26. Chapter 26
Chapter twenty-six
It only takes me three steps to reach him.
I keep my eyes on his until I find myself standing between his legs. This time I don’t hesitate, I lace my hands over Dimitri’s shoulders and bend down, pressing my hungry lips to his.
Dimitri’s mouth eagerly meets mine and he wraps his arms around me, pulling me down on top of him. I gasp as he tugs me closer, my towel falling away to the floor as I end up straddling him in nothing but my bikini.
“Is this ok?” Dimitri murmurs, scanning my eyes to make sure I’m not uncomfortable.
But ok isn’t even close to being the right word for describing how I feel right now.
I’m half-naked on top of this wildly attractive man but I don’t feel nervous or self-conscious. I see the desire in his eyes as he looks at me. The feel of his strong arms wrapped around me. I feel safe. I feel sexy and confident. I feel incredible.
I want this. All of this.
I want him.
So, I skip the words and show him how I feel.
I crush my mouth against his, dragging my fingers through his thick hair as I pull myself tighter against his chest. Dimitri nips my bottom lip, tracing his tongue along the seam until I open up to him. His hands slide slowly down my back over the thin fabric of my swimsuit bottoms until they trail along the exposed skin of my ass, squeezing gently as his tongue sweeps against mine.
This time I do nothing to hide the moan that escapes my lips. He responds with a throaty chuckle as he kisses and nips his way down my neck.
His hands roam up my back, tracing patterns on my skin that match the ones he’s making with his lips and tongue. Heat blooms in my lower belly and I swear my skin sparks where he touches it.
More. More. More.
I feel him hesitate as he reaches the back band of my bikini top, waiting for permission.
“Take it off,” I whisper against his ear.
With a quick pull, he unties the knot. The straps flutter to my side and I feel my heavy breasts fall free. Dimitri runs one calloused hand up my side to cup my left breast. He flicks a finger across the sensitive skin of my nipple and I inhale sharply at the sensation.
“Beautiful,” he tells me again, as he palms me. Massaging my breast in his hand and teasing my nipple with his fingers until it hardens under his touch. He flashes me a devilish grin before bending to pull my nipple into his mouth.
My back arches as he sucks but he keeps one hand firmly spread across my ass to hold me in place. I dig my fingers into his shoulders as he sucks and licks and plays with my breasts. Alternating using his hand and mouth between them. The sensation of his tongue, the stubble of his beard, and the calloused skin of his hands is intoxicating and the warmth between my legs starts to build.
I grind my hips, relishing the feel of the hard length of him beneath me as I move back and forth in his lap.
“Calla,” he groans. Both of his hands cup my ass now as he rocks me against him. His kiss claims me and sets me on fire. But when I reach down between us, Dimitri breaks off our kiss.
“I don’t have a condom, I didn’t think…”
“I do,” I pant.
“You do?”
“Yes,” I breathe, then realize how forward it sounds.
“Not because I expected this,” I rush to explain. “When my friend Mel knew I was coming here, she shoved a bunch in my purse and…”
Dimitri pushes a finger against my swollen lips.
“Calla. I’m happy that you have one. Can you get it now? Please?”
Unlatching myself from Dimitri, I pad to the back of the boat, pulling my day bag out from where I had stowed it this morning. Buried under the extra clothes I grab my purse, unzipping the back pocket to pull out one of the condoms tucked inside and make a mental note to thank Mel later.
Dimitri is still sitting where I left him, leaning back on his forearms, with his legs in front of him as he watches me approach. His dark eyes roam my body hungrily. Dragging slowly over my naked breasts, then up to my face. I shiver in anticipation.
“Come here,” he tells me, his voice heavy with promise.
I step back into the space between his legs as he sits up, taking the square foil packet from me and placing it on the cushion beside him. He reaches for me, hands trailing down my thighs, circling around the back of my legs and up to squeeze my ass before resting on my hips. I rest my hands on his shoulders as he pulls my bikini bottoms down, dragging them slowly down my body until they puddle at my feet. I step out of them but remain standing as he takes in my naked form.
“You are perfect,” he breathes, “absolutely perfect.”
Suddenly he’s standing. His thumb lightly brushing my lips as he leans forward, kissing me softly. Turning me around, he sits me on the platform in his place. Eagerly, I reach for the drawstring of his shorts but he gently grabs my wrists, stopping me.
“No,” he says huskily, “Not yet.”
Dimitri nudges my legs apart, spreading his hands on my thighs as he lowers himself to the floor. His stare fixes me in place and I find myself holding my breath at the sight of him on his knees in front of me. He spreads me a little wider, flashing me a self-assured grin before slowly kissing his way up the inside of my leg. My heart races as I watch him kiss, nip, and lick a trail up my thigh and when he reaches my core, I gasp.
Dimitri devours me.
His hands hold me in place as he works me with his lips, tongue, and fingers until I shatter completely under his touch. And when the waves rocking my body subside, I make him change positions, eager to taste him. The sound of his moans and the throb of him in my mouth is intoxicating and when he whispers my name, I’m more than ready.
Dimitri pulls me up beside him, ripping open the foil packet as I watch hungrily. He positions himself over me, catching my mouth with his as he lines himself up and slowly plunges inside of me. Taking me over the edge as the sunset fades below the horizon line.
Dimitri and I end up spending the night on the Elena. When we both recover, he moves us into the shelter of the bay and lets Spyros know we’ve decided to spend the night on the water. We’ll have to leave early in the morning to get back in time to clean the boat before the day tour, but it’s worth it.
We eat the leftovers from our lunch picnic for dinner and lay on our backs to star gaze. I point out the constellations I’m familiar with and Dimitri tells me the stories and legends behind some of the others.
The air is cooler without the heat of the sun so Dimitri brings a pile of beach blankets to the front, creating a nest-like bed for us on the cushions so we can stay outside, under the night sky.
“Dimitri?” I raise my head from his chest to look at him. His eyes are closed, his hair completely dishevelled, a slight upturn to his lips. The vision of a satisfied man.
“Yes?”
“Remember the other day when we were talking about sunsets, and you asked how the ones in Symi compared to Vancouver?”
“Mmmhmmm.”
“This one wins.”
His eyes flash open and with a wicked grin, he pulls me on top of him.
“Calla.”
I come to with Dimitri’s soft lips pressing against the sensitive area between my shoulder and my neck. I stretch out to give him better access but he just laughs softly against my neck, his breath and stubble tickling my skin in the most delicious way.
“Calla, wake up. You’re not going to want to miss this.”
I slowly open my eyes to Dimitri’s excited grin.
“Look.”
I follow his gaze to see a dozen or so dark shapes speeding through the water. At first, I’m confused. After all, the only marine life I’ve really seen in the Greek islands is the seals. But then I remember a conversation between Mary and Jim on my first outing on the Elena.
“Dolphins!” I squeal.
Dimitri is already dressed; a sign he’s been up and probably got a head start on cleaning while letting me sleep. I grab one of the beach blankets and wrap it around myself, stumbling in my hurry to get closer to the edge.
This early in the morning, the water is so calm it’s nearly still, so it’s easy to see the dolphins as they swim and break through the surface. Racing against each other in the early light of the day.
Dimitri comes up behind me, wrapping his arms around me and nuzzling my neck.
“Glad I woke you?”
I nod, latching my hands around his arms and leaning back into his chest as we watch the dolphins until they fade away somewhere on the horizon line, tiny specks of black against the sky’s promise of a beautiful, sunny day.
I use the tiny boat bathroom to freshen up as much as I can before we head back to Gialos. The mirror over the sink reveals slightly swollen lips and a magnificent case of bedhead. Dimitri unravelled my hair from its braid during last night’s activities and it’s in desperate need of a thorough brushing. Unfortunately, a hairbrush was not on the packing list, so I scrape it back in a ponytail. A problem for later.
Another thing that didn’t make the packing list was a toothbrush but Dimitri found some mouthwash which he left out for me. However, even the lack of a hairbrush and toothbrush can’t hide the happy, shiny look on my face. The afterglow effect is in full swing and I’m convinced that anyone who looks at me today will know exactly what I got up to last night. But I’m not embarrassed.
Let them wonder, I think to myself as I throw on my green bikini, climbing up the stairs to the deck where Dimitri is pulling up the anchor.
“Can I help?”
“All good.”
He glances over at me, noticing my outfit. Or rather, lack thereof since I didn’t bother to throw anything on over my swimsuit. He doesn’t say anything but I see the look and smile on his face. A look that tells me that he’s proud of me. I return his smile and a bubbly, warm feeling tingles inside of me. Partly because I like how he looks at me. But mostly because I’m feeling pretty proud of myself too.
It’s only about half an hour until we reach Gialos. Once we are docked, I follow Dimitri’s direction to properly wash and wipe down the Elena; the cushions, the deck, and the kitchen. It’s a full-on job and even though Dimitri got a head start, it takes us well over an hour before we get it done. I pull on my shorts and t-shirt and run to the bakery to get some coffee and breakfast while Dimitri finishes a couple of things below.
I return ten minutes later with two freddo cappuccinos and spinach and feta pies, still warm from the oven, to see that Spyros has arrived. He and Dimitri stand together on the shoreline deep in discussion. I hesitate for a second, feeling awkward that Spyros no doubt knows exactly what we got up to last night on his boat.
“Kalimera, Calla!” His voice booms as he sees me, a wide grin on his face.
I return the greeting with a warm but shy smile, passing Dimitri his coffee and pastry.
Sensing my nervousness, Dimitri loops his arm around my waist and pulls me against him. “You’re an angel. Thank you.” He kisses the top of my head but keeps one arm wrapped around me.
My eyes widen in shock at his openness but Spyros just beams at us and asks if I want to join them on the boat today. “Plenty of space,” he promises me with a wink, “and I know the boss.”
I laugh and thank him but decline. Explaining that tonight is the last night I have at Vera’s apartment and I need to find somewhere new now that I’ve extended my stay.
“Ok, ok. But another day, yes?” Spyros claps Dimitri on the shoulder, telling him to be ready in five minutes, then goes to greet the small crowd milling around his sign by the docks with another booming ‘Kalimera!’
“I guess you better go.” I smile up at Dimitri.
“I wish you were coming.”
I arch my brow at him, biting my lip thinking of the things we did together on that boat. Things that we would, no doubt, both be thinking of all day. Dimitri catches on quickly.
“Ok, ok maybe not,” he admits. “It would be very distracting and unfair to the other guests for you to have my full attention.”
“Mmm, and I don’t like competition,” I tease.
Dimitri bends to kiss me once more. “There’s no competition, Calla,” he whispers against my ear. “I already told you, I’m all yours.”
