Chapter 39
Chapter Thirty-Nine
Dragon
Five days later, Diana and I stand before a judge in the Denver City and County building, and we exchange vows.
Griffin and Bridget are with us, and when the justice of the peace asks me if I will take Diana Steel, love her and honor her, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health…it’s the easiest thing in the world to say “I do.”
We’re going back to the Western Slope.
Diana talked to her aunt, and she agreed to work with Griffin and Bridget.
Jesse and Brianna will be back from their honeymoon in a little over a month, and so will Rory and Brock. The band will be back in business.
Diana will have a house built on the Steel property where the four of us will live until Griffin and Bridget are ready to be out on their own.
As for Malcolm Osborne? So far he’s disappeared into thin air.
But I’ve got Alayna and the others on it. If he’s out there, they’ll find him.
After all, they found Griffin.
And I owe them everything for that.
Diana and I kiss after we take our vows.
“You’re my salvation, Diana,” I whisper to her.
“And you’re mine,” she says back. “I love you, Dragon.”
