Chapter 15

Chapter Fifteen

Atlas

Ipushed through the swinging door to find the break room crawling with Mothmen, their antennae twitching in my direction. Ever since word got out about my nightly visits with Kassie, they've been hovering around me with curiosity.

They pressed me for details… what females were like, what they felt like. What was I supposed to say? Soft? Warm? I couldn’t very well admit how good it felt when she dragged herself against me, how easily she coaxed my seed to spill and ruin my clothes.

I’ve learned to bring more of those after the first night.

Kassie had grown bolder, asking to do more… things. But what could I possibly tell her? In this form, the only part of me she could touch and feel as a man was my face. Everything else… she would meet nothing but fur, the beast beneath the skin.

“You’re just lucky your human form is hairy,” Lucien nudged me. “If you take off your shirt, she wouldn’t know the difference.”

I ran my hands up and down the front of my body.

We were all in the back room, the one place our disguises failed.

Spending an entire day in human form could give anyone an identity crisis, so during lunch, the Mothmen gathered here, the largest break room of the Mothman businesses, to finally breathe and just be ourselves.

The break room buzzed with Mothmen enjoying their lunch, antennae bobbing as they chewed and chatted. Then someone called across the room, "Atlas, how's it going with that human female?" and suddenly every glowing red eye in the place swiveled toward me.

Moon above, you can torture me in some of the strangest ways.

“How are her breasts?” Malcolm asked as he sipped his strawberry smoothie. “Are they as soft as they appear? I noticed that they are large. Do you use them as pillows?”

The whine building in my throat dropped deeper. A fierce possessiveness stirred in me whenever Kassie was mentioned, and I hated talking about her body. Still, I understood—everyone here was just as curious about the female form. In their place, I’d be the same.

However, I would never voice it out loud, because why would I ask a brother Mothman how their mate tastes?

It was weird.

“I prefer not to answer that.” I coughed to keep my near-growl away. “But it is nice.”

Malcolm nodded, his antennae flicked back and forth. “That was forthcoming. I apologize, but we are excited for you to have someone, er, maybe have someone. When will you show her your actual form?”

I scratched the back of my neck. The fur there had started to shed—more of a molt than anything.

Patches were missing along the sides, though I was pretty sure that was from Kassie nuzzling into me, finding her favorite spot to press her lips…

and nibble. I didn’t mind that part; that was invigorating, especially when I got to cup her ass and squeeze while she did it. Her ass was like stress balls.

But in the back, where it fell out on its own… was that stress-related?

What if she wasn’t my match?

“I don’t know when I should reveal myself.” I held half a grapefruit in my hand. My tongue uncoiled as I took a tentative lick to savor the taste. “If she is not mine, I will be utterly disappointed. Then I thought, could I make her my match? Just take her, make her mine?”

Malcolm’s antennae scratched his head. “You know, I’m not sure. That sounds more like your monster side talking. Are you sure you are all right? You always play by the rules, you even stay hidden away in your cabin. Maybe you should…”

“No!” I growled, my wings swishing behind me violently.

The entire room stilled and stared at me, and I held the grapefruit to my chest.

That was unexpected.

Lucien hurried toward me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. “Come, let’s go to the corner over here. Carry on, everyone.” He waved for everyone to continue their lunch, but I felt their red, glowing eyes on me.

“He wants to claim her even if she is not his,” I heard Malcolm whisper.

My wings shook with anger. What if Kassie were mated to him? He was not better than me; he wasn’t. I was the one who could take care of her needs, even if I only rubbed my cock along her slit.

Lucien cupped my face with both hands. “What’s wrong? You sound like you are losing it.”

I reared back, burned by Lucien’s touch. I wanted only Kassie.

“I think he wants her.” I glanced back at Malcolm, who couldn't help but stare. I lifted my chin so he could see the fangs inside my mouth and let out a snarl.

Lucien slapped the side of my face to make me turn to him, and I rubbed my cheek.

“How dare you!” I gripped him by the shirt he still wore. “I’m protecting my match! He wants her for himself!”

Lucien shook his head. “No, he doesn’t. He wants someone for himself, not your female. Atlas, what is going on?”

I breathed heavily and rummaged in the pocket of the jeans I still had on. Kassie said my ass looked like delicious cake, so I would wear them as often as I could.

I pulled out a small piece of cloth and put it up to my nose, taking a deep breath. The smell of her filled my lungs, and I felt a wave of calmness run through my bloodstream.

That’s the stuff.

Lucien stared at me and then at the black laced clothing in my hand.

“What is that?”

I held it tighter in my grasp and pulled it away from him. “Nothing for you. I’m fine.” I took in another breath of the scent.

“Moon Eclipse! Is that her underwear?!” he whispered. “Did you steal her underwear without her knowing?”

I shook my head and let out a breath. “No, she put it in my pocket last night and told me I was a good boy and she couldn’t wait to see me later today.”

Lucien squeaked, and his antennae waved around erratically.

He was jealous, very jealous.

I stepped away from him and held Kassie’s underwear up high. “You can’t have it.”

Lucien held up his hands in surrender. “I don’t want your girlfriend’s underwear, man. I’m trying to figure out what is going on because I am lost.”

I felt red glowing eyes all around me, and I stared back. With my tall form, I stood over them all. I shoved the panties back into my pocket, and I squealed loudly. “She is mine, do you understand me? No one can talk to her.”

“The fuck is going on?” One of them said from the back. “Atlas is usually quiet.”

Amos was sitting at the table. His lunchbox was open, and he was digging around to find something to eat.

“It's that magic, guys. Remember? Those witches said having that much magic cloaking him extra at night might be too much. Kassie is able to touch his face, and it would feel more human, too. It’s all too much.” Amos shook his head and pulled out an apple.

He was right. It had been several days, almost a week, since I'd had so much magic running through my body. Was I at my breaking point? I felt like everyone wanted her. The way they kept asking about her, it felt like they were trying to take her from me, or her underwear.

My wings fluttered behind me, stretching wide to show how large I was. I wanted them to see that I was stronger, more powerful, and that they shouldn’t even think about looking her way or challenging me because I would destroy them if I had to. My arms were bigger than their tiny torsos.

I’d squish their big booty asses to make their hearts explode.

“Whoa, so pretty!” A sweet voice said behind me. I knew that voice, the voice that had haunted me since the moment I heard her. Her scent followed me everywhere.

She has opened me up to a world I never would have known because of her. She saw me, came after me, and didn’t care if I was… different.

My wings dropped, and I turned to see her. This was do or die.

Was she my match? She had to be, I don’t know what sort of male I would be if she wasn’t.

As I turned, everything slowed down like in those cheesy romance films Kassie forced me to sit through. The room darkened dramatically, except for a single beam of light that somehow found her face among the crowd, illuminating her features as if she were the only person worth seeing.

She really was the light I gravitated toward.

Kassie's gaze fixed on something beyond me—a swirling darkness materializing from thin air.

A flash of light cut through the gloom, and suddenly, elongated tentacles seized her, wrapping first around her eyes, then sealing her mouth.

Within seconds, her entire form disappeared beneath coils of ashen, rope-like tendrils.

Kassie’s voice was muffled until the sickening voice of the mayor spoke. “Sleep and awaken in darkness.” His head came from above the fog of darkness, and the room cleared, showing his form.

Kassie’s body went still.

I felt the tiny fangs in my mouth lengthen, the claws on my fingers grew. My wings spread, and my body grew rigid.

Mine.

“Calm yourself, Atlas. I have saved you from what you are not ready for. Your reveal.”

I screamed loudly. The entire room ducked and covered their ear holes. Even the Slenderman took a step back, taking my female, who was nothing but a rag doll in strings.

The mayor shook his head. “Be still and shut that mouth!” he snapped. “Elowyn, get in here!”

My heart pounded, my vision tunneled to where Kassie was being trapped under the mayor’s force.

“Let her go,” I snarled.

Elowyn, the witch who had been helping me with the many magic spells placed on me, stepped closer, her eyes wide with surprise. "Atlas, what's happening?" she asked, looking from me to the mayor and then to Kassie, bound, lying limp in the Slenderman’s arms.

"He's losing control," the mayor said, his voice echoing unnaturally in the room. "The magic is too much for him. You need to stabilize him, get rid of the layers of magic, or he'll be lost to the monster within. Who knows what he will do to her, to the rest of us?"

Elowyn nodded, her face pale but determined. She chanted, her hands weaving a complex pattern in the air. A soft glow emanated from her fingers, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

I felt a tug at my core, the magic within me responding to her spell.

It was like a cool balm spreading through my veins, soothing the raging inferno that had calmed only slightly.

My form fluctuated, the human facade flickering like a dying light bulb, revealing glimpses of the moth-like creature beneath.

I could feel the beast within clawing to get out, desperate to save Kassie from the mayor's grasp.

Elowyn waved for me to step out of the room that wasn’t enchanted, so we could have our full forms out on display. I stepped into the showroom, and Lucien followed.

"Hurry up, Elowyn!" Hollow barked, his tentacles tightening around Kassie, to hold a sleeping Kassie in his arms.

Elowyn glared at Hollow. “Don’t rush me, or I’ll cut off a tentacle and use it in a stew.”

Hollow’s human face faltered and backed away.

Elowyn's chant grew louder, more insistent. The coolness in my veins turned to ice, freezing the monster within, forcing it to submit. I felt my form stabilize, the human facade locking into place. My claws retracted, my fangs shrank, and my wings folded back, disappearing from sight.

"It is done," Elowyn said, her voice barely above a whisper. “That was too much, too many days for you, Atlas. I don’t recommend doing that to any other monster for more than three days at a time.”

The mayor nodded. “Agreed. Also, Atlas, you’re done. No more suppressants, your body can’t handle it any longer.”

I groaned. My body was exhausted, but I could already feel another problem growing.

Kassie was going to think the worst of me.

I rubbed my head. “Now, I cannot visit her at night?”

Elowyn shrugged her shoulders. “I’m sorry, it’s just the way it is. Mayor Hollow, I suggest you let nature take its course now. Atlas, as the humans say, man up and tell your woman who you really are, sooner the better. You can’t wait until the next dance.”

Hollow growled in frustration.

My antennae twitched. I enjoyed her far too much to reject her. I was a bug, women didn’t like bugs. Kassie has expressed how much she enjoyed shifting animals, monsters of all sizes and shapes, but she has said nothing about… giant cryptids.

I groaned. “What do I do?”

Lucien stepped forward into the group, as always uninvited. “You visit her in her sleep.”

“More of the stalking thing?” I droned.

Hollow cleared his throat. “That might work better. She won’t have as much trouble if she is not your match.”

“You said she liked that,” Lucien replied, rolling his eyes at Hollow. “From that one movie, and what about the whole it would be so hot if my boyfriend would crawl in my window and have their way with me, thing you told me about. It’s your perfect chance.”

Elowyn blushed and turned her back to us to walk away. “My work is done, good luck.”

Meanwhile, the mayor was intrigued. “Do you wish for me to find out her desires?” He tilted his head. “Find out what she finds extremely arousing?”

I rubbed my hands together and then wiped them down my face in nervousness. “You can do that?”

“Invasion of dream privacy is my thing, I am a Slenderman.” He stood up straighter. “As long as I have your permission to do so, since we are ninety-five percent sure she is your match.”

“Is this ethical?” I asked Lucien.

He shrugged his shoulders. “Dude, I don’t know. We all got here at about the same time. I’m going to say no for humans, but we aren’t, and Kassie isn’t really… normal. She stuffs your pants with panties.”

My cock tapped my slit. “Fine, tell me what she desires.”
