Chapter Twenty #2
The precipice was nearly upon her when Travis sat back on his heels, tossed her legs over his shoulders, and lifted her ass high, hitting a spot inside her that she was sure had been previously undiscovered country.
Travis planted his flag, tapping against it again and again.
Parker could hardly breathe as she panted, her whole body covered in a sheen of sweat and feeling tighter than one of her corkscrew curls.
The moment Travis reached down and started pinching her clit, she was a goner.
With a hoarse cry of his name, Parker came, and came some more as he continued to pile drive her against the sheets.
Only when she’d whimpered from being overstimulated did Travis finally give in to his own need and shoot his release, filling her with warmth that traveled all the way up to her heart and settled there.
After planting a series of gentle kisses on her chest, collarbone, neck, and cheek, Travis rolled to the side, pulling her along to rest on his chest. They were both sweaty and spent from the exertion, and she could feel herself slipping into sleep a little when Travis suddenly stirred underneath her, hugging her a little more tightly to him.
“Wish I could stay,” he whispered.
Parker rested her chin on his chest and stared at his handsome face. “Why can’t you?” At his raised brow, she smiled. “Your mom told Kit she was sleeping over, so that means you can too if you like.”
Travis huffed a laugh. “Mom the wingman.” He leaned down and kissed the top of her head. “Let’s get some rest. Can go again as soon as you’re ready.”
Parker smiled, her drowsiness now completely gone. “What if I’m ready now?”
Travis smiled and nodded down to his still erect penis. “Then we’ll go now.” With a smirk, Parker climbed on top of him, happy to be able to show the man just how happy he made her.

The sound of birdsong greeted Parker as she made her way to the big house for breakfast. Travis had snuck out earlier that morning, not wanting to get caught off guard by Kit.
Parker needed to talk to her daughter about Travis, but in all the getting swept away by their feelings for one another, they hadn’t really discussed what they were to each other.
Parker knew where she was, head over heels in love with the man, but before she ran off and started making plans for the future, she needed to know what that would look like for the three of them.
Enjoying the moment had been her motto over the last few weeks with Travis, but now that there was the potential for a future, she wanted to start building it as quickly as possible.
The closer she got to the back porch, the less birdsong she heard and the more the sound of loud laughter drifted toward her, when she looked up at the open back porch of the main house, she could see why.
Sitting at the long wooden table that seemed reserved for large gatherings was by every member of Travis’s family.
Platters of breakfast food and glasses of orange juice were being carefully arranged by different family members while others milled around and chatted.
With a smile and a nod of hello, Parker went to head into the house when her daughter came barreling outside.
Kit nearly bowled her over, her face filled with excitement. “Can we stay for breakfast, Mom?” She looked over at the table containing French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and bowls of freshly cut fruit. “Please. Beckett says his mom makes the best French toast, so we have to try it.”
Parker looked over at Beckett who smiled as he wrapped his arm around Willa, kissing her temple and resting his hand over her non-existent baby bump. “It’s true.” He shot a look to his older brother and mock frowned. “Sorry, Aiden.”
Aiden rolled his eyes as he placed a pitcher of water down at the table. “I would be offended, but you are the same person who regularly eats hot dogs, so I’ll take your preferences with a heaping spoonful of salt.” Nicole lightly slapped his chest, but smiled at his teasing.
Beckett and Aiden started to lightly squabble, but Parker tuned it out as Kit was tugging on her arm, looking like a lost puppy begging for scraps.
Parker nodded. “We can stay, but only because I still need to do this week’s shopping.
” She looked over at the group and smiled apologetically.
“Is it okay with you guys if we crash your breakfast?”
“Of course it is,” Nolan said. He walked out onto the porch followed by his wife, Nate, Felix and Autumn, and finally Travis. When his eyes met her, a knowing smile came over his face. “You are welcome anytime you like.”
Parker nodded, her eyes never leaving Travis. “Thank you.” Travis walked up to her and gently placed his hand at her lower back. “Do you think we can talk later?” she whispered to him. He looked slightly alarmed, so she tried to smile reassuringly. “About us. About the future.”
Travis nodded and leaned over to kiss her cheek. Parker blushed knowing his whole family witnessed it as well as her daughter, but when she gazed over at the table, no one looked the tiniest bit surprised, not even Kit. “Later.”
Parker nodded and took her seat in between Travis and Kit, feeling very much like she was in the place she belonged with the people she belonged to.
A bright future that looked remarkably similar to the present she was experiencing in that moment flashed before her eyes and she smiled, hoping to make that future a reality as quickly as possible.
