As the smoke began to rise from the front of Emily’s car, she felt her heart sinking. This wasn’t how things were meant to be.
She felt as though she had planned for every single possible eventuality. She’d been looking forward to this trip for a long time now, and she was sure that she had got everything ready. She had made extensive lists, planned everything out, bought everything that she thought she could possibly need, and it had seemed as though nothing could go wrong.
The only thing that she had been slightly worried about was the weather. Of course, there was nothing that she could do about that, and so it was something that had been causing her some concern.
As the date for her trip had drawn closer, however, it had seemed as though she would have nothing to worry about. Every single forecast that she checked - and she had checked quite a few, just to be sure - was promising great weather. Nevertheless, she had still been somewhat worried.
On the day that she was to leave, though, she had looked out of her own window and seen perfect, clear, blue skies. She knew that the town she was visiting was still a few hours’ drive away, however, and so she had checked the local webcams. It seemed as though the conditions there were just as good as they were at home.
Excited, she had set off.
She had been planning this trip for a while. At twenty-two years old, she had never gone on a trip like this on her own. She’d gone on vacations with her family when she was younger, and then there had been a few road trips with friends when she got slightly older. But the idea of going away all on her own was something that had always appealed to her, but it was also something that she had never had the chance to do before. Now, however, she had decided that it was time to make it happen.
Plenty of her friends had told her that she was crazy.
“You’re going off to stay in some cabin in the woods?” one of them had asked her dubiously, “You know, I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen plenty of horror movies that start out like that.”
Another friend had been doubtful for different reasons.
“Wouldn’t you rather go somewhere a bit more lively?” they had asked her, “You know, somewhere that’s got some hot guys, some cool bars, that sort of thing?”
But the truth was that Emily liked the idea of peace and quiet.
She liked to go out partying with her friends as well, but she could go on holiday with them some other time, and do all of those things. No, this trip was for her, and for her alone. She would just smile at her friends, knowing that there was no point trying to make them understand.
It had all seemed as though it was going well - until her car had decided to die on her.
She had felt the power fading for a while. She had considered calling a garage for help, worrying that she might make matters worse if she tried to keep driving with the car misbehaving like this.
However, when she looked at her phone, she was dismayed to see that she had no signal.
She looked at the forest all around her, and her friend’s dire warning about horror movies rang in her ears. She told herself that it was still early in the day, and she didn’t have anything to worry about just yet. It wasn’t as though she was going to get lost in the forest in the middle of the night.
However, when her car had given up, she had started to wonder if that might, in fact, be a possibility.
As she pulled over to the side of the road, she tried to remember the last time she had seen another car on this road, trying to work out what her chances were looking like for getting rescued by some kind stranger.
She couldn’t remember seeing anyone for a long time - since she had taken the last turning, in fact, which made her think that no one ever really came this way.
She sighed to herself and got out of her car, popping the hood so that she could have a look.
She didn’t actually know much about cars at all - and certainly not about their engines - but she was holding onto a vain hope that maybe there would be something obvious that she could fix herself. Perhaps there would be some loose connection and she could just tighten something up, or plug something back in, and that would be enough to get her where she needed to go.
Unfortunately, there was nothing like that. She stared at the engine helplessly, practically willing it to give up its secrets to her. But, except for the occasional ticking noise, the engine remained silent. There didn’t seem to be any answers there.
The day was starting to warm up. At least she wouldn't be cold, she thought to herself. She was wearing cut-off denim shorts and a tank top that clung to her body. Comfortable clothes for a road trip, but maybe not for being stranded in if the weather changes suddenly.
Emily wasn’t sure what to do, and so she climbed back into the driver’s seat to think things through.
She picked up her phone again and saw that there was still no signal.
She threw the phone back into the passenger seat, disgusted and annoyed.
She leaned back in the seat, looking up and questioning how she had gotten herself into this situation. She had been so sure that she had everything planned out, and now it all seemed to have fallen apart.
She was angry and stressed out, but she still allowed herself a little smile.
Her friends always thought that she organized things too much, that she was too cautious. Imagine if they could see her now. They’d certainly find the situation quite amusing.
However, Emily also knew that her friends were not completely correct about her. While there was certainly that side to her, there was also another side to her - a wild and reckless side, a side that liked to cut free and have fun, to risk getting into trouble and just enjoy the ride.
Some of the things that she had got up to were known to her friends, and they would marvel at her behaving “out of character” before seemingly forgetting about these things the next time that she did something similar.
Other things, however, were not known to them. There were certain things that she kept secret - memories that she guarded closely, thinking about them every now and again and smiling to herself.
As she was heading away on a trip on her own now, it seemed appropriate to think back on a trip that she had taken with her friends a while ago. It had been a very different type of trip, and she’d found herself having plenty of fun while she was there.
It was the start of summer, and already hot. They had all spontaneously decided that they wanted to go to the beach for a few days.
They booked a cheap hotel and flew down, excited for what the evening had in store.
They had found themselves at a beach party shortly after arriving, all of them dancing in their bikinis and having fun. Emily looked at her friends, at the way that they grabbed hold of any guy who took their fancy and pulled them in close to dance with them, grinding up against them.
She liked to be a bit more subtle about the things that she did. There had been more than a few guys checking her out, and she had pretended that she hadn't noticed their attentions.
She was used to guys looking at her like that, and it didn’t really bother her. She knew that plenty of them liked what they saw when they looked at her.
She was tall and slim, with a toned body. She had long, shapely, legs, a tight ass, taut abs that led up to the swell of her large breasts.
She had long, blonde hair, big, blue eyes, dull lips, and features that complemented one another perfectly. She had long lashes and a small nose. She looked fantastic in the bikini that she was wearing, her soft skin exciting the imaginations of the men who passed her by.
She knew that if she wanted a guy, then she would be able to find one for herself. But she wanted to find just the right guy. Suddenly, she felt excited. The idea of the hunt for the perfect guy was making her feel aroused, alive to all of the possibilities that the day presented.
She looked around and caught sight of a guy leaning against the bar, looking over at her. She hadn’t expected to spot the right guy so quickly. She had high standards, and this guy seemed to fit the bill perfectly.
He was wearing shorts and a shirt. His shirt was loose, but it was still obvious that he had a great physique, with broad shoulders and good muscle tone. He was also very, very handsome. He was deeply tanned with slightly unkempt sandy-blonde hair.
His eyes were a deep green, and his face was handsome. She thought that he looked like the stereotype of a surfer, and the idea only seemed to turn her on even more.
Their eyes met, and she held his gaze for a moment. Then, she looked away.
When she looked back, he was coming toward her, and she felt her excitement grow.
Then, he was there beside her. He looked even more handsome up close like this. She liked what she was seeing, and the way that he was looking at her told her that she was going to get what she wanted from him.
“Hi,” he said, “my name is Rob.”
“Hi, Rob,” she replied, “I’m Emily.”
They made small talk for a while, but they both knew that this was just a preamble to other things. They both knew just where this was going.
Soon, Rob asked her if she’d like to go somewhere a bit more private.
“Absolutely,” she said quickly, and they both laughed slightly.
She had brought a pair of denim hot pants with her, which she pulled on. They then walked back to the hotel where Rob was staying.
