Chapter 19
Chapter Nineteen
Kylie
“Kylie! Hey!”
At the sound of her name, she turned to find Sadie Hawkins, Derek’s wife and Little, running up to her.
Unease rippled up her spine. Not because she had any issues with Sadie, but simply because they didn’t interact a ton and she couldn’t think of any good reason Sadie would be flagging her down outside the cafeteria.
“Hey, Sadie. What’s up?”
“I just wanted to check on Danny.” Worry twisted the other woman’s features.
“I was helping Daddy with some things earlier and I saw your Mommy taking him to the infirmary but Daddy wouldn’t let me ask them what was wrong.
” Sadie rolled her eyes. “He got on to me about being ‘nosy’ but I just worry about my friends.”
As far as Kylie knew, Danny had even less contact with Sadie than Kylie did, but Sadie pretty much considered everyone her friend. “He wasn’t feeling well this morning. Um, but how did you know Professor Renard is our Mommy?”
“Oh, everyone knows,” Sadie replied breezily. “You know how it is on the Ranch. Nobody can keep a secret to save their lives. And now that you’re out as a Little, you can come play with us!”
“Maybe.” Kylie forced a smile. “Listen, I need to grab something to eat and then head back to class. I’ll see you around.”
“See you! And give Danny my best!”
“Sure thing.” With that, Kylie turned and hurried back toward the doors that led outside, and straight across the sprawling Ranch to the University buildings.
Somehow, she managed to keep the panic beating at her chest under wraps until she made it to her Mommy’s classroom.
Her Mommy’s completely empty classroom.
Fuck.
Pulling her phone from her backpack, she checked Addison’s schedule. Twenty minutes to her next class, which meant her Mommy would be there any minute.
As she waited, she paced, her movements becoming more frantic with every lap from one end of the classroom to the other.
“Kylie?”
Whipping around at the sound of her Mommy’s voice, Kylie rushed toward her and Danny, throwing her arms around her best friend’s neck. “Danny! Sadie said you were in the infirmary earlier and I was so worried! Are you okay? What’s wrong? Are you sick?”
“Ah… no, Ky, I’m not sick. I’m okay, I promise.”
Pulling back, Kylie wiped at the tears streaming from her eyes. “Why did you go to the infirmary, then? Are you sure you’re okay?”
Mommy and Danny shared a look, with the former raising a brow and jerking her head toward Kylie. “Go on, Daniel. Tell your sister the truth.”
Nerves danced in Kylie’s stomach. “The truth? What truth?”
Suddenly looking more Little than she’d ever seen him, Danny looked down at the floor, his cheeks reddening as he shifted from foot to foot. “Um, the thing is, I sort of… lied about being sick.”
Nothing, absolutely nothing he could have said would have shocked her more. “You lied? To me?”
“Yeah.” Lifting his head, he sent her a pleading look. “I’m really, really sorry, Ky. I was just nervous about letting Mommy plug me, and it seemed easier to fake being sick instead of talking to her about it. But I shouldn’t have worried you and I’m so sorry.”
Now that she was over the shock, anger was beginning to worm its way in, burning away the worry she’d been wrestling with all day. “That was a dirty, dirty trick! I hope Mommy spanks you every day for a month!”
“Kylie.” Mommy broke in, her voice soft and soothing. “Danny’s been punished, and he apologized. What’s the polite thing to do when someone apologizes?”
“I don’t care about being polite.” Spinning around, she snatched up her bookbag and shot Danny a glare.
“I was worried about you all morning, and when Sadie said she saw you in the infirmary, I thought I was gonna die, I was so scared. And it was all a lie! I hate you, Daniel Hollis, and I never want to speak to you again!”
Tears blurred her vision as she marched from the room out into the hallway. Ignoring Danny’s shouts for her to come back, she walked as fast as she could without getting in trouble for running and headed straight for her sanctuary.
The library.
Making a beeline for the romance section, she threw herself down onto one of the beanbag chairs and let the tears come.
It didn’t matter just then that maybe she was overreacting and maybe she shouldn’t have said the things she did.
Her heart hurt, more than it ever had in her whole life, and she just wanted to be mad about it for a while.
She wasn’t sure how long she was there before someone else joined her, settling into the beanbag chair beside her.
“Wanna talk about it?” Eliza asked quietly.
“No. Boys are stupid.”
Her other bestie’s tinkling laugh seemed to echo in the silent library. “That, they are. What did Danny do?”
“He lied to me.”
“Danny?” Surprise colored Eliza’s tone. “About what?”
“He faked being sick so he could play hooky and I felt so bad for him all day! I was so worried! And then Sadie told me she saw him and Mommy in the infirmary and I freaked out thinking he was like, dying or something, but the only thing wrong with him is that he’s a liar, liar, pants on fire.”
“That jerk.”
The simple, easy agreement loosened the knots in Kylie’s stomach and she even managed a weak laugh. “He really is. But I was kind of a jerk back to him.”
“Uh-oh. What did you do?”
“I told him I hated him and I never want to speak to him again.”
She snuck a peak over at Eliza just in time to see her friend wince. “Oof. You better hope he doesn’t tell your Mommy.”
“She was standing right there when I said it.”
Eliza’s eyes went round as she let out a low whistle. “And you’re able to sit comfortably?”
“Yeah, I sorta ran off right after that.” Groaning, Kylie let her head fall back against the bookcase. “I’m gonna be in so much trouble.”
“Probably. So if you’re gonna be in trouble anyway, we should go get some ice cream. Sugar makes everything better.”
It was tempting, so tempting. But… “I shouldn’t. I’m going to be in enough trouble, I don’t want to make it worse.”
“Suit yourself. You want me to walk you back to your Mommy’s classroom?”
“In a minute. I wanna check out some books, first.”
“You’ve read everything in this library, twice.”
“Sometimes they have new books!”
They did indeed have two new books from her favorite “guilty pleasure” author, Sadie Minx, so she checked those out along with the first four books of the series so she could reread the whole series together.
With her new finds tucked safely away in her bookbag, she walked with Eliza back to her Mommy’s classroom, the rock in her stomach growing heavier with every step.
By the time they made it back to the room, Addison’s last class of the day was letting out. She and Eliza waited outside for everyone to file out before Eliza hugged her hard and reminded her she was just a phone call away if Kylie needed anything.
She did poke her head in the classroom long enough to stick her tongue out at Danny before tilting her nose in the air and flouncing off back to the library, where she would have to wait another hour or so for her own Daddy to finish his classes for the day.
Silence filled the classroom as Kylie managed to look everywhere but at the two people in front of her.
“Look at me, please, Kylie Anne.”
It took all her courage but she managed to force her gaze to her Mommy’s. “Yeah?”
Both of Mommy’s brows raised toward her hairline. “Is that how you answer me, little girl?”
Shame heated her cheeks. No matter how mad she was, there was no excuse for being rude. “No, Mommy.”
“That’s better. Now, are you ready to apologize to your brother for that outburst?”
She should. She knew she should because she’d said some awful things she didn’t even mean. But she was still just so mad. “No, Mommy.”
Sighing, Mommy shook her head. “All right. Let’s go home and we can talk about it there.”
Addison
Being a Mommy was a lot of work with one Little. She’d wildly underestimated how much work two Littles would be.
Stepping into her apartment, she pointed at the couch. “Take all your clothes off, both of you, and fold them neatly on the couch.”
Both her Little ones stared at her. “Why?” Kylie asked, her tone dripping with attitude.
Temper sparked in her chest, but she swallowed it back. “Because I said so, little girl. And because you don’t want to find out what Mommy’s belt feels like across your bare bottom.”
Kylie’s eyes went wide and Addison swore she heard her audibly gulp. “Yes, Mommy.”
“I’m going to get some things from my bedroom. By the time I come back out here, I expect to find you both naked and standing beside the couch.”
Trusting they’d obey, she turned on her heel and headed for her room to find her play bag. She pulled out a few lengths of silken rope, along with a heavy wooden paddle just in case they decided to test her.
Luckily for both of them, they were indeed naked and standing beside the couch when she returned, though it was clear Kylie was very deliberately standing as far from Danny as she thought she could get away with.
That wouldn’t last long.
“Daniel, please have a seat on the couch.”
He flashed her an uncertain look, but he obeyed. Her babygirl watched warily as Addison approached, slowly unraveling the first length of rope.
“Have either of you heard of a ‘get along shirt’?”
They glanced at each other, then back at her, both of them shaking their heads.
“It’s a concept I once saw online. A parent takes one of their shirts and puts it on two of their children at the same time.
So they’re forced to, as the name implies, get along because they’re stuck together until they can play nicely.
” She let her lips curve. “We’re going to do something similar.
Kylie, straddle Daniel’s lap facing him, please. ”
Nose wrinkling, Kylie shook her head. “Don’t wanna.”
“Would you prefer a paddling?”
“No, Mommy.”
“Then do as you’re told. My patience is running thin, little girl.”
With one last pleading look, which Addison pointedly ignored, Kylie sighed and moved into position, one knee on either side of Danny, hovering over his half-erect cock.
“Lower, Kylie Anne.”
Another sigh, this one distinctly more aggravated as she lowered herself onto Danny’s cock.
“Good girl. Daniel, wrap your arms around Kylie and lean forward a bit.”
“Sorry, Ky,” Danny muttered as he followed the instructions he was given, sliding his arms around Kylie’s waist as he leaned forward.
Stepping behind the couch, Addison slid the rope between his bare skin and the cushions.
Some of her annoyance slipped away as she worked, weaving the ropes together in the intricate patterns she’d learned over the years.
Her Little ones didn’t speak, but she watched as the tension drained from both their shoulders as well with every glide of the rope along their skin.
Blue and pink ropes crisscrossed over their backs, wound around their wrists, binding them together so completely she could have left the apartment entirely and been assured they would be forced to stay right where they were.
Not that she would, of course, as that would be beyond dangerous and irresponsible of her.
But she could and they wouldn’t be able to move so much as a muscle.
Satisfied with their bindings, she pulled one of the kitchen chairs into the living room and sat facing them. “All right, my naughty little loves. Let’s talk about today.”
