29. McKinley

“Did you know they made white hot chocolate? Chance bought me one the other night, and it’s life-changing.”

Trenton glances at my hot cup. “No, but I’m sure Giuliana does.”

I scoff. “I don’t know why everyone’s under the impression that hot chocolate is for kids.”

“Because adults need caffeine, not a cup of sugar.”

“You don’t know what you’re missing, Warden. This is fucking delicious.”

Jason nudges my knee with his. “You ready for this, Mac?”

I straighten my tie and flash him a wide grin. “You know it.”

I’ve been waiting a long time to tell the world about the two loves of my life. The team scheduled a press conference so we can make a statement regarding the stories circulating about me, Chance, and Presley. Chance is planning on doing the same in Philly later today. I wish I could be there; I know this isn’t easy for him. At least he has the support of his team.

This is more than just PR. This is standing up and letting everyone know: Racism and prejudice no longer have a place in the NHL. Inequality has gone on for far too long. Our teams are going to make sure everyone knows that moving forward, sports will be a safe space for everyone .

Jason pats my shoulder. “We’re with you, whatever you need.”

I arch a brow. “Feels like it was yesterday when I was giving you the same speech.”

He chuckles. “Time flies when you’re fucking two people at the same time.”

“It sure fucking does, my friend.”

Trenton laughs. “Our boy is all grown up. Look at you, in a relationship. Did you think you’d ever be here when you woke up naked in a stranger’s house?”

I slap my forehead with my palm, and drag my hand down my face. “Don’t remind me of that nightmare, okay?”

Coach knocks on the door before sticking his head inside. “They’re ready for us.”

Alexander wraps his arm around my shoulders as we walk toward the door. “I’m proud of you, Mac. And I’m so happy that you’re finally happy.”

Me too.

It’s about damn time.

“You were incredible today.”

I smile as my head falls back against the seat, and I kill the engine. “Thanks, pretty girl. You watched it?”

“Of course I did. I watched Chance’s press conference too.”

My heart clenches at the reminder. “So did I.”

“I’m jealous I can’t be there with you two tonight.”

“How’s my girl doing? Has she stopped throwing up?”

She heaves a sigh. “I think she’s finally on empty. Hopefully she sleeps through the night without any issues.”

“I wish you would’ve let me stay and help.”

“You have a big game coming up. There’s no way in hell I’d let you catch this thing.”

“I’m invincible. Germs can’t bring me down.”

She chuckles, and the sound of her laugh soothes me. “It’s concerning that you actually believe that.”

“Well, get some rest, baby. I need you healthy for when I get back.”

“Oh, yeah? And why’s that?”

“Because you’ll need all your strength for how good I’m going to fuck you.”

She hums. “Maybe I’ll make a video of me touching myself tonight to show you both what you’re missing.”

My dick jumps. “Fuck, yes. Definitely do that.”

“Goodnight, handsome. Give Chance a kiss for me.”

“I will.” I pause. “I love you, pretty girl.”

“I love you too, Stephen.”

My heart soars as I end the call.

I love the two of them. I never stopped, even when we weren’t a part of each other’s lives. And now it’s like we’re picking right back up where we left off, as if no time has passed at all.

Chance’s SUV pulls up to his apartment building, and I step out of the car.

His eyebrows draw together as he spots me. “What’s wrong?”

I let out a low chuckle. “Everything’s fine, relax.”

“You came all the way to Philly because everything’s fine?”

“I came all the way to Philly to see you.” I clasp his hand, threading our fingers together, and I tug him toward his building. “Come on. Let’s go inside.”

He eyes my duffle bag. “You staying over?”

“Wanted to catch you before your flight leaves tomorrow.”

“It’s an early one.”

I shoot him a wink. “I won’t keep you up too late.”

The hint of a smirk pulls at the corner of his mouth as he leads us inside. He knows damn well that I have every intention of keeping him up until sunrise.

We’re quiet on the elevator ride upstairs, anticipation building in the silence between us. Normally, I’d be talking his ear off about anything and everything, just to annoy him.

But tonight is different.

My eyes bounce around Chance’s apartment as I step inside. It’s exactly what I expected—minimal decorations; minimal color; lots of black and gray. It doesn’t feel warm and inviting. It doesn’t really feel lived-in at all.

“Stop judging me,” he says as he drops his keys into a dish on the entryway table.

I hold up my palms on either side of my head. “Not judging.”

He puts his hands on his hips, his defenses rising. “Tell me why you’re here.”

Damn, he looks good. He’s in a suit from his press conference, a charcoal color with a crisp black button-up underneath. His usual messy hair is styled neatly, putting his big brown eyes on full display. Chance is strikingly beautiful. Tall, dark, and handsome with an edge. And he’s finally mine.

I toss my duffle onto the floor and step into his space. “I saw your press conference.”

He arches a brow. “And...?”

My fingers slowly work the buttons on his shirt, popping them open one by one. “And I’m so proud of you.”

His eyes tighten as he holds himself still, not one for praise.

I continue, unbuckling his belt next. “It was such a turn-on hearing you talk about our relationship in front of everyone like that.” I slip his jacket off his shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. “You let the world know that you are mine, and that I belong to you—that the three of us are forever entwined.”

His lips part with his shallow breaths.

I remove his shirt next, leaving him in a tight black tank top. “Fuck, you look good, baby.” I dip my head and press soft kisses to his neck. “I know it wasn’t easy for you to do what you did today, and I just wanted to show you how good it made me feel.”

Chance reaches out and cups my face in his strong hands. “Is that what you think, that it wasn’t easy for me?”

My eyes bounce between his. “I know you don’t like talking about your feelings, especially in front of the press. You just came out and told the world you’re bisexual. This is a huge deal.”

He shakes his head as he leans in and nips at my bottom lip. “It’s been a long time coming, Stephen. I was ready. I don’t want to hide this anymore.”

Pride surges through me as arousal seeps into my core. I always told him I’d wait for him—wait for him to come out, wait for him to admit his feelings to the world, wait for him to feel secure in who he truly is.

My tongue swipes along his lips. “You finally ready for me, baby?”

“You’ve waited long enough.”

My patience snaps, and I yank his pants down to his ankles, dropping down to my knees in front of him. Chance tears off his tank top while I slide his boxers down his legs, leaving him towering naked above me.

His hand comes around to the back of my head, guiding my mouth to his hard cock. I suck him all the way in, forgoing any teasing, and let him hit the back of my throat. Tonight is about him, and I want him to take whatever he wants from me.

“You love gagging on this cock, don’t you, baby?” He thrusts his hips forward, and I give it a second before I pull back to gasp for air. “You’ve always been such a good boy for me. You love being on your knees, letting me fuck this perfect mouth and fill it with cum.”

My eyes roll in the back of my head as precum leaks from my dick, and I moan around him. I’m swollen and hard, already so turned on by Chance’s dirty talk.

“You gonna let me fuck that tight little ass tonight, hmm?” His deep voice smooths over me like silk. “I’m gonna use you and make such a mess of you, baby.”

I wrap my hand around my cock and squeeze it, needing relief.

Chance clicks his tongue on the roof of his mouth. “Uh-uh, baby. Hands behind your back. You don’t get to touch unless I say you do.”

I clasp my hands behind my back, loving the way he orders me around. I know how much he loves being in control, and I can feel his dick practically pulsing in my mouth because of how turned-on he is.

He fucks my mouth in harsh strokes, and it’s not long before he gazes down at me with those wild eyes of his. “I’m gonna come, baby. Fuck, I’m gonna come.”

I keep my eyes locked on his, and I suck him all the way to the back of my throat as he spills his load. I hum and close my eyes as I swallow him down, licking the remnants of him off my lips.

Chance wastes no time hauling me up and dragging me down the hall. We peel my clothes off, and crash into the walls as we kiss, until we fall into a heap on the bed. The comforter puffs up around us, cocooning us in like it’s shielding us from the rest of the world.

“Hold on.” I pull back, and push off the mattress.

“Where are you going?” Chance calls after me as I bolt into the hallway.

I slip my phone out of my pants pocket and bring it back into the bedroom. I prop it up against the lamp on his nightstand, and open the camera, setting it up for a video.

“We’re going to make a video for our girl.”

Chance smirks as I turn around and crawl back to him on the mattress. God, he’s fucking beautiful. Completely naked with his smooth, olive skin on display, and his hair a mess from my fingers. My heart feels so full, so completely whole knowing that I have both of the loves of my life back.

I slow things down, and take Chance’s face into my hands, pressing a tender kiss to his lips. I pull back an inch to look into his eyes. “I love you, Chance. I always have.”

His Adam’s apple bobs in his throat as he gazes at me. “I love you too.”

We spend the night making love to each other—in between absolute filthy fucking—and we fall asleep in each other’s arms.

A sense of accomplishment lulls me to sleep. I’m finally where I want to be in life. The perfect girlfriend; the perfect boyfriend; incredible kids to help raise; and my dream career.

Everything is so perfect.
