Chapter 16 #2

His tongue licked up her seam, and she almost came off the bed. In surprise. In shock.

He repeated the action, moving slowly in the other direction, causing desire to scream within her.

Then his tongue pushed inside her, causing her to whimper.

She began to moan, her head thrashing back and forth, her hips rising to meet him.

The now-familiar feeling grew inside her, and anticipation filled her, knowing now what pleasure would soon spill from her.

As he feasted on her, it built, coming to a head, and then exploding inside her.

“Yes!” she cried. “Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!”

Her body was no longer hers. It was his as she moved, the orgasm tearing through her. As it subsided, he slowly kissed his way back up her body until their mouths fused together. She wrapped her legs around him, pinning him to her, never wanting to let him go.

Time meant nothing as they explored one another’s bodies.

Touching. Tasting. Kissing. He was lean muscle everywhere, and her fingers delighted in touching him.

Kissing him. Licking him. She did everything by instinct, and he made appreciative noises, so she knew he liked what she did to him, just as she reveled in the ways he touched her.

She was aware of his cock. It grew larger and larger until she was afraid it might explode. He moved away from her, opening the drawer to the nightstand, removing a foil packet. He tore it open and sheathed himself as she watched in fascination.

“The next time, I want to do that for you,” she said boldly.

“Then I’ll let you.”

He hovered above her now. “Are you sure this is what you want?”

“I want you inside me more than I’ve ever wanted anything. Anything,” she repeated for emphasis.

“Good.” His look of satisfaction caused another wave of desire to flood her.

He kissed her deeply, and she could feel his fingers parting her, readying her for him.

“You’re slick. Wet. Ready for me,” he said, his voice low and possessive.

“Yes. Now,” she urged. “Now.”

She felt the head of his penis press against her for a moment, and then he thrust deeply into her. Filling her. He stayed still, and she knew he was letting her get used to the feel of him inside her.

Slowly, he began to move. At first, she didn’t know if she should also move, but her body responded to his dance. It took a moment, but they found a sweet rhythm. Soon, they danced atop the mattress, kissing, touching, needing, taking.

His finger also entered her, caressing her, circling, even as he drove into her.

The tension built within her, and she knew another orgasm was coming.

It erupted as he pounded into her, his own hoarse cry sounding with her own as they finished their dance of love in a frenzy.

Then he collapsed atop her, and she wrapped her legs and arms about him, holding this precious man to her.

She could feel the pounding of his heart, sure he could also feel hers, too.

Gradually, their hearts began to beat more slowly. She threaded her fingers through his hair. He rolled to his side, and they now faced one another. He leaned in for a long, soft kiss.

“How was it?” he asked, his hand now running up and down her bare back languidly.

“Amazing. I don’t know how it could get better than this.”

“It will,” he promised. “We’ll learn more about each another. Familiarity will breed an intimacy between us. We’ll have our own special love language.”

Paisley chuckled. “If it gets any better, it may kill me.”

Sawyer scooped her up, his arms enfolded about her. “Then I guess this will be the best way to go. Together,” he teased.

Then he sobered. “Paisley. Every kiss. Every touch. This was more than I could have expected.”

“I had no expectations going in,” she admitted. “Just a little bit of fear that we wouldn’t have a spark.”

“Oh, we practically burned the bed to the ground,” he joked. “We definitely have chemistry. You don’t need to worry about that.”

“It was good. We are good together,” she said, knowing in her bones what she said was true. Then without any prior thought, Paisley said, “I love you.”

The moment she heard the words, she wanted to take them back.

“I’m sorry. It was too soon to say that. We haven’t known one another long enough,” she babbled. “Don’t feel pressured to say them back. I don’t want to force you to—”

His finger pressed against her lips, silencing her. Sawyer gazed deeply into her eyes. A calm descended over her.

“I’ve wanted to say those words to you, but I was afraid I’d frighten you away. That you wouldn’t want to have anything to do with me.”

He held her close, her head against his broad chest, her ear pressed so that she heard the loud beat of his heart. He dropped a kiss on the top of her head.

“I love you, Paisley. I cherish you. And I want a life with you. It’s not the sex talking. I mean, it was amazing, but my feelings for you have been growing. So fast that it scares the hell out of me. But I can see a future for us.”

He tilted her chin up, pressing a soft kiss against her lips. “No promises for now. No heat of the moment declarations about what our future holds. Let’s just bask in this moment and know we love one another.”

She nodded. “Okay,” she said softly, and he kissed her again.

Paisley forced herself to put thoughts of tomorrow aside.

And revel in the here and now of today.
