Chapter Eight – Prepare the Puss!
“Shon, you looked amazing!” Tay clapped for me when I entered Cadence’s house. “I mean, my girl was on national television working her ass off and barely broke a sweat. I’ve never been so proud of you!”
Once again, she’d changed the interior. The last time I was there, she had a desert-chic interior with lots of clean lines, reds, and tans.
It was so bright, I felt like I might mess something up.
But now, as I walked through the entry hall, there was an urban jungle theme, with lots of vines and deep greens and browns.
In the front room, on the sides of bucket seats, were the prettiest flowers I’d seen in a long time.
They had broad leaves with pink veining surrounding a bright lilac and pink petal head.
It had to be something she’d created with her gifts.
“Never?” I sucked my teeth. “Surely I’ve done more impressive things.”
“Okay, well, maybe when you got your degree and opened your business, and when you kicked that guy in the balls…ther than that, never!” She laughed. “You must feel amazing. Tell the truth!”
“She’s right, Shon.” Tayvion stood from the plush green couch. “You looked good. I recorded it and replayed it at least three times. I’m going to adopt a few of those moves into my routine.”
“Let me know if you need any help with your form or modifications to the movements.”
“No!” Tay waved her hands. “None of that gym talk. That guy you put me with is kicking my ass! Literally. Buns were so sore, I could barely sit down the other day. I had to sleep on my side.”
“Okay, Miss Sore Ass, what would you like to discuss?” I laughed at her and touched one of the plants next to me. The leaves were cool and left my fingers with a soft chill. “Caddy, I really like the new theme here. It’s so welcoming.”
“Not you talking about interior design. You know she changes this up with every mood swing,” Tayvion called me out. “Last we talked, there was a woman you were interested in and trying to deny yourself. Let’s just jump right back onto that.”
“Oh, God, no.” I waved her off. “Cadence, how was your trip?”
“It was fine. I fucked three guys and got a new tattoo. Now, back to you. You make a move yet?”
“Three guys?” I reacted with a theatrical gasp. “That sounds like a story that needs to be told. Please continue.”
“Don’t even try it. That’s light work for her, and you know it. You know how we fae get down!” Tay swung her hips. “But Caddy, we’ll need all the dirty details later.”
“Of course.” Caddy winked at her. “But this takes priority, agreed?”
“Agreed.” Tayvion nodded, and then they both turned on me like flies to fresh shit.
“Well, it turns out, I was wrong about her, and so were you.” I pointed at both of them. “So, you both owe me an apology.”
“Not the accusation!” Tayvion’s arms shot up as she pointed at us.
“Wrong? I’m never wrong!” Cadence pointed back, making us look like a web-slinging meme. “How dare you suggest such a thing about me!”
“There’s a first time for everything.” I shook my head and dropped my arms. “She only wants to invest in—”
“Invest in your panties!” Tayvion blurted out before I could finish my sentence.
“You need help.”
“And you need to get off. Let her handle it for you!”
“Anyway,” I turned my back to Tayvion and faced Cadence, “she said she knew about me before we met and was just checking me out. She wants to help me take things to the next level.”
“Yeah, next level alright,” Tayvion giggled behind me.
“Shut up. It’s not like that.” I rolled my eyes. “And how are you trying to turn that into innuendo? You sound ridiculous.”
“So, she’s a business investor?” Cadence asked. “Maybe I can look into her. Having an investor could be fantastic for you. I mean, you wouldn’t let me do it, but whatever. Tell me her company, and I’ll do some digging for you.”
“She gave me her card. I’ll send you a picture of it later. I didn’t really investigate her or the company yet.”
“Of course you didn’t.” Cadence sucked her teeth at me. “But that’s why you have me!”
“And I am so grateful for you, trust me.”
“She’s probably one of those bored housewives.
” Tayvion spun the story in her head. It never took her long to start on her theories.
“I bet she has a husband who is a billionaire, and all this is her just living out her fantasies with his money. She’s some repressed housewife just looking to break free and be more than a trophy for him. ”
“Why do you assume it’s a man’s coin?” I asked with a plastered mask of disgust. “Why can’t it just be her own money she’s playing with?”
“Or maybe she has a hot wife who’s neglecting her,” Cadence added to the building narrative. “Oh, the scandal!”
“I don’t know.” Tayvion shrugged. “But I do like that theory. I mean, that could be why she’s into you. And I don’t care what you say, that woman is into you!”
“If you say so.” I shrugged.
“Maybe it's all those billionaire romances I’ve been reading lately, but I always imagine that’s how it turns out for those women.
I mean, the story of them getting together is so good, but we never see much after that, right?
How much you want to bet, he eventually gets busy with work, leaving her alone most of the time?
After that, she gets bored, and to stop her from leaving him, he just lets her use his money to go around the world, getting into different things and likely cheating on him. ”
“Grim.” I smirked. “Why do you assume she will cheat?”
“Most of these books are about women who are so damn wound up! They meet their handsome billionaire, and he takes all that pressure off by putting it on her! If he gets busy and she gets bored, she’s going to go looking for what he gave her to begin with.”
“It’s a realistic turn of events.” Cadence nodded.
“You’re reading those books for the realism?” I shrugged. “I thought the point was to get away from reality.”
“While I’m in the story, I’m all for the fantasy of a rich man sweeping me away, but as soon as I hit the end, I am flooded by the harsh realities of the world we live in.
” Tayvion shook her head. “And that reality has me looking at the outcome in a very different light, one that says he is going to go back to building empires and leave her to flick her own bean. I can’t have that! ”
“Right.” I laughed as I shook my finger in the air. “Bean flicking is bad!”
“Her ass is so damn depressing!” Cadence pointed at Tayvion. “Here I am, imagining they go on for a lifetime of caviar and cunnilingus, and she got the girl burning out vibrators!”
“Enough about fiction—are you going to entertain this idea?” Tayvion asked.
“Yeah, I think so. I mean, a private investor could be good. I should at least hear her out, right?”
“Uh huh, hear her out.” Tayvion cackled. “Hear her out, then feel her out, then…eat her out!”
“You really need help!” I fussed. “I can already tell where your head is even before the words come falling out of your big mouth.”
“Yeah, and her head's gonna end up between your legs.” She plopped down on the couch, leaned back, popped her legs up in the air, and then looked down between her thighs at both our shocked faces.
“Y'all ever realize your legs don’t swing as high as they used to? I mean, in this position, a man used to be able to put my knees to my ears, but if they tried that shit now, I would have a total panic attack!”
“Shut up!” I laughed at her. “And if you did the stretches I recommended, that wouldn’t be a problem.”
“Seriously, Shon, I think this could be good for you, but be careful.” Cadence turned on that mothering nature as she looked away from Tayvion’s spread legs.
“On the surface, it looks good, but we have already established she is magical. She might… No, she definitely has something else up her sleeve.”
“Yeah. I will. And of course. I’ll keep y’all in the loop.” I changed my focus and snapped at Tayvion. “You can put your legs down now, fool.”
“You damn well better give us all the details!” She dropped her legs, rocking up to a sitting position, and then grabbed her chest. “Child, that damn near took me out, holding my legs up like that.”
“Just make sure you don’t miss any of your sessions at the gym. Evan is really nice, but I know he will put you through the paces. You need someone with a firm hand.”
“About that. I mean, that little rule of yours about getting busy with the clients. Is that just for you?” Tayvion stood. “Because I gotta say, I wanted to climb him the moment we met, but I figured I would keep it cute until after I talked to you about it.”
“No! Down, girl!” I moved over and smacked her ass. “I don’t need you chasing off one of the best guys I’ve had on my team to date.”
“That’s no way to get me to behave.” Tayvion wiggled her ass at me. “Now, do it again, Muscle Mommy.”
“You’ve activated her!” Cadence laughed.
“Why do you think I would chase him off? What about me says he wouldn’t want to hang around longer, just to have more time with me?” Tayvion rubbed the spot on her ass I hit. “You know, the tighter this ass gets, the harder it will be for him to resist me.”
“Let’s just avoid the risk of finding out, please.” The pout on her face had me ready to laugh, but I kept a straight face. “Keep it in your pants!”
“Shon, let it out of yours!” she bit back. “Probably got cobwebs down there by now.”
“I need a drink.” I sighed. “Why do I always need a drink when I’m around you? This might be something I need to bring up to my therapist, to be honest.”
“All your therapist is going to say is that you just have to loosen up, and being around us makes that happen. Now, drink up, and we can go over a game plan for getting you ready for your investor.”
“You think I need to prepare a proposal or something?” I pulled my phone from my pocket and immediately opened my cloud. “I think I still have a few drafts from when I went for the bank loan.”
“I think you need to prepare that pussy!” Tayvion smacked the phone from my hand. “Ain’t nobody talking about presentations. When was the last time you shaved?”
“Yeah, let me get you a drink.” Cadence laughed and walked off, leaving me with Tayvion, who was only just beginning.
