Against all odds, they didn’t crash. Doren only had to take control of the wheel once.
By the time they reached the beach house, Jake was trembling uncontrollably, his muscles jumping and twitching from being on the cusp of orgasm for so long.
Once Jake shoved the car into park, Doren released their grip. Jake cried out as Doren’s tentacles receded, but once he was free he pushed the car door open, nearly ripping it off the hinges, and ran for the house.
Doren stopped a few feet short of the front door and gestured at the path leading to the beach.
“Why don’t we proceed into the water?”
Jake stared at them with a look of absolute disbelief on his face. “It’s freezing out. I’d get hypothermia in seconds.”
“I’m certain I can keep you warm.” Doren reached out their hand, and after staring at them with a puzzled expression, Jake took it. The two of them headed down the path and onto the beach.
Stars dotted the indigo night, and the pale light of the full moon lay like ribbons on the gentle waves. Winter air invaded Doren's lungs, a bracing blast that shook off the drowsiness of the long drive.
As they reached the water, Jake slowed, confusion written on his face. “I don’t understand what—”
“Let me.” Doren’s tentacles burst forth, more than they’d ever revealed on land before, but they didn’t care. They were here with Jake, and Linwood Falls had emptied for the winter. No one would be watching. They needed this.
And Doren had a theory they wanted to test.
Tentacles winding through the air, Doren unfastened all of Jake’s zippers and buttons, sliding his clothes off and stripping him naked to the brisk sea air.
Jake was beautiful in the moonlight, solid and substantial.
Lust stirred in Doren, stronger than ever before, and they slipped out of what remained of their own clothing as well.
The two stared at each other, each with an erection jutting out, Doren’s longer and slimmer than Jake’s thicker, heavier cock.
Jake shook his head, his brow furrowed. “It’s freezing out. I should be a human icicle. What’s happening?”
Doren let out a laugh, long and joyous, letting the sound float out over the water. “Sweetheart. You are my bondmate.”
Jake cocked his head, his eyebrows furrowing at Doren’s declaration. “What does that mean?”
The tentacles wrapped around Jake’s limbs, guiding him back to Doren, their naked skin connecting as the appendages bound them to each other.
“That our physiologies are compatible. More than compatible. We are meant to be together. I wasn’t certain it was possible.”
Jake rested his head on Doren’s chest with a satisfied sigh. “Well, I’m not an alien, so I don’t know how we’re alien soulmates, as wonderful as it sounds.”
“We all assumed it wasn’t possible. But if the cold doesn’t affect you…”
“What do you mean?” Jake murmured. They fit so perfectly together. Doren wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of eternity close like this.
“In my species, bondmates gain the physical strengths of their partners. You are human, which makes the difference more drastic. If you can be out in the cold without even shivering, you have to be mine.”
Doren’s tongue was suddenly heavy in their mouth. Something about saying the word “bondmate” out loud a second time was harder. The first time it was almost accidental. Now it meant more. It meant admitting that Jake was the only one, that the two were destined and bound.
Doren felt as though they were lying exposed on an exam table. If Jake didn’t want this, it would be like having their insides ripped out.
Silence hung in the air between them. Jake’s heartbeat thumped hard against their side. Finally, he tilted his head up, his eyes glistening, wearing an inscrutable expression.
“Are you sure you want me as a…as a bondmate?” Jake asked in a tiny, almost childlike voice, in contrast with the his round, bearded face.
“I have never desired anything more,” Doren replied, enveloping Jake in their tentacles and lifting him off the ground. Jake yelped as if he were worried Doren might drop him, but Jake’s weight was as nothing in Doren’s powerful grip.
