18. Draelon ‘Draco’ Sims
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
DRAELON ‘DRACO’ SIMS
“ D raco, where are you?! You said you’d be here an hour ago!” one of my pieces shouted in my ear over the phone.
I pulled the phone from my ear to see if I recognized the number.
“Whoa! Baby, chill, whatever yo’ name is.”
“Are you serious right now, Draco?! It’s me, Shanice! We literally just talked two hours ago!”
“Shorty, do you know how many females I done talked to between that time? You ain’t the only one who wants this dick,” I kept it real with her.
“Well, I’m the only one who you were planning on fucking today, I hope!”
“Honestly, I’ve been hitting up all y’all asses to weigh out my options and see what y’all on. I’ve decided that the one who doesn’t get on the phone nagging, bitching, or begging will be the grand prize winner of this dick today. The way I look at it, the person who gives me the most peace deserves the most dick, and with that attitude you got, sadly, that female won’t be you.”
“Draco, I’m sorry!”
“Nah, baby, you just talked yourself out of some good dick. You really gon’ miss out. I got a lil’ lean in my system, and you know what time it is when I’m on that shit.”
“Draco!” she desperately begged.
“Better luck next week. Alicia, right?” I purposely called her the wrong name.
“Fuck you, Draco! You ain’t the only nigga with a dick!” she shouted, then hung up.
I was a petty ass nigga, so I called her back, and of course, she answered on the first ring.
“What, Draco?”
“I may not be the only nigga with a dick, but based on the way you was just practically begging for the dick, mine is the best you’ve ever had or may ever encounter in yo’ life. Now, you can get the fuck off of my line, Ms. No Contact,” I said, then hung up in her ear.
My nigga, Graham, who I had as my personal chauffeur for the day, chuckled while shaking his head.
I had my own whips, but there were days when I chose to ride as a passenger instead. That change of perspective allowed me to take in the sights of the hustle and bustle in the streets from a different vantage point.
“Bro, these unsaved number hoes be having the most attitude, my guy,” I told Graham.
“Nigga, tell me about it. But aye, you know that chick Deidra I told you I was fuckin’ with?”
“Yeah, the one that stays on Ash Street, right?” I asked while rolling up a blunt.
“Yeah, her ass. Bro, I had to let that bitch go!”
“Nah, now! Why?”
“Nigga, one day, we chilled like the perfect couple, only for her to tell me after we don’ been together all day that she got a nigga… one who has been in the crazy house and shit. Like, bitch, first of all, how can you even get a good night’s rest with a nigga who don’ been in a fuckin’ psych ward? Multiple times at that. Second, why the fuck you got me riding yo’ ass around all day, and you know you got a crazy nigga that will kill behind yo’ ass. Hell, am I the sacrifice or some shit?”
I laughed. “That shit crazy, dawg. I hope you let her ass go after that shit.”
“I should’ve, but she had some good pussy, damn good pussy, so I decided to keep her around. That shit happened like two weeks ago, but how ’bout today that broad come calling me talking about she needs some money for one of her bills because she was broke.”
“What did you tell her?” I was anxious to know. Graham wasn’t as nonchalant and blunt as me when it came to females, but I knew certain shit he wasn’t going for.
“I told her to get a better job, and she wouldn’t be broke. Then, I blocked her ass!”
I chuckled. “And you say I’m hell.”
“Shid, nigga, yo’ ass is way worse than me, so I can only imagine what yo’ response would’ve been. But what the fuck I look like giving her money on a bill when she got a nigga living with her? Hell, it’s like I would’ve been paying to get the pussy while that crazy ass nigga got unlimited access to it at no cost! Fuck outta here!”
“Bro, you know they say a real man will pay a woman’s bills while another nigga is living with her,” I joked to hear his response.
“Shiddddddddddddd, not this nigga!” he referred to himself.
I laughed. “On some real shit, I’d do some shit like that just to show a bitch that her nigga ain’t shit, so she can come over to the winning team. I wouldn’t do that for any female, though. She gotta be the one.”
Graham cocked his head. “The one ? Nigga, you got some’ to tell me?”
“Shid, I’m saying, having all these hoes and dealing with all their attitudes is becoming draining as fuck. I mean, yeah, feeling different pussy and getting different types of head is every nigga’s dream, at least at one point in our lives, but I feel like one of these bitches gon’ try, keyword, try to kill me sooner or later if I don’t chill. I ain’t saying I’m about to let all of their asses go by tomorrow, but come the new year, I’ma try to be a changed man. Well, better because some shit is just in me. But today just ain’t that day, my guy!” I laughed.
We bumped fists in agreement.
“Speaking of, I need to grab some rubbers. Stop at this store right here.”
When I entered the store, I was headed to the counter, but a beauty sitting in a corner, scrolling through her phone, oblivious to me being there, stole my attention. It was Cali. I couldn’t lie; I thought about her pretty ass a lot those days after seeing her. Damn sure, more than I ever had any other female. Cali had me so stuck just from that one encounter that the bitch I fucked that day, I envisioned it being her. I had actually come to the store a few days after to get better acquainted, but according to her coworker, she had already left for the day.
I put my charm on and swaggered over in her direction.
“And so, we meet again,” I said once near.
“I’m not interested, but I salute your choice,” she responded, never taking her eyes off her phone to even see who was talking to her.
“Damn, can you at least look a nigga in his face when you’re turning him down?”
I was getting a little hot behind that. I was usually the nigga who did the ignoring, not the other way around.
Cali briefly took her eyes away from her phone, then sat up straight to give me her attention.
I smirked. “That’s more like it, baby.”
“You have the floor… Draco, is it?”
“It’s Daddy Draco to you, but yeah. And stop trying to act like you done forgot a nigga’s name when I’ve probably been on yo’ mind since I left here the other day. Now… since I don’t have time to go through that ‘getting to know you’ stage, I’ma cut right to it and ask the important questions. First, do you squirt? Can you cook? Do you clean? Can you suck a mean dick? If you have kids, is yo’ baby daddy dead? Lastly, is that my pussy or not?”
“Yes, a lot . Yes, very well. Yes, daily. Yes, I get real nasty on a dick, but you’ll never find out. The hell if I know about my baby daddy, and not !” She answered all my questions, then went back to looking at her phone.
I took a seat without her permission and decided to take a different approach.
“Aight, so maybe I came off a lil’ strong, but you know I got a lil’ crush on you, right?”
“I have a boyfriend,” she responded with her face still glued to her phone.
I wanted to snatch that muthafucka out of her hand, but I knew a better way to get her attention.
“If you got a boyfriend, why your hair not done?” That did the trick.
Cali’s hair didn’t look bad. She had it up in one of those popular messy buns that a lot of females wear these days. Cali had a texture of good hair, and she had her baby hair out, making her bun appear neater than most females.
“Excuse me?! Nigga, if you must know, I do hair, and I’ll be doing mine when I get off! And while you’re talking, yours could use a little of Cali’s touch.”
“Chill, beautiful. I was just fuckin’ with you, but I see that got your attention. But yeah, I do need to get my shit retwisted. You do hair for real?”
Her expression softened. “Yes, I do.”
“Shid, you got a website, or somewhere I can book?”
“Actually, I do.”
Cali smiled, then went inside her purse. She then reached over and handed me a few of her business cards.
“Cali’s Braids, Locs, Lashes hell nah! I’m just waiting for the moment he does slip up and fuck up, and I see it with my own two eyes. It’s cool when he does it, but I’ma need a lawyer when I do it. Trust me.”
“Well, just make sure when you do it that it’s with me.”
Cali chuckled. “You know, I have to say, despite your cockiness, you have really nice skin… almost like a baby’s face. I’m guessing that’s what attracts the ladies.”
I knew she wasn’t just saying that to make conversation. I got that compliment a lot, and I appreciated it coming from her.
“Yeah, it’s definitely my good looks, baby.” I licked my lips. “However, this dick is what has their asses going crazy and not wanting to leave a nigga alone. But is my ‘baby face’ what attracted you to me?”
She chuckled. “Here you go with this again. Who said I was attracted to you?”
“You are. I can see it all in your eyes, which are very pretty, by the way.”
I wasn’t just flirting when I said that. Cali really did have some pretty ass eyes. They were like a blend of gray and brown.
“You know, our kids could have smooth skin and pretty eyes. The perfect concoction for a beautiful baby girl,” I hinted. “But what’s the point of you having eyes at all if you can’t see that I’m the one for you?”
“And what’s the point of you still sitting here when I just told you that I have a boyfriend?”
“I’m sure you’ve picked up on it by now that I don’t do too well with instructions, beautiful. Secondly, you just told me you don’t love the nigga, so that’s fair game for me. Besides, that ol’ pussy ass nigga is probably telling another female right now that he’s single.”
“Knowing my nigga, he probably is, but that’s neither here nor there. But, thinking about it, you don’t know shit about me or my relationship to be this judgmental.”
“I know a lil’ bit about you. I know yo’ nigga ain’t shit! You told me that! I know where you work and that you do hair… at yo’ house!” I held up the logo card. “So, that’s a start. I probably even know yo’ nigga, but he’s irrelevant right now. I’m trying to get to know you a lil’ better, but you coming at a nigga all strong and shit. Based on our encounter the other day, I wouldn’t have taken you to be the stuck-up and mean type.”
“I’m not mean, and I’m definitely not stuck-up. I’m just not the kind of female who is going to allow you to talk to me any kind of way. Besides, I’ve had a rough morning.”
I brought my chair closer to hers. “Who made you mad, baby? That nigga? Just give me a name, say the word, and I’ll make that nigga disappear forever .”
She chuckled. “You’ll really kill a man over a woman you barely know?”
“Hell yeah!”
Cali’s smile dropped a little at the realization of how serious I was.
“You’re serious, aren’t you?”
I lifted my shirt, revealing my gun. “They don’t call me Draco for nothing. But you ain’t just any woman. You’re someone I’m trying to get to know, so if a fuck nigga is standing in my way of getting you, then I’ma do what I gotta do by any means necessary to get that nigga out of the picture… for good. ”
“Well, he’s not the cause of my attitude… at least not today.”
“So, he do be fucking up? Okay, say less.” I nodded my head, storing that valuable information in my mind.
Cali yawned. “Don’t all y’all niggas? I mean, aside from dick and lies, what the fuck else do y’all have to offer?”
“There’s the fuck niggas you talk to, and then there’s me, love. Don’t compare me to none of those niggas. I’m in my own league. Besides, I’m single, so I don’t have a commitment to any female. I can simply do what the fuck I want, when I want, and with who I want. But you must be tired. You yawning and shit.”
“I am. I’m in desperate need of a nap or a full eight hours of sleep. But sleep these days for me is like sex; I don’t get either one as much as I want.”
“Well, I can help with the sex part. Actually, the sleep, too, because one dose of this dick is bound to give you a good night’s rest.”
Cali playfully rolled her eyes.
“You got a kid, don’t you?” I asked.
“And you assume that how?”
“Behind every baddie is a car seat.”
“Try two ,” she countered with a smile like hearing that was going to make me back away.
“Two, huh?”
“Yep… twins. A precious little girl and a busy little boy.”
“That’s what’s up. Yo’ nigga is their daddy, and he ain’t out here trying to bring in no bread?”
“Hell no! That nigga is not my kids’ daddy!”
“Damn! You must really hate that nigga? Aside from you saying hell nah the way you did, I ain’t heard you say one positive thing about his ass.”
“The only positive thing about him being in my life is his dick. It calms me. So, if you wanna know why I’m really still with him, that’s why. I tolerate him for my sexual needs, but you know, you ask a lot of questions for someone I just really met.”
“I need to know these things so when we get serious, I’ll already be prepared.”
“So, me being a struggling single mom with two-year-old twins wouldn’t bother you? A single man who has no kids. Well, I’m assuming you’re single with no kids.”
“I am,” I confirmed. “But hell nah! I’m addicted to single moms! As soon as I hear, ‘my bd don’t,’ I put my cape on!”
She laughed. “Why do I not believe that last part?”
“’Cause the shit definitely ain’t true. I usually run the other way when a chick tells me she has a kid. Nah, but for real, though. I can be that superhero for you.” I gave her thigh a gentle squeeze as I stared into her eyes.
A timer on her phone went off.
“Well, would you look at the time?” she said, easing my hand off her thigh. “My entire break has been very entertaining, thanks to you and another irrelevant bitch from earlier.”
“Who is the irrelevant bitch, baby? Is that who made you mad? I’ll find her and have my homegirls beat her ass. Anybody who makes you have a bad day gotta see me.”
“Oh, when it comes to her or any other female, I can definitely hold my own weight. Trust me. But who’s to say you haven’t contributed to me having a rough day?”
“If I did, I’m sorry. My goal as your future nigga is to make sure you’re happy every day from here on out.”
Cali chuckled, then stood. “Draco, nobody is happy every day, at least not the people on this earth. Maybe those in heaven get that wonderful experience.”
“The way I’m out here living, I probably won’t get that wonderful experience.”
“Repent, and maybe you will,” Cali advised.
“Look, I know you gotta get back to work, but answer this. What will a nigga like me have to do to win you over? I don’t want to have to kidnap you or any of yo’ folks, grandparents included, but I will if that’s what it will take. Well, I won’t snatch yo’ grandparents, but I will take their walkers, dentures, bibles, wigs, or anything else of importance to show you that I’m serious about us.”
Cali smirked as if what I said amused and impressed her.
“A man who would go to the extreme to get what he wants… I like. But to answer your question, you definitely gotta be doing better than my current nigga, financial wise that is, which…” she gave me a once over, “it seems like you are, but you can’t be stingy with the shit like him.”
“Listen, beautiful, whether we’re official or not, if you want it, you can have it by all means.”
“Give me a thousand dollars,” she replied with a playful challenge in her voice. I knew she did that to test me.
I let out a light chuckle, amused by her boldness, and then reached for my phone to open my CashApp.
To clarify, I had money—lots of it. Most of my bread was stored in my bank account, which my cousin Savvy had strongly advised me to set up. I lived a wild life in the streets, indulging in the finest things money could buy. However, I wasn’t the type of nigga who flaunted my wealth. You wouldn't find me taking flashy pictures with wads of cash or walking around with a pocket full of bills for show. I used to engage in that silly ass behavior, along with posing with guns for social media, until Savvy got on my ass. He gave me a stern talking-to, sharing valuable insight about how my actions would make me a target—not just for people looking to rob me but also for the attention of law enforcement. After that conversation, I adjusted my approach and typically kept just enough cash on me for whatever I had planned for the day, which, on that occasion, amounted to only a couple hundred dollars.
“What’s your Cash App?” I asked, wanting to get straight to the point without any more hesitation.
“You’re serious?” she asked, her eyebrows raised in surprise.
“Yeah, dead serious. Just tell me your Cash App, girl,” I insisted, ready to show her that I was a nigga who stood on business.
“Although I just said that to see your reaction, Draco, one thing you’ll learn about me is I’m not one of these females who will say, “Oh, you don’t have to do that!” she exaggerated. “If you offer me something, I’ma let you do yo’ thang and thank you afterward.”
“Good thing I didn’t offer; you asked, but I still would have given it to you off the rip.”
“Touche.”
“Still waiting for your Cash App,” I reminded her with my phone on the screen to input her username.
Cali recited it, then I typed it in quickly, and within moments, her phone chimed, signaling the successful transfer.
“Two thousand dollars? I only asked for one thousand. I mean, I’m not complaining. I just want to make sure you didn’t make a mistake.”
I stepped to her, enclosing the space between us, and said, “No mistake, beautiful. See, one thing you’ll learn about me is, I’ma hard-headed ass nigga.” I brushed my hard dick against Cali’s thigh, and her eyes widened at the size. Wearing a smirk, I continued, “Actually, that shouldn’t be a shocker to you by now, though. Also, with me, you’ll always get more than you ask for.”
Cali took a step back, creating some much-needed distance between us.
“Hmph,” she said thoughtfully as if she was impressed.
“So, is that all it will take to make you mine?”
“Being able to provide financially is most certainly number one on the list, but that alone won’t make me leave my nigga for you.”
“So, what else?”
Cali stepped to me that time and whispered in a sexy tone, “ I f I was to give you this pussy while I’m in a relationship, your job as the side nigga would definitely be to outdo my nigga in the bedroom,” then she drew back.
I chuckled cockily with my arms folded in front of me with a shrug.
“That’s lightweight work, baby. I’m more than confident that I can excel in that department. Shid, we can do a test run today if you want to, with that nigga watching! So, are those the only requirements?”
“Last, but most certainly not least, treat me like God himself sent you to me. That’s how you’ll win my love, not me, not my pussy, but my heart, and that’s something my boyfriend doesn’t have, at least not anymore. Now, I really have to get back to work. It was nice meeting you for the second time, Draco.”
“Oh, we will see each other a third, fourth, fifth, and sixth time. Hell, the times go on! Believe that. I’ma go, but just know whenever your pussy gets wet for no reason, it means I’m nearby. Have a good day, my future.”
“Bye, Draco.” She smiled, shaking her head.
Yeah, I gotta stamp that ass, I thought as I watched her walk away with my eyes glued to her fat ass. I was quickly brought back to the moment after hearing my nigga Graham yelling in my ear.
“Draco!”
I spun around with annoyance in my tone and expression.
“Yeah, nigga!”
I was upset like he had woken me out of a good dream that I knew I couldn’t return to.
“Damn, nigga, it’s taking you this long to get some rubbers?”
I raised my finger in a gesture that called for silence, waving it fast to urge him to shut the fuck up. I peered over at Cali, who obviously had been listening to the conversation due to the shaking of her head, a clear sign of her disapproval.
Graham’s eyes followed mine.
“Oh, shit!”
“Yeah, oh, shit, nigga! Man, let’s go!”
If Graham wasn’t my nigga, and I thought Cali would be off a nigga after his comment, I swear I would’ve two-pieced his ass with my gun for the shit he said. I couldn’t be mad at him, though. It wasn’t like he knew my future wifey worked there.
As we were leaving, there was something positive I wanted to leave with Cali in case she did have a quick change of heart after hearing what Graham said.
“Cali,” I called out to her, and she looked at me from behind the counter. “You gotta choose yo’ nigga like you choose yo’ spades partner. You ain’t gon’ win with just anybody on yo’ team.”
With that, I left the store, letting those words marinate in that pretty little mind of hers.
“Bro, she must be one of yo’ new pieces. Damn, she’s fine and thick as hell.”
I halted my steps so he could know I was serious.
“Graham, since I haven’t properly introduced you two, which means you don’t know her relationship or significance to me, I’ma let that remark you just said slide, but that girl you saw is my future… future wife, to put it in better terms. That’s what took me so long in there. I was trying to secure my future … with her.”
“Well, shid, that’s what’s up. Just give a nigga a heads-up next time. I was about to go in that bitch and start blasting.”
“Why didn’t you? I would have.”
“I know yo’ ass would have. I’m glad I didn’t, though. I probably would’ve scared yo’ future. ”
We laughed together.
“Yeah, you did right not to do that shit, but come on, nigga. I gotta stop by another store to get me some rubbers.”
“Why? When we’re already at one?”
“Nigga, I’m not about to disrespect my future by going back in there asking for some rubbers, and she’s the cashier.”
“Damn, you’re right.”
“And, nigga, you’re my driver, one who’s getting paid, so that makes you my employee. So why are you questioning yo’ boss?” I joked.
With his hand resting on the driver’s side door, Graham retorted, “Boss?! Nigga, get yo’ ass in the car! Talking about a damn employee! Well, this employee needs a raise!”
“You asking for a raise but won’t even open the door for your boss. That’s a nigga for you,” I said as I headed to the passenger side.
Graham and I played around like that. He knew it was all love at the end of the day. Graham was my brother from another mother. Actually, I was closer to his folks than I was to my own, and they looked at me as their bonus son. Aside from Savvy and his parents, Graham was the only other person I labeled as family or a friend, a word I didn’t categorize many in.
“What’s up, cuz?” I answered the call for Savvy.
“Aye, you on your way to the hospital? Monte is about to be discharged.”
“Oh, shit! Today is the day! I’m on the way! I’m about five minutes from the hospital.”
“Bet,” he replied, then ended the call.
“Say, Graham, change of plans. Take me to the hospital. I forgot Monte was being discharged today.”
“Say less, boss! ”
I chuckled, shaking my head.
I was still getting me some pussy that day, but that could definitely wait. It was always family first, money/business second, and pussy/bitches last. After seeing Cali, it really didn’t matter who I chose to give the dick to. The only female who was going to be on my mind was Cali anyway.
