Chapter 14
AREK
Kole Whitaker is fucking obnoxious. Over the next few days, I keep Kylen in my presence every minute that he’s not in class. Which is something that pisses Kole off. She has some twisted idea that I’m controlling him. Manipulating him. Maybe even blackmailing him.
I’ve been mindful not to threaten her. She and Kylen are close. Kylen loves her, and I respect their twin bond. I would never allow someone to get between me and Orev or our sisters. I would bury them.
Still, as she whisper-yells at me while we’re walking away from Kylen’s class, I’m about ready to shove her out one of the second-floor windows of the frat house.
I haven’t confirmed or denied my involvement in Harold’s accident, though she’s brought it up several times. I don’t confirm or deny that it was me at Hush Anonymous fucking her brother and leaving him covered in my marks. If Kylen didn’t tell her, then I sure as hell won’t.
She about lost her shit when she saw us leaving the clinic the morning she caught Kylen riding my dick. I was pretty confident I’d locked the bathroom door, but I vaguely recalled one of us getting up to pee in the night. That’s probably when the door was unlocked.
Not that it matters. She’d have realized later that morning that the ruse was over. My days of stalking him in silence were finished. Now he’s mine, and I’m keeping him. The only thing that would have been different was that she might not have seen him riding my cock had the door still been locked.
Though I imagine, like me, she’d have broken in and witnessed it anyway.
Standing outside the building where she has class, I turn on her. My sudden movement startles Kole, and she takes a step back, rant cutting off before she realizes what she did and glares death at me.
“I’m not going to stop seeing him,” I tell her. “It’s going to be a far more enjoyable school year for you if you get over it.”
“I don’t want you—”
“Unfortunately for you, I don’t give a fuck what you want or don’t want, Kole. Kylen is an adult. You are making him unhappy. Not me.”
She looks like I just slapped her. If I weren’t so annoyed, I’d have taken pleasure in that.
Leaning in a little closer, I lower my voice.
“You’re right to be concerned for Kylen, and I respect how protective you are.
I feel the same way about my siblings. That doesn’t change the fact that I’m not going anywhere and I won’t give him up, no matter how big a pain in the ass you are.
All that’s going to happen in this situation is you’re going to cause turmoil between you and your twin. Is that what you want?”
Kole Whitaker hates me. I can see it blazing hotly in her eyes. Hate is something I recognize easily enough. I shouldn’t take pride in that, but when you struggle to read emotional cues in those around you, recognizing any of them is something to celebrate.
“I’m not going to let you hurt him,” she hisses like a viper.
“I’m far more likely to hurt you than him,” I answer.
Kole’s eyes narrow.
“I’ve told you over and over again. My answer isn’t changing. I won’t hurt Kylen. I’ll hurt nearly anyone else, especially if they try to get between us, but I will never hurt him. You badgering me only upsets him more.”
“You can’t convince me you’re going to be good for him!” She crosses her arms over her chest, jutting one of her hips out.
Because I’m tired of this constant back and forth, I don’t bother sugarcoating the truth. I lie easily enough, but I won’t lie to Kylen or Kole. Not about this.
“I’m going to be the biggest red flag you’ll ever meet in person,” I agree, shrugging. “I’m a diagnosed psychopath, something your subconscious has known all along.”
Kole’s eyes widen a little, and I don’t miss her sharp inhale.
“I could get into nuances about what that means regarding relationships, but I’m not going to because I’m not in a relationship with you, and therefore, it’s not your business.
I’m not good for people in general. I’m not always a stable person—especially when I’m being harassed.
I have a short fuse and an even shorter control of my penchant for violence.
” I lean in closer so I’m right in her face.
“So hear me when I say this—I. Will. Not. Let. Kylen. Go. He’s mine, Kole.
Am I clear? I will do whatever the fuck I need to keep him, and not even you will take him from me. ”
I didn’t gain her respect by telling her the truth. However, I think she experienced a little sliver of fear, something Kole isn’t prone to.
“I won’t hurt him,” I repeat. “He’s the very last person in this world that I’d hurt. He’s safe with me because I will hurt anyone else who would cause him harm or discomfort. I will protect him from the world, including from toxic siblings.”
Without waiting for her response, I walk away. I’ve had enough of Kole this morning. I’m sure it won’t be the last time I hear her voice today, but it’s the last time I’m going to hear it over the next couple hours.
I don’t have class this morning, so I check in on my cousins because I’m bored.
Then I crack open some more cock molds. Hmm.
I should check in with Nolan to see if he’s convinced River to let me mold his dick.
A grin climbs my face as I imagine Kylen sitting in the room with us while I mold River’s dick.
He’ll be such a pretty shade of red the entire time.
Which means I’ll be hard the entire time. And that means I’ll fuck Kylen for hours after we’re finished with River’s mold. Seems like a win all around.
Perhaps luck is on my side because I don’t see Kole for the rest of the day.
She isn’t waiting at the building where Kylen’s class is when I arrive at the time his lecture lets out.
He doesn’t look at me in a way that I might suspect that Kole repeated our entire conversation.
His smile for me is shy, accompanied by his constant blush.
A blush that deepens when I kiss him.
He doesn’t have another class today, so we enjoy lunch at the football field, watching a handful of guys do laps around the field while we eat sandwiches I made at the frat house.
We haven’t talked a whole lot. Nothing serious. Including nothing about my stalking him or refusing to wear condoms. The most serious conversations I’ve had have been with Kole.
So I’m not the least bit surprised when Kylen says, “Why don’t you like condoms?”
“I like condoms just fine. You’re the only person I haven’t worn a condom with.”
He looks at me, sandwich freezing right in front of his face at my words. “Why me?”
“Because you’re mine. I’m keeping you for the rest of our lives. Therefore, we don’t need to wear condoms.”
His cheeks heat, and my dick jumps in my pants. I don’t think he truly understands how much I love his pretty blush.
“I—why?” he asks, and there’s something in his tone that makes me pause to study him.
I’m confident that his sister hasn’t told him I’m a psycho. I’m sure that he doesn’t know. He, like everyone else, knows on a subconscious level that I’m a dangerous man. Putting a label as to why changes things.
I hesitate to tell him, though. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t need a little more information because I need to know what he’s feeling and thinking. He needs to understand that I don’t know how to read social cues, tones, or expressions very well.
“I have an antisocial disorder,” I offer, and his eyebrows knit together.
“That means that I struggle with some basic understanding of normal human interactions.” I cup the side of his head, and he leans into my touch.
“I don’t experience emotions the same way you and the majority of people do, which means I struggle to interpret what others are feeling.
I don’t read emotions on people’s faces or in their tones well.
I’m telling you this for many reasons, but right now, it’s because there’s something in your tone that should probably be telling, but I don’t know what it is, so I’m not sure how to answer what you’re really asking if you don’t just ask the question you want the answer to. ”
Kylen stares at me for several minutes before his eyes drop to his hands and his forgotten sandwich. His cheeks remain a pretty pink, so I think that means what he wants to know might… embarrass him?
“You’re so out of my league,” he whispers. “Why—what could you possibly see in me that you want?”
I hate his words. Before answering, I take his sandwich and set it on the wrapper behind us so I can take him into my lap.
He’s straddling me, back to the field. He blushes a deeper red, probably because we’re in public.
Or maybe because he truly believes that.
Of course, he does. I don’t need to read his mind to know that this is how Kylen thinks of himself.
Cupping his face, I kiss him. It’s not rushed. Not sexy. I kiss him slowly, thoroughly, until he begins to relax in my hold. His hands flatten on my chest, and he sighs into my mouth.
“This might not be the answer you want,” I offer, “but it’s the only one I have for you.
Sometimes, you just know. One of my dads has an antisocial personality disorder, too, and the moment my other dad walked into a coffee shop, my dad knew that the man was his forever.
I can’t say I had the same reaction when we first met, although your pretty red cheeks meant you were always someone I enjoyed looking at. ”
I grin when his cheeks turn that rosy pink that I love the most, and he bows his eyes to hide it.
“Maybe this sounds like it’s all physical because of how it happened, but that’s not the case.
The moment I recognized you in the darkness, something in my chest unlocked.
It had already begun before I was inside your body.
This isn’t some weird 1900s stupid purity bullshit, but as soon as I realized that no one else has been inside your body, everything else in me clicked, and you became my entire reason for existence, Kylen. ”
“What would have happened if I weren’t a virgin? I wouldn’t have been your fated mate, then?” He meets my eyes with an eyebrow drawn up.
I smile. “No, I think you still would have been. It’s not about your virginity. Not really. That’s just something of yours that I love having. Like some barbaric animal inside me wants to bathe in your virginity and scream to the world that it’s mine.”
“Oh my god,” he mutters, covering his face with his hands. “Please don’t ever do that.”
Gently pulling his hands back down, I pinch his chin so he’s looking into my eyes again. “I don’t have a reason that will make sense. In the dark, I finally saw you clearly, and now I’m irritated that I didn’t recognize you the moment our eyes met two years ago. I’ve missed two years with you.”
I think I’ve said something he likes. His expression softens. His eyes glisten. He leans a little more fully into my touch.
“We’re going to have a lot to talk about, and we’ll probably need to talk extra because, as I said, I don’t understand facial expressions or tones or body language most of the time.
The longer we’re together, the more I’ll learn to understand you specifically.
I know my brother and sisters pretty well because we spent eighteen uninterrupted years together.
There are also some things about my disorder that might be frightening, but if there’s one thing you need to understand, it’s this: you are the number one priority in my life.
Your safety, your protection, your happiness, your pleasure.
All of it. All of you. No one comes before you, Kylen. ”
His eyes are glassy again. He blinks rapidly and swallows thickly.
“You can trust me,” I say gently. “Even if the people you love innately don’t. I’ll never hurt you in any way.”
Kylen sighs. He leans forward, pressing his forehead to mine. “I don’t think I deserve all that loyalty.”
“You’re wrong. You deserve to have had someone in your life to make you see yourself for who you truly are. I want to slap your sister for letting this much insecurity fester inside you for so long.”
He laughs quietly. We sit in silence for several minutes, his hands moving slowly over my shirt. Then he snorts, picks his head up, and looks at me with amusement. “Where do you get all these shirts?”
I look down. Today’s shirt reads ‘I’d nut in you’. Sighing in exasperation, I say, “My family has jokes.”
Kylen laughs. I love his laughter. I want to hear it every single day.
After a minute, he climbs off my lap and sits beside me, taking his sandwich in his hands again. Our attention turns to the men running around the field. We eat in silence for a while before Kylen asks, “You said you come here often?” He glances in my direction. “This is fun for you?”
Grinning, I nod in the direction of the men running by. “There are a handful who wear no dick support, so watching them run means I’m seeing their cocks bouncing all over the place. And yes, I do enjoy that.”
He laughs again, even as his cheeks pinken darkly. “Oh my god,” he mutters. “You’re such a pig.”
“Yes, but I love dicks.”
Kylen rubs his cheek as he chews his bite. Once again, his eyes flicker to mine briefly. “That’s why your business contribution to DIK is cock molds, huh?”
“Honestly, it was an untapped market. Just think about how much money the frat would be rolling in if we’d had River’s dick on sale. His videos are still one of the biggest streams of revenue from Rumor.”
“I really want to be there when you ask him to mold his dick,” he says. “Even if I want to melt into the ground when you ask.”
“Introduce me, and we can make that happen.”
His flushed grin remains on his face. “I will. I’m not sure when the next time they’ll be down this way will be, but I’ll make sure you meet him.”
“Good.”
Kylen glances at me and then drops his eyes into his lap. My cock chubs dramatically at the way his cheeks turn bright red before he asks, “Do you… bottom?”
I grin and nod. “I love being fucked. Yes. I’ll bottom for you, little kit.”
I could get drunk on how this man blushes.
