VIVIANNA #2

First, let's take off anything you don’t want getting torn apart. A werewolf’s body is drastically different than a human’s.

I figured that since Rik stripped down in the middle of our escape. Seemed like it might be important to remember.

That is a sight I hope we never forget, his ass is werewolf perfection.

Giggling, I peeled out of the bra and undies, setting them aside for later. Okay, now what?

Now you need to let down the mental wall you built between us and allow me to take over. You must step back from control for me to take the lead.

Nodding to myself, I closed my eyes and tried to do what she said. I found the wall that separated us and felt around the edges to see how I could take it down. I’d had this barrier in place since I was born, keeping my wolf locked inside, so trying to bring it down now was proving difficult.

You have to want me to come to you. Trust in me, acknowledge that I’m a part of you. I don’t need to be hidden away anymore.

I shook out my shoulders, trying to relax and follow her instructions.

I thought over the first time that I awoke in my shifted form and how it felt.

The overwhelming feeling of safety that came with being wrapped up in my wolf was what stuck out to me the most. Grabbing onto that feeling, I reached out to her and pulled her toward me while I took a step to the side.

I knew I’d figured it out as she flowed past me, her energy shrouding me in a protected space.

The pain was still harsh, but it wasn’t as overwhelming.

Feeling my body fold and change still freaked me out, but I understood what was going on this time.

When I opened my eyes, a wolf stood in my place.

Still in disbelief, I lifted a paw and pushed it against the mirror just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things.

Feeling the cool glass under the pad of my paw, I pulled it back and shook out my coat.

Suddenly the air filled with white and gold fur dancing in the breeze of the air conditioner.

I felt a little guilty for making a mess, but figured they were all used to having dog hair around.

I was roughly the same size as a newfoundland, but thinner and more agile.

The golden hue was also much stronger in my wolf form, almost dominating the blue-green color of my human eyes.

I let out a yip of excitement as I twirled around to get a good look at myself in every angle.

In my excitement, I knocked over the shelving cubby that held all the bathroom supplies.

The crash was loud, and the items it held scattered all over the floor.

I halted my antics to look at the mess that I’d made.

Well, we can cross graceful off the list.

Hey, this isn’t all on me, you’re supposed to be helping me manage this body! What other reason could you and your annoying commentary be around for?

Before a real internal battle could ensue, the door to my bedroom burst open, and Rik was there, looking around. I ducked down and hid behind the half-open door of the bathroom.

“Viv, is everything okay? We heard a crash,” Rik said as he ventured further into the room, head swiveling from side to side, looking for danger.

Feeling his panic, I peeked my head around the door so he could see me.

I felt my ears fall in my embarrassment at causing him to worry.

I may not know if I wanted any of them as mate prospects, but I did owe them a lot for helping me escape.

Rik caught sight of me and took a deep breath, shaking his head.

“Got curious, hmm?” he asked, grinning at me.

I stumbled my way out of the bathroom, avoiding everything strewn on the floor. Almost free, I kicked a bottle of body wash at Rik, who stopped it with his foot. “Are you telling me I smell bad?”

I shook my head no and pounced on the bottle, causing it to skitter out into the hall.

Wanting to avoid more awkwardness about my mess, I ran after it to put it back in the bathroom.

Misjudging my stopping ability, I slid into the wall on the other side of the hallway right in front of the other three guys.

I froze at being caught in my bumbling idiocy firsthand.

“Look who’s test driving the fur,” Koit said, leaning against the wall outside my door.

“I’m impressed that you figured out how to shift so soon after your transformation,” Tavas said, squatting down so we were face-to-face.

He reached out and brushed his hand over my head like you would any dog. I started to let out a warning growl, but then he found a spot right between my ear and my shoulder. It felt heavenly, and I leaned into the affection, letting the warning fall away.

“Looks like the wolf tamer hasn’t lost his touch,” Darius said from the top step, like he was guarding the rear from attack.

Tavas huffed a laugh at the remark. “I’m not so sure, Darius, I think she might have hypnotized me. I would normally never touch without asking, but your fur looked so soft, I couldn’t help it.”

“Everything’s clear up here, looks like it was just an accident,” Rik said, stepping out of my room. He bent down and picked up the body wash, giving me a smirk. “I’ll take the offending product off your hands.”

I rolled my eyes and let out a wolf laugh that sounded like chuffing.

“What do you say to changing back and joining us for lunch? We want to get your opinion on the next move,” Tavas said, stopping his ministrations. I butted his hand with my nose, but he just smiled and put his hands in his pockets.

Okay, fine, be that way, ya tease, I grumbled as I padded back into my room, nudging the door closed.

Good lord, I never knew being pet could be so amazing. No wonder dogs beg for it. That shit’s addicting.

As much as I hate to admit it, that might be just as good as sex.

My wolf paused. I’m not sure, it’s been way too long for you to make that call.

Ouch. Just because I’m not a horny bitch in heat, jumping any man available, doesn’t mean I don’t remember good sex.

My wolf laughed. Oh, just wait till you’re in heat and I can rub that insult in your face.
