Chapter 21
Londa sat in her room with the door locked, a smile big as Chicago, and enough money and drugs to start her own operation if she wanted to.
Drugs weren’t her niche though; she didn’t know the first thing about moving weight.
She knew she couldn’t go to Cease because he was next on her list. The shit was too easy, she paid those niggas off and still had over a hundred thousand dollars.
Ty knocked on the door, Londa hopped up with the biggest smile on her face. When she opened the door and Ty saw all the money on the bed, her eyes grew wide.
“Londa, what the fuck? Where all this money come from? You killed Chello?”
“Hell naw, but I robbed his ass blind.”
Ty’s mouth dropped to the floor, but she quickly closed it when Londa placed twenty thousand in her hands.
“What’s this for?”
“For you. Enjoy your summer, baby! Let me know when you ready to join the money team for real and put in some work.”
“So, is this my payout for Nyla because I haven’t done shit yet?”
“Fuck Nyla, you can do as you please with that bitch. I’m over her and her brother now.”
Ty smiled and shook her head at how wild and crazy her cousin was, but Londa was pure motivation.
“What are you going to do with that?” She pointed at the visible kilos tucked in the unzipped duffle on the floor.
“Move it and get some more money.”
Londa already knew how she was going to get rid of it, she was keeping shit in Harlem. She was going straight to Kyst simply because she knew he didn’t fuck with Chello and vice versa. Londa flopped on the bed and grabbed her phone.
Londa: Hey. I know you don’t fuck with me because of your little girlfriend, but I have a proposition for you.
Kyst: I’m not a proposition type of nigga and no, I don’t fuck with you.
Londa laughed to herself, it was cute how he fucked with Nyla so heavy, but not even good pussy could deter a nigga from ten kilos.
Londa: Lol, I get it and respect it, but I got enough powder on my hands to make you overlook the hate. Meet me tomorrow.
A long pause fell before his three dots popped up.
Kyst: I’m in Harlem, I’ll be back the weekend.
Londa: Perfect. See you Friday night.
“Who got you smiling like that?” Ty pried as Londa playfully rolled her eyes.
“Seeee, you in my business, don’t do thatttt.” Londa laughed and fell back on her bed.
She hadn’t seen that much money ever and it only made her want more.
Once Ty was out of her personal space, she got on the phone and set up the next hit for the next week.
Cease was up next. In the process of putting her shit in motion, Chello called, her heart started beating out her chest. She knew she couldn’t avoid him for long and she knew he was reaching out because he was going through it from the robberies. She calmed herself before answering.
“What?” she answered with an attitude like she normally would if she was mad at him, but she was terrified.
“Where you at?”
“Home, why?”
“I’m about to pull up on you.”
“What? Why? You ain’t been fuckin’ with me, go to Jada’s house!”
“Be there in ten minutes.”
He hung the phone up in her ear and she jumped up in a panic. Did he know? Was he about to kill her? She had to move that shit fast.
“TYYYY!” she yelled as her cousin came running.
“What? What’s wrong?”
“Bitch! Chello is on his way here, put this shit in your closet! Hurry up, get everything!”
Londa started throwing the money in the duffle as fast as she could, loose bills floated on to the floor. Sweat beaded up on her head as she and Ty ran from one room to the next, she had to calm the fuck down. Chello could smell fear a mile away and she wasn’t ready to die.
“Come on, we about to sit in the living room and drink, do not leave me alone with him no matter what!” Londa said in a panic as she closed Ty’s room door and ran to the kitchen to pour up.
“Girl, he might be tight with me about fighting his sister.”
“So! Turn the music on and roll a blunt,” she demanded as Ty moved to the sound of her voice.
By the time Chello knocked on her door, it seemed like they were having a time, in reality, both women were nervous as hell.
Londa stood up, took a deep breath, and put her best foot forward.
She jumped right into character and acted like she was still mad with him, she slightly was.
She opened the door and walked away as he walked inside.
Londa looked away because that was the finest nigga walking Chicago soil.
“What’s up?” Londa finally asked, taking her seat on the couch as Chello looked at both her and Ty.
“You tell me.”
He don’t know shit, keep it together, bitch! Londa siked her own mind before sipping her drink.
“You over here for what? You chose who was more important to you when you had your sister to pull up and fight me. That was a weak ass move, but it’s all good. What can I do for you?”
“My spots got hit, you heard anything?”
Londa replaced her angry face for a slightly concerned front.
“No. Why would I hear?” she asked, sitting straight up, the bitch deserved an Oscar for the role she was playing.
Chello stared at her for a minute like he was reading her, when his face softened, she knew he was buying her act.
Londa was nervous, not scared. Ty sat Indian style on the couch scrolling her phone like none of it bothered her.
He looked around slowly, one glance was all he ever needed.
He finally sat down, but he didn’t relax like he normally would.
“I just asked a question.”
“I answered. You know I don’t get in street shit.”
“I don’t know shit. What I do know is, my shit is missing and everyone in the city is a suspect.”
Londa giggled and shook her head, “Yeah, that bitch got you tripping on me hard. I was just laid up in the bed with you every night while you walked around me naked with your dick on soft. Now I’m a suspect? Insane, but carry on with the interrogation.” She waved her hand and grabbed her drink.
She forced herself to stay calm, but inside, alarms were screaming.
Simply because Chello’s eyes had shifted; he wasn’t angry, but worse, the nigga was thinking and analyzing, and when he started thinking quietly, people started dying…
loudly. She had to get rid of that shit hiding in the closet sooner than later.
She needed Kyst more than she thought. Chello was a shark and soon or later, he was going to bite.
