Yes, if you listen closely, you can hear women weep around the world
as it is announced that Captain Aiden Anders has officially tied the
knot.
A year after the pair were introduced, Aiden Anders and close friend to the Spears team, Lyndsey Stone, have married in Vegas. The pair have supposedly had a whirlwind romance, and despite the team captain initially wanting to keep his privacy, have now decided to share their nuptials to the world.
Their elopement was attended by friends of the pair and fellow players. While inside sources claim they didn’t plan to marry, once they touched down in Vegas they knew it was the right time.
Lyndsey Stone was apparently introduced to the Spears captain when ex defenceman Liam Ruinsky made his romance public with his fiancée, Ellis Ainsley.
Lyndsey, previously spotted with Ellis on a number of outings, appears to be a close friend of Miss Ainsley, and is even reported to be the godmother of Liam and Ellis’ young daughter.
She grew up in Blue Ridge, Seattle and is no stranger to ice hockey – with a brother who played himself.
The Seattle Spears PR manager, Cassie Fitzgerald, released the following statement this morning to ESPN:
“Aiden and Lyndsey are a very happy couple. Everyone here at the Spears family are overjoyed about the news of their marriage. We wish them a long and happy life together and are excited to see what Aiden will bring to the ice as a happily married man. Congratulations to the newlyweds.”
