Epilogue Rafael

Epilogue

Rafael

Two months later

Gold sequins cast a honeyed glow over her skin as I gaze up at her from between her thighs.

‘That’s it, dirty girl. Come on your fiancé’s face. Soak me in it.’

‘Rafe!’ Aurora squeals, her fingers scrunching in my hair.

The hard edge of her diamond ring presses into my scalp, and I hiss, my throbbing cock leaking in my underwear.

The sound of her vlog plays in the background. It’s that one. The one I can’t stop watching on repeat. The one I filmed of her, then assisted her in, but that she never actually posted, because we would probably have both been arrested.

Vlog Aurora squeals on the screen as I kneel behind her on the floor of our dressing room at home, pounding her pussy with rough grunts as I grip her hips and bring her back on to my cock over and over.

She squirms on my desk, her eyes flicking from the phone screen to my face, then back again.

‘You look so good when you’re being fucked,’ I groan, sinking my face back between her thighs and sliding my tongue over her.

She shudders, her breath coming in needy little pants as her body tightens around my pen like it’s desperate for it to be replaced by my cock.

‘That’s it,’ I groan, sliding the soaked black length from inside her pussy and replacing it with my tongue.

‘I’m going to come,’ Aurora moans. ‘Oh God, Rafe. I’m going to come.’

‘Do it,’ I urge, sealing my lips around her swollen little clit and sucking.

She practically leaps off my desk, and I pin her back down, letting out a guttural groan as her pussy quivers and sends a spray of cum out into my waiting mouth.

‘That’s what I’m talking about, Beauty. More,’ I grunt, drinking it up greedily, as some runs over my chin.

She whimpers and writhes, but I keep her locked in place until her pussy falls into another set of rhythmic spasms against my tongue. I let her ride them out, gently circling her clit to drag her pleasure out as long as possible.

‘No more,’ she begs. ‘It’s too sensitive.’

I ease off my assault on her pussy, grinning smugly as I press a final kiss to it, then relax back in my desk chair.

‘I was only meant to bring you lunch,’ Aurora pants, gazing at me, her cheeks flushed.

I bring my pen to my mouth, sucking her taste from the end of it.

‘You did. And I enjoyed eating it at my desk very much.’

‘Fiend,’ she murmurs, her lips twisting into a smile.

‘Devoted fiancé,’ I counter.

She laughs, and the sound is like goddamn music to my ears.

I can’t believe I get to marry this woman and call her my wife soon.

It was only a matter of weeks after she came back to me that I got down on one knee and asked her.

The ring on her finger was burning a hole in my pocket from the moment I received it.

Now I understand why my friend, Sullivan Beaufort, turned from grumpy arsehole to a man who looks like he’s winning in life every time I call him.

The right woman changed him. The same way Aurora changed me.

And the moment she becomes Mrs Aurora Fairfax cannot come soon enough.

She adjusts the drenched lace back over her glistening pussy lips, then smooths her skirt down and hops off my desk.

‘I’ll go and clean up.’

I catch her wrist in my hand before she can head inside my office bathroom. ‘Not so fast.’

She rolls her eyes as I pull her into my lap, but I know she secretly loves that I can’t ever let her go without her kissing me first. I’ve become one of those romantic saps I used to question the sanity of.

And I love every bloody second.

‘I love you wearing this,’ I murmur against her lips as I slide my hand around her ribs and over the gold sequined fabric.

‘You love me in everything.’ Aurora shakes her head softly as she runs her fingers along my jaw and kisses me back tenderly.

‘The common denominator in both of those statements is you. I love you.’

‘Charmer,’ she hums, kissing me again. ‘But I can’t stay any longer. I have a client meeting this afternoon. Then we have dinner with my father tonight, remember?’

‘Of course I remember. He and I talked about it earlier.’

‘Earlier?’

‘We had coffee. He wanted to go over interview techniques before Friday.’

‘You helped him prepare for his interview?’

I shrug. ‘He asked me for my input, so I gave it.’

‘Over coffee?’ Aurora bites her lower lip, her eyes twinkling.

Her father’s interviewing for the board job that Dominic held.

It’s a weird twist of fate, and I asked George if he was sure that’s what he wanted.

But he insisted that if he’s going to prevent things like what happened to him happening to other people, then he needs to be at the top, where he can make changes.

I might have thought I hated the man once, but now I can’t deny the amount of respect I have for him. What he and Aurora have been through has only made him stronger and more determined. Just like his daughter.

‘And biscuits, if we’re going to be specific.’

Aurora grins. ‘Oh? Biscuits. Mm-hm, I see.’ She presses a lingering kiss to my lips. ‘Should I find it weird how well you and my father get along?’

‘We have lots in common,’ I muse, curling my fingers around the back of her neck and pulling her to me for another kiss.

‘Like what?’ she breathes against my lips.

‘Loving you,’ I murmur.

She giggles. ‘You’re so smooth. How did I never notice it?’

‘Because I was an arsehole before,’ I reply, claiming her lips again.

‘True.’ She smiles against my kiss. ‘But now you’re my arsehole. And you’re going to make me late.’

‘I’ll drive you.’

She moves back. ‘I’ll get the Tube.’

I fix her with a look that has her rolling her eyes.

‘Fine, you can drive me. But I need to leave in the next ten minutes.’

She hops up from my lap and I drink her in hungrily as she crosses the room to my wardrobe, where she now keeps her own sets of spare clothes. And panties. Lots and lots of spare panties to replace the ones I’m in the delightful habit of ruining whenever she comes and visits me at work.

‘This lady’s another friend of your mother’s,’ she calls as she slides open the drawer containing her lingerie.

‘She has good taste,’ I comment as Aurora holds my eyes and wiggles a pair of white lace panties up her legs.

Aurora’s now following her dream of blending fashion with helping people, by starting up her own personal styling business alongside her vlogging.

I know it took a lot for her to give up on the idea of the internship she’d worked so hard towards before her father went to prison and accept the fact she was never going to work in the wardrobe department for TV or film.

But it’s like she confessed to me one night: that was her mother’s dream, not hers.

And she can still honour her mother’s memory and keep her legacy alive by doing what’s right for her.

By being a daughter her mother would be proud of.

One who’s making her own destiny and is happy and thriving as a result.

The white lace slides over her perfect pink pussy, making me frown as it’s covered from view. I rise from my seat, stalking towards her, but she holds a palm up, laughing.

‘No, you don’t. We don’t have time.’

‘I always have time for that with you,’ I purr.

I reach for her, but she sidesteps me, moving into the bathroom and grabbing her hairbrush.

‘Rafael Francis Fairfax.’ She lowers her voice. ‘I already came on that big, beautiful dick of yours before you went down on me on your desk.’

‘I recall.’ I smile wide at the memory, making her blush.

‘So now I have to get back to work.’

I lean against the doorframe, watching her straighten herself out and touch up her lipstick.

‘You’re so beautiful,’ I breathe. ‘And so goddamn talented,’ I add.

She looks at me in the mirror above the sink, and the way she smiles makes my heart swell. She doesn’t just make me feel good. She makes me feel like I’m goddamn flying.

She’s already got a waiting list to work with her after my mother helped introduce her to some of her friends who were eager for help, alongside some clients Kate sent her way.

That’s the other thing . . .

The sound of barking from the hallway outside my office is swiftly followed by Gabriel marching into my office, a disgruntled, hissing Benedict hooked beneath one arm.

‘Freddie tried humping him again. He was not impressed,’ my brother says.

A small, sausage-shaped tornado whips past my ankles, making a beeline for Aurora.

‘Thank you so much for watching him for me while we ate. I feel sorry for him. Kate said he’s on a diet,’ she says to Gabe, bending to fuss the little menace.

Her making up with Kate was what she needed. And I was so happy for her when she told me the two of them had talked everything through.

But I didn’t factor in their re-blossoming friendship having the downside of Aurora dog-sitting whenever Kate travels. Making Freddie our problem – I mean, responsibility – for the next few days that he’s staying with us.

‘No problem.’ Gabe pushes his glasses up his nose. ‘They’ll get used to one another.’

Benedict makes a growly sound that resembles more demon than cat, and fidgets in my brother’s arms, wanting to be let loose on Freddie.

‘This is where you all are,’ Angelo announces, striding into my office.

I need to start insisting that Aurora locks the goddamn door. She thinks if she doesn’t that it’ll stop me from making her late by fucking her on my desk. But she should know me well enough by now to understand that when it comes to her, nothing will ever stop me.

‘Aren’t we popular?’ I mumble, but one look at my brother’s grim face and my heart rate picks up. ‘What is it?’

Angelo walks over and thrusts his phone out. Gabe steps closer so we can both read the article.

‘Son of a bitch,’ I murmur.

‘I’m on it. I’ll see what I can find out,’ Gabe says, exiting my office swiftly.

‘I’ll help.’ Angelo’s hot on his heels.

‘I’ll call Dove,’ I growl.

Aurora comes out of the bathroom. ‘What’s going on?’

‘Vance Falcon,’ I spit.

She frowns. ‘Dove’s ex?’

‘He was never her ex. He was just a mistake,’ I grit, unable to hide the rage simmering in my tone.

‘What’s he done?’ she asks.

I grab my phone and search for the news article that Angelo just showed me.

‘This.’ I hold it out to Aurora.

Her eyes widen. ‘He’s relocating his company to London?’

‘Looks that way. Research labs. Trial centres. The lot.’

‘But Dove . . .’ Her brow wrinkles as she reads the article. ‘He says his future is here and it’s time to reclaim it.’

She lifts her eyes to mine as I clench my jaw.

That means one thing.

The bastard who broke my sister isn’t just back for good.

He’s here for Dove.

And he thinks he’s getting her.

‘Rafe?’ She turns my face towards her.

My shoulders soften as I gaze into her aquamarine eyes. She’s the only person in the world who can calm the storm that rages in my chest when something as unnerving as my sister’s goddamn past comes back to claim her.

‘I love you so much,’ I say, brushing some errant blond strands back from her face.

‘You’ve got that look,’ she says, searching my eyes.

‘What look?’

‘Revenge,’ she whispers.

I pull her into my arms. My sister’s strong enough to deal with him. But it doesn’t mean I don’t want a piece of him.

‘Revenge?’ I hitch a brow.

‘I’d recognise it anywhere,’ Aurora says.

I exhale, my gaze roaming over her face softly.

‘I’m sorry you ever saw it in the first place.’ My gut twists, the same way it always does whenever I think about how I hurt her.

‘Don’t, Rafe. Don’t do this to yourself,’ she breathes. ‘We wouldn’t be here now if things hadn’t happened the way that they did.’

I search her eyes. So pure and forgiving. She gets it from her father. Because George Thorne gave me his blessing to marry his daughter, despite how things began between us.

‘I just wish you’d got your money back,’ she adds.

The incessant rage no longer burns inside me like it used to, thinking about the two hundred and forty million I lost. Dominic’s mistress is still missing and so is all the money she took.

The irony isn’t lost on me, that if I’d insured the investment myself rather than trusting Dominic, I would never have been in this situation.

I’m never going to see a penny of that insurance payout unless he’s found.

I took a risk, handing over the funds to him in blind faith, because the deal was too good to pass up and I trusted him.

The first big risk I’ve ever taken that hasn’t paid off. Not financially, anyway.

‘It led me to you, Aurora. And there’s no amount of money I wouldn’t lose to have you brought into my life.’

Her nose wrinkles and an adorable snort slips free. ‘You romantic. What did you do with the grumpy arsehole I fell in love with?’

I tilt my head. ‘Threw him off a balcony.’

‘Stop.’ She laughs, her eyes bright as she swats my chest lightly.

‘You and me. Revenge turned to love,’ I say.

She bites her lower lip, her eyes glittering as I gaze at her adoringly. ‘You know we’re using that in our wedding vows? In love and revenge.’

I take her hand in mine, pressing it to my chest so she feels the beats that exist purely for her.

Her breath hitches in wonder, the way it always does, proving to me that as much as I love her, she loves me right back.

‘Just love, Beauty.’

‘Always?’ she whispers, stroking the centre of my chest with tenderness.

I smile and pull her closer.

‘Until the last beat of my broken bloody heart.’
