9. Bellamira

Chapter nine

Bellamira

I kept my fingers from tapping on the car door as Marley pulled in front of Catalina’s mansion. Unlike mine, hers was gaudy. The hedges were trimmed into shapes, the entire driveway was lined with lamp posts with a fountain in the middle sporting a cherub spewing water, and the front porch was surrounded in columns, expanding the entire three stories.

It was everything I hated, but Catalina was far kinder than one would expect. She loved her money and spending it on things I deemed hideous, but she had always treated me and mine well. Which is why I rarely, if ever, missed her parties.

If Lehan had been throwing the event tonight, I would have denied the invitation. Although his were more lively, they also tended to be irritatingly loud and obnoxious. If a piece of furniture wasn’t broken and blood didn’t spill, it wasn’t a Lehan party. That was not how I wanted to introduce Hazelle to the world.

Catalina was the perfect level. Everyone would have a good calm time, enjoying booze, food, and a variety of sexual partners if they so chose.

Marley opened the door a tad slow, and I missed Brant’s experience. He was my personal driver for a reason. Another few days under lock and key, eating from a dog bowl, would suffice. I couldn’t imagine dealing with a Monday at work without him.

I stepped out, two chains in hand. One led to Elera’s white and moonstone collar while the other was attached to Hazelle’s blue gem-encrusted one that Elera had given her. I hadn’t mentioned it, but I approved of it as it was fitting for the two of them to share in such a way. Whether the partygoers recognized the collar or not, it showed everyone that Hazelle was Elera’s as well, although I was the one holding the leash.

Both chains were fairly light and thankfully didn’t make too much noise. The end that slipped onto my wrist matched each of their collars as we always ordered them together to ensure a cohesive outfit. Of course, I had simple black and white ones just in case.

We were a sultry pastel wet dream.

My pets stepped out behind me with Hazelle lurking behind Elera, her hand lightly holding onto the side of Elera’s dress. Elera was ever the confident pet and stood proudly by me, but a smidge back, as we walked up the steps. Marley pulled away in the car as we stopped in front of the door, a doorman waiting to let us inside after confirming we were on the list. He had been working for Catalina for years and knew me well.

Typically, he let me inside without issue, but this time, he asked, “New pet?”

“Yes, Catalina was made aware of this possibility.” He nodded and opened the door, giving me no fuss. Catalina was a lax employer as long as her guests were happy and her property wasn’t damaged, so he would rather incur her annoyance than my wrath.

The foyer was every bit as gaudy as the front of the mansion, more so even with plants and paintings covering nearly every inch of the walls that led to the double staircases that led upstairs. To the right was one sitting area with a few sofas that matched the creamy aesthetic Catalina loved. To the left was a sunroom behind two glass doors. The room led to a large porch and pool. The outer “wall,” if you could call it that, was foldable, collapsing into the right side of the wall so it could be enjoyed during all weather scenarios. It was currently open.

I never got into the pool as I found it disgusting. Elera didn’t enjoy it either, but I made a note to ask Hazelle if she wanted to get in next time.

Catalina was the center of attention next to the pool with her male Omega at her feet, dangling his legs in the water. She was in a white pearlescent bikini that barely covered anything, and Layne was in a matching speedo, watching his Alpha lovingly. Unlike my pets, he wasn’t collared. He was, however, typically found near her. They had a relationship much like the one I had with Elera in a deeper sense.

Another doorman opened the doors and ushered us in.

The second my foot stepped through the door, Catalina squealed, “Bella! Come in, come in!” She sauntered over to us with her black hair swaying behind her and her bare feet slapping the ground. “Oh, and who is this adorable Omega hiding behind you?”

Elera stood to my left, and Hazelle remained behind me, giving me the same treatment she had done with Elera earlier, holding onto a piece of my dress for comfort. There wasn’t much to grab as this was a tight dress though.

“Hazelle,” I introduced her, motioning for her to step forward. “Elera’s gift and my new pet.” She did as instructed, standing just enough to the side that Catalina could see her.

“Well, how cute is she? Is that why you’re late, hm?” Catalina joked with a smirk on her full lips covered in a deep purple hue.

“I gave her a much needed but unplanned haircut. I knew you wouldn’t mind after you met her.”

“Oh, not at all. I’m definitely going to want to borrow her some time.” Hazelle stepped back, and although I couldn’t see her face, I knew her expression held a bit of terror. “Not tonight, sweetie, tonight you watch and learn. Spend time with your Alpha, meet a few others, oh, and say hi to my Omega, Layne. I think you’d like him. The first party is always…” She thought over her words for a second. “A lot. That can be a good and bad thing, but I do hope you enjoy yourself. I’m always here if any of you need anything.” She looked over the three of us as a servant came over with drinks on a tray. He had the usual for Elera and me and a lemonade for Hazelle.

“Dinner will be in thirty minutes, so I will leave you to it until then.”

“Thank you as always, Cat.” I turned to Hazelle who was staring after Catalina and ignoring her drink on the tray. “Did you want the lemonade, my pet, or was there something else you’d enjoy? My drink of choice is a Blood his timing was impeccable as always, and I wondered if he’d request Elera after all. “You know Catalina gave you one more strike before you’re never invited here again. Why don’t you fuck off and sit by a plant that won’t be offended by your existence, hm?” There was a reason Elera liked Perrin and requested that he use her tonight. Not only was he similar in personality to me, but he was far gentler than I would ever be. He respected all beings, no matter their designation, but enjoyed the status that came with his Alpha rank.

“Perry, always a pleasure,” I said as Daana slinked off and out of my sight. “She truly is repugnant, thinking I’d ever let her touch what is mine.” I felt Hazelle scoot in closer with her head peeking around my side.

“Even if I didn’t already know why, seeing Hazelle makes it all the more clear.” Perrin smiled down at her, his light brown hair flopping over his deep brown eyes. Everything about him screamed soft kindness, and I was happy to confirm that it encompassed his bedroom behavior as well. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say he was more Beta or Omega material, but only Alphas had egos the size of ours. Besides, he was nearly as tall as I was in my heels. That pegged him for an Alpha if nothing else did.

“Hazelle won’t be partaking in anything tonight anyway. This is her first time out, and no one is worthy of that honor.”

“Ah, I see, so my request was denied before I even spoke it. Then I would like to put my name in the hat for Elera, and jot me down for Hazelle whenever she is ready, hm?” He looked at both of them respectively and with kindness beaming from him.

“Of course. I was hoping you’d request Elera tonight to show Hazelle how things are done around here. After all, you are Elera’s favorite.” I heard Elera gasp beside me as Perrin burst into laughter.

“Am I? What an honor, Elera.” He gave a slight bow with a smile brightening his face. “I will gladly help you break in your new Omega. Until then. Bellamira.” Perrin nodded his head and sauntered off.

“I can’t believe you said that,” Elera said just loud enough for me to hear, and I chuckled.

“I will say as I please. You know this.” My voice was stern but not harsh.

“I didn’t mean—”

“I know, Elera. I was joking.”

Dinner was announced a moment later, and we made our way to the massive dining room, fit with one long table that seated thirty easily along with space for any pets, slaves, or otherwise that others brought. On either side of my seat placed a smidge back were two cushions for Elera and Hazelle.

I eyed the name cards for the people beside me and instructed Elera to sit on my right, next to Gianna, and for Hazelle to sit on my left, beside Reid. She would have an easier time with him and his pet, Piper, than Gianna who came alone.

They sat on their cushions like good little pets, and I hung their chains on the back of the seat before sitting down.

Dinner was served with the pets getting theirs last. Everyone had a different way of feeding theirs. Some were true pets who ate from bowls with no silverware. Mine were given small trays so they didn’t make a mess of themselves before the fun truly started.

We started with a Greek salad followed by grilled lamb kebabs, pita, and all the fixings for it, and for dessert, there was an array brought in on a towered cart. I chose a chocolate cheesecake. When Hazelle and Elera had their chance, Hazelle chose a bowl of chocolate-covered strawberries, and Elera picked a lemon bar with chocolate drizzle.

Apparently, chocolate was well loved in our house, and I chuckled to myself, knowing I would need to add more of it to our dessert rotations.
