Orion #2
Looks like it’s on to plan B. Not like we were getting much but crazy ramblings as it was.
Dropping the hose, I walked over to my tool chest and pulled out a cattle prod I’d modified, before I slipped on my rubber boots.
Tav saw what I was up to and pulled Koit back to the dry part of the cell as I zapped the puddle Sofia was sitting in.
Her body went rigid as her eyes bulged and her mouth opened, but was unable to let out a scream.
I hit her a few more times in shorter bursts, and at random times to keep her guessing as her cries filled the cell.
Her screams seemed to call to Okami and I felt him fighting for control.
“We need her alive to answer questions,” I challenged trying to push him back.
“Do you not think I want to find our mate? This woman knows things, I don’t believe she is as crazy as she seems.”
“I don’t trust you to keep your anger in check if she tries to get you angry enough to kill her before she gives us the information.”
“Then don’t hide from me.”
“What the fuck are you talking about? I don’t hide from you, we share the same damn body.”
“Let me out, but like when you shift don’t lose yourself, stay present, with both of us we can be what our mate needs.”
“Does that mean you’ll listen to me and not just lock me away?”
“I’ve never locked you away...you did that to yourself.”
Deciding to take a chance, knowing I could only take the torture so far without him, I took a deep breath and looked at Tav. “If he goes too far, I don’t care what you have to do— DON’T let him kill her.”
Tav held my gaze and gave a sharp nod before he turned to Rik and Koit. “I think it’s time you guys left, we’ll make sure to let you know if we find anything out.”
Rik didn’t hesitate; he turned on his heel and grabbed Koit’s arm, dragging him out. I knew Rik understood what we were doing, but I also didn’t miss the looks of disapproval when Okami was brought into the situation. No one lived after he was done with them and Tav had acquired that trait as well.
Centering myself, I took a step back in my consciousness letting Okami take control, but as he pointed out, I didn’t hide myself away. Instead, I treated it as if I had just shifted and even though I wasn’t driving anymore, I was still aware of what my body was doing.
Okami
“Sofia, I think it’s time you were honest with us,” I stated. It was odd to hear my voice deeper and harsher than Orion normally spoke. It had been decades since I’d last been allowed this much freedom.
I crouched down in front of her and held the cattle prod against her cheek stroking her skin slowly. “My twin is the softer of the two of us, I will not be so kind. So, my suggestion is that you answer, or you will be begging for your life to end— but that won’t happen until we say so.”
Sofia’s eyes widened as she realized that the man who was talking to her might look the same, but it was very much a different person. “You...you can’t be real. They don’t come down to earth anymore...the gods left us to fight our own battles. How can you exist?”
“That is not the story we are going to tell today, I want to know yours, you treacherous bitch,” I snapped before zapping her on the neck just below her ear.
Sofia let out a shriek as the electricity flowed through her body. Just when felt Orion fighting to pull me back trying to stop what I was doing, I did, dropping the cattle prod to my side.
“Now then, let’s try again with those questions that Koit was asking you,” I said as I gripped her jaw in my hand, holding it tightly. “Why the fuck did Vadik send you here?”
A tear rolled down her cheek, but the fury in her eyes told us that she wasn’t cracking yet. “You’ll never know, there is nothing you can do to me that will be worse than him sending me away.”
I grunted. “I doubt that, but I do love a challenge.”
Standing up I walked over to the tool bench and set the prod aside before I grabbed a blow torch and knife.
Looking over my shoulder I nodded to Tav who knew my methods well enough to know what I needed.
Dragging over a metal chair, he grabbed Sofia by the throat and plopped her in it before he secured the shackles attached to the chair itself.
Then he grabbed her foot and yanked off her shoe before peeling off her sock showing me the perfectly pink skin on the bottom of her foot.
Lighting the blow torch, I started to heat up the knife and wandered over to Sofia and Tav.
I locked eyes with her as the blade grew cherry red and started to spark a bit with the old blood and flesh getting burnt off.
Both of us watched as she gulped, figuring out what I was about to do— to her credit she didn’t fight back until the flat of the blade touched her heel.
Screams filled the cell, along with the smell of burnt flesh, which was never pleasant, but extremely effective in getting answers fast.
“You can scream all you want, but this is just the beginning of what we have planned for you. If you want this to be over swiftly all you have to do is give us the answers to what we want to know,” Tav explained as he kept a fierce grip on her ankle.
“Why were you sent here? How many men do you have here on the island? Where did Vadik take Viv?”
I could feel the thrill of the hunt pleased with Tav and how he was becoming even more of an equal to us in these matters. He never lost sight of what was important and the area I struggled with in the blood lust.
“No, no, I can’t tell you. He is a new god reborn.” Sofia babbled as I heated the blade up again. “His ancestors were chosen by the gods, her mate touched by them blessing our race with magic that is now lost to us, but it is reborn in him.”
Cocking my head to the side I paused, Orion frowned at her words. “What magic does he have?”
“The power to take from others and to make himself stronger— but that bitch is his weakness. I’ve seen it, he can’t stop obsessing about her, he claims that she will bring the magic back into the world. She will bring balance... he takes and she gives.”
“When you say he takes power what do you mean?” Tav pressed.
Sofia clamped her mouth shut and glared at us, so I brought the rosy blade to her foot once again.
I reveled in her screams as I worked to pry the information out of her that we needed.
When I noticed she was on the verge of passing out Orion took control and pulled me back reminding me that damaging her too much too fast would make this take longer.
Sofia panted as Tav set down her foot and moved to the second removing her shoe and sock.
We didn’t have much space left on the other foot and we were only getting started.
