Chapter 12
Chapter Twelve
When the bears left, Amber was grateful that her Daddy let her go inside with the rest of the women. She wanted to spend some time getting to know them even though she also wanted to go home.
The Daddies all stayed outside, each of them giving out warnings about behavior and spankings before they let the Littles depart.
She knew Isaac wasn’t fond of this idea.
His brow was furrowed. In addition he’d specifically told her he wouldn’t let her out of his sight while they were here.
But he needed to be flexible. They both did.
This was important. Spending some time with the other women could prove crucial at some point in the future.
Plus, Isaac needed to focus on his meeting with the other Alpha Protectors.
He couldn’t do that as easily with Amber nearby.
The eight women headed for the kitchen where Suzette pulled out juice and snacks, items Brock had arranged ahead of time.
Instead of sitting around the table as Amber expected, they all started plopping down on the floor in a tight circle.
Rylee patted the spot next to her. She must have noted Amber’s confusion because she addressed it.
“We always sit on the floor just in case Khloe ends up having a vision. They zap the life out of her and disorient her so badly she might fall and hit her head.”
“Oh.” Amber winced. “I’m sorry. I hadn’t thought of that. That sucks.”
Leah helped Khloe sit on the other side of Amber before dropping down next to her. She leaned around to speak to Amber. “One of us always helps her whenever she’s on two feet so she doesn’t fall.”
“Good idea. We all need help sometimes,” Amber said, trying to be supportive.
Olivia sighed. “And someone always helps me because I tend to run into things when I’m not in my own home since I can’t see in my human form. That’s why I stayed shifted when you first arrived, so I would know what you look like.”
Amber looked around the room at the women who would be her lifelong friends. “You are all so kind. I feel so lucky.”
Molly held up a hand. “Oh, and while we’re revealing stuff, we might as well just flat out tell you that yes, we all wear diapers sometimes, but Olivia, Khloe, and I almost always do.
For Olivia it’s a pain to find a bathroom and deal with it.
For Khloe, she tends to lose control of her body when she has a vision.
And for me I just got used to it while I was in a saferoom before Daddy insulated the entire house. It’s just easier.” She shrugged.
Amber smiled at her. “Thanks for filling me in. Being diapered is still really strange to me. I feel better knowing I’m not alone.”
Rylee squeezed her hand. “No matter what you experience, you can rest assured all of us go through the same thing to one degree or another.”
Amber glanced at Molly. “But if there’s anything I do that’s outside the norm, you would know, right?” she hedged as she reached up to rub the spot on her neck where her Daddy had sunk his teeth into her.
Molly shrugged. “Sure. Maybe. If I happened to pay attention. Most of the time, I don’t listen to anyone. I stay in my insulated house and only open myself up to other people’s conversations when Khloe has a vision and Felix calls my Daddy to tell him I need to listen to something.”
Rylee hip-checked Amber. “Are you saying you think your life is different from anyone else’s?
” she teased. “Because I seriously doubt it. If you’re worried about the amount of sex you have, don’t be.
We all had sex night and day for weeks. You’ve only been mated one week.
I don’t know how you can even stand being here with us.
I think I would have lost my marbles if we’d ventured out for this long after only one week. ”
“She’s right,” Molly agreed, “but to answer your question, I would never tell a soul about anyone’s private life if I happened to accidentally hear something.”
Amber’s cheeks heated. She didn’t want to tell everyone how naughty she was. It was too embarrassing, and she’d told her Daddy she wouldn’t share that detail.
Rylee giggled. “Is this about the bite mark on your neck? Because the only person you’re hiding that from is Olivia, and she probably saw it before she shifted.”
Amber’s face grew hotter. She licked her lips. “Does anyone else’s Daddy like to mark them?” she asked quietly.
When no one readily responded, Amber buried her face in her hands.
Rylee hugged her from the side. “Hey, we all have different kinky things we do. Maybe no one else wants to admit their Daddy gives them hickeys. Maybe no one else’s are visible, and Isaac likes everyone to see the evidence of his dominance.
You don’t know that we don’t all have teeth marks on our inner thighs,” she teased lightly. “No one is judging you.”
Amber took a deep breath and lowered her hands.
Rylee was right. She had no reason to be worried or embarrassed.
Everyone in this circle had an Alpha Protector for a mate.
They all regularly got their bottoms spanked.
Many of them did very unusual things to ensure their Daddies punished them.
She shouldn’t be concerned about anyone hearing or scenting her private life.
Rylee swatted at her knee playfully. “I don’t know what you’re worried about.
Molly might be able to listen in on your sexcapades if she happens to be outside without earplugs while you’re doing it loud enough to shake the rafters.
That’s nothing. The rest of us have to worry about you watching all of us get banged,” she joked.
Amber’s eyes went wide as she looked around the room. “I would never do that. I promise.”
Jezebel giggled. “We believe you, but the fact remains that you could watch. We would never know.”
Amber winced. “Trust me. I wouldn’t. The first day Daddy took me outside to find out what I could see and how far, I accidentally ended up seeing the beginning of some sexy time between two bears.
I was so mortified that I wanted to burn my eyes out.
They weren’t even naked yet. They were just engaging in foreplay, plus they’ll never know I saw them.
I don’t even know who they are. But I was still embarrassed from almost catching them.
” Amber shuddered. The memory still freaked her out.
Watching other people have sex was not something she wanted to accidentally see.
Everyone laughed.
“That’s such a cool power, though,” Suzette said.
“At least you know what you can do. I thought I would pass out yesterday when I realized I was having other people’s memories forced on me.
Talk about sex. What if I touch a log or something and find out two people did the deed there?
I wouldn’t even be able to stop the odd memory from bombarding me. At least you can look away.”
Amber winced. Suzette was right.
Jezebel was next to her and wrapped an arm around her.
“Can I just say that I’m now in a total panic because every one of you has developed some sort of power but me.
At least before it was me and Suzette. I assumed it simply hadn’t started until Olivia.
Now I’m going to be looking over my shoulder all the time, wondering if I have a superpower and what it might be.
Why hasn’t Fate revealed mine yet? Or worse.
What if I don’t have one? I’ll feel so strange around all of you for the rest of forever. ”
Suzette hugged her friend. “Whatever happens or doesn’t happen, it’s not under your control. And if you want to trade, I’ll happily give you my weird power of touch.”
Amber giggled. “Yeah, that one might be the most invasive. I can look away if I see something I don’t want to see. Molly can cover her ears. I can’t imagine how I would feel if I was forced to watch something I didn’t want to see, like sex or…” She stopped herself from finishing that statement.
It didn’t matter, though, because Suzette finished it for her. “Yeah… A murder.”
“Is it a picture you see?” Jezebel asked. “Or like a little movie?”
Suzette shook her head. “Luckily so far it’s been a snapshot.”
Leah sighed. “The dreams are not a snapshot. And I’d rather not witness sex or murder either. What would I even do with that? The responsibility would be tremendous.”
“What dreams have you had?” Amber asked. She hadn’t gotten as much information about Leah as she had the others, mostly because Isaac didn’t know as much since the dreams began recently.
“In the first one, Drow escaped the cage he’s being kept in. In the second one, people I didn’t know were having a heated conversation. Six of them. I couldn’t hear what they were saying. I don’t think I get volume. Just reels.”
“Do you think those people were lions?” Olivia asked.
Leah shrugged. “Maybe, but they could also have been bears. I’ve only seen two of the bears. It could have been others. Or even another species or wolves in another valley. Anything is possible.”
Khloe wrapped an arm around Leah and hugged her close. “Tell them about the third dream.”
Leah glanced around. “Keep in mind, I don’t even know if these dreams are a gift or not. Maybe I’m just having dreams.”
“But they’re so vivid and distinct,” Khloe reminded her.
“Yeah. They don’t feel normal to me, but I’m trying not to read too much into them.
No need to panic people over something I can’t explain.
I don’t even know if they’re past, present, or future.
The vision I had of Drow could have been from the first time he escaped confinement.
Those men might have met two years ago, two days ago, or weeks from now. ”
“And the third dream…?” Olivia reminded her.
Leah took a deep breath and shifted her attention to Jezebel.
“The third one has all of us together. Jayce’s mate is with us, too.
At least I assume it’s her. Which means that one is in the future for sure.
We’re all standing in the clearing in front of my house holding hands,” she said at a near whisper.
Everyone remained silent for long seconds. Finally it was Jezebel who broke the spell. She glanced at Amber. “Is it true that Jayce’s mate is already having some sort of visions even before their claiming ceremony?”
Amber nodded and caught them all up on the things she’d learned from Sienna. “I don’t envy her,” Amber added at the end. “She’s stuck fretting and worrying until her mating ceremony. At least after she gets here, we can all reassure her she’s not alone.”
Rylee winced. “Yeah, that would be hard. I can’t imagine how lonely she must feel.”
Amber sighed. “When I last saw her, she hadn’t told anyone besides me. She only came to me because she was scared and wanted to know if I’d had visions, too.”
“I wonder how hers are different from my dreams or Suzette’s visions,” Leah mused.
“As far as I could tell, hers are more like actively sitting in a room with any of us except there’s no sound. She’s not asleep when she has them. She doesn’t have to touch anything. They just come and take over her mind while they play out.”
Suddenly Khloe slumped to the side and then onto her back.
Luckily Leah caught her in time to keep her from hitting her head. “Someone get Felix,” she shouted.
Amber jumped up and rushed to the front door, heart racing. She yanked it open. All the men were gathered in the clearing, and all eight sets of eyes swung toward her. “It’s Khloe,” she called out.
