Chapter 19 No Choice but All of Us
There might be a fierce nurse in the hospital, but there wasn't one at home.
Three tall, big men squeezed onto my sofa. Just looking at them gave me a headache.
"What exactly are you all thinking?"
Three pairs of eyes snapped toward me.
All at once: "What is Xiao Miao thinking?"
I just wanted peace.
I sighed and shook my head.
"I don't know."
I'm not someone who decides quickly. If it were only Liang Ye, I knew I'd hesitate for a while and then end up with him.
But then Xu Muchi came into the picture, and things got complicated. And now Gu Xun too.
My feelings for the three of them were all different, but they all liked me.
I couldn't pick the one I liked most.
And I couldn't eliminate the one I disliked most either.
After thinking for a while, I took a deep breath and said my decision in one go.
"Since I can't make a choice... how about we just keep things the way they are now?"
I thought they'd agree. But all three rejected it at the same time.
"No way!"
Xu Muchi spoke first. "If you don't choose, none of us will give up. In the end we'll still all be squeezed together, and no one will be happy."
Gu Xun nodded.
"He's right. You'd still be the one suffering."
Both of them said that. When it came to Liang Ye, his eyes turned red and he looked wronged.
"Xiao Miao, are you rejecting me with other people again this time?"
My heart trembled.
"I..."
Seeing that move worked, the other two froze for a second. Then all three started another round of the who-looks-most-pitiful contest.
I was starting to feel numb watching it.
It seemed no matter what kind of man, when it came to courtship, they only had these few tricks.
Finally I couldn't listen anymore. I snapped.
"Since none of you will accept whoever I choose, and not choosing isn't an option either—fine, then don't choose anyone! We four can just live our days well together. Isn't that better than anything?"
Then I started mocking.
"One's the next-door Liang Ye, one's the fake-incest big Brother-in-law, and one's the boss you don't want to lose your job over. You three are so twisted—how could I possibly be happy without any one of you!"
