Chapter 24 #2

Harlow leaned in, squinting at the screen. "He's such a tool. But you know what? This is gonna be great for your numbers. Everyone loves a good comeback. I mean, look at your message board on the home page.”

YeetnDelete111: Where is KassieNova?

MomsaidNo3635: She hasn’t been on in days. I need my gamer goth fix.

ThreatLevelBeige69: Along with those jiggly titties, right?

ChaosButPolite2: Forget the tits, I’m ready for the commentary. She scared off my dealer, and that means something.

I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help the smile tugging at my lips. She was right. This was going to be epic. I cracked my knuckles, ready to type out a response that would set the stage for our showdown.

Maybe going into heat wasn’t a terrible thing.

I did get my D, anyway.

"Alright, TeaBag," I started typing, my fingers pounding the keys with a satisfying rhythm. "You want a rematch? You got it. What’s the game?"

Atlas rumbled behind me, a low growl in his chest. "What do you mean, stakes?"

I glanced back at him, grinning. "It means if I win, he has to do something humiliating. And if he wins... well, he won't, so it doesn't matter."

Harlow laughed, clapping her hands together. "This is gonna be so good. Okay, what game is he gonna pick?"

I hit send and leaned back, feeling Atlas' solid chest against me. "Who knows? But whatever it is, I'll be ready. It's not about the game anymore. It’s about knocking him off his high horse. Which I guess I still need to win to do that."

Atlas' arms tightened around me, his voice a low murmur in my ear. "You are incredible, my soul. I have no doubt you will defeat this... TeaBag."

I laughed, the sound filling the room. "Damn right I will. And you know what? I'm gonna enjoy every minute of it."

The chat box pinged with a new message. TeaBagTitan had responded almost immediately. The message was followed by a winking emoji that made me want to gag.

"Alright, when and where, big boy?" I typed back, my heart pounding with anticipation.

Harlow was practically bouncing in her seat, her eyes glued to the screen. "This is better than any drama on TV. You gotta sell it, Kassie. Make him think he's got a chance, then crush him."

I chuckled, feeling Atlas' breath hot on my neck. "Oh, I'm planning on it. But first, I need to know what battlefield he thinks he can beat me on."

The chat box pinged again.

TeaBagTitan: "How about 'Petals and Puddles'? Tomorrow night, 8 p.m. Let's see if you can handle the zombie apocalypse, KassieNova."

I grinned, my fingers dancing over the keys. "'Petals and Puddles' it is. Prepare to have your ass handed to you, BlueBalls. See you on the battlefield." I hit send and leaned back into Atlas.

Atlas growled softly, his arms wrapping tighter around me. "I do not like this male. He is disrespectful and arrogant."

I patted his arm, smiling. "That's exactly why I need to take him down a peg. Don't worry, Atlas. I've got this."

Harlow clapped her hands together, her eyes shining with excitement. "This is gonna be epic. I can't wait to see the look on his face when you wipe the floor with him."

Atlas let out a whine behind his throat. “This game sounds nice and not violent like the games I’ve seen you play.”

I bit my lip, trying not to laugh. “Its all an illusion. It’s basically blowing up a garden kingdom, bloodshed everywhere. It’s amazing.”

Atlas’ antennae leaned back on his head.

I stood up, stretching my arms above my head. "Alright, I need to prep. Harlow, can you handle the promo? Make sure everyone knows about the showdown."

Harlow saluted me, a mischievous grin on her face. "You got it, boss. I'll make sure the world knows that TeaBagTitan is about to get his sculpted ass kicked."

Atlas stood up as well, with me in his arms. He growled, looking at the picture of Titan on the computer. “I hate this male. Where does he live?”

I slapped his chest playfully. “You’re funny. No one really knows where other players live; it’s a privacy thing. We will beat him in the game, no worries.”

I stepped away, but Atlas continued to stare at Titan’s face, like he was taking it into memory.

Oh shit.

“Atlas?” I called out to him and watched as he pulled a phone out of his pocket and took a picture.

And here comes the obsessive monster boyfriend…

“Nah, ah, ah. We ain’t doing that. I cannot get caught with that; this is my job. You said I could do this. You promised!” I ran up to him and gave him my good pouted lip.

I get everything with that pouted lip.

He stared down at me and then stared at the picture. “But, he is competition, I must eliminate him.”

I made a face of disgust. “Ew, him? He is gross.”

“Harlow likes this male. He said his backside was muscular. Mine is soft,” Atlas whined.

“Because your heart is big,” I replied quickly. “I like big hearts in big butts.” I wrapped my arms around him and squeezed his butt lovingly. “Now let me beat up the bad guy, please. If he beats me, then you can go beat him up in real life.”

Atlas sighed heavily. “If this is what you wish, I will wait. But it is hard.”

I swung our hands back and forth. “Does my mothy need a reward?”

His antennae perked up. “I get a reward?”

I nodded excitedly. “Yup, a treat. Harlow, you might wanna leave for this.”

Harlow already had her nose pinched and was backing toward the door. “Yup, smelled it from here. Ya’ll behave now. Use protection. I’m not ready to be an auntie yet.”
