Chapter 10
Ten
My lengthy stay in the bathroom was thanks to me cracking the door to let them steam out. If I hadn’t my hair wouldn’t have survived and neither would I. When I was satisfied with the completion of my nightly routine, I pulled the plush robe tighter around my body and stepped into the bedroom.
Parch, I was well aware that the kitchen was my next stop. It felt like I’d swallowed sandpaper that I’d been chewing on all day. The dryness that haunted me had me taking double steps through the loft to lessen the time it took to get to the kitchen area. But, before I was able to make it, the dark, daunting figure halted my stride.
“Oh my God!” I held my aching chest, panic rising and then settling upon further investigation, “You scared me.”
“I apologize,” Bello calmly stated. He leaned forward and sat the glass he was drinking from on the table to the side of him. Slowly, he rose from the couch he’d been sitting on.
“What… What are you doing here?”
“You told me you’d like to see me again, and from this point on your wish is my command.”
Quickly I’d forgotten the request I’d even made over the phone. In recalling it, I also remembered he’d hung up the phone in my face. That still didn’t sit well with me.
“You hung up on me,” I reminded him, “I didn’t like that. It made those thoughts reappear.”
I wasn’t sure if my confidence had stemmed from him revealing that my wish was his command, him rushing to see me at my request, the effort he’d put into making my birthday special, or the fact that I was in his home in his robe. Whatever the case was, I was thankful. For once, silence wasn’t my only response, and taking losses from this point on didn’t feel so necessary. At least not with Bello.
“I apologize. It won’t happen again. There was simply nothing more to say after you requested my presence. And, admittedly, I was eager to meet your acquaintance after so long.”
“It feels like it’s been forever,” I admitted.
“And, a day,” he responded, nearing me as he spoke.
Once in front of me, I stared up into those dark eyes. My heart smiled. The adoration that I saw within them all those nights ago had returned. Unlike the time I’d run into him at the Frank’s, when there was nothing to even see because he wouldn’t allow it. Tonight, however, he didn’t shield them from me or leave me wondering if there was anything there. Everything was right there in the dark rounds that gazed back at me.
“I’m going to hug you, Brisk,” he notified me before stepping into my personal space and wrapping his arms around me.
I returned the gesture, heart galloping in my chest as I felt my feet rise from the floor and dangle in the air. His thick frame engulfed me, leaving me with no other choice but to wrap my legs around his torso. The closeness carved holes in my heart and refilled them with pieces of him to avoid bleeding out.
I was satisfied with the temporary fillers as long as they promised to stick around for a while. The moisture between my legs wasn’t to be mistaken for the leadway to mother nature, but it was, in fact, ovulation sliminess in conjunction with my arousal. I clenched my walls before releasing them in hopes of relieving the thudding, but it made matters worse. Instead, the sliminess oozed down my thighs.
“I feel like I’ve missed you,” his words saved me from my thoughts.
“Maybe you have,” I agreed, “Because I feel the same way, too,” I assured him, hoping he would never let me go. This felt too good, being in his arms.
“I don’t want to let go,” he confessed, reading my mind, again.
“I don’t want you to,” I agreed a second time.
“But, I must.”
“Why?” I pouted.
“Because I have plans for you… for us. That can’t happen if we stand here holding one another,” he chuckled.
“What’s so wrong with this?”
“Nothing. Absolutely nothing, but… I made plans,” he stressed.
“Okay,” I unwillingly climbed down him like a tree and started for the bathroom to clean up the mess he’d made of me.
“Come ‘er,” he pleaded, sounding as pathetic as I looked with my head hung.
He caught me by three fingers, our skin rejoicing after joining again. I walked backward as he led me back to the couch where he took a seat again. He proceeded to widen his legs until the space between them was large enough for me to fit. Then, he pulled me close again, staring up at me with remorseful eyes.
“What’s with the long face?” He asked.
“Nothing. It’s just that now that you’re here, I don’t think I want to go anywhere,” I revealed.
“We can’t stay here,” he stated as a matter of fact.
“Why not?”
“Because I’m not a man of great self-control, and being here with you will make me lose every bit of that shit. So, before I take it there… take you there, I’d rather take you out so that you can enjoy the rest of your birthday. Besides, I want to celebrate with you. I kind of feel left out.”
His choice of words piqued my interest as well as solidified our plans for the night. We were indeed going out. It didn’t matter where as long as it wasn’t here. Ending my birthday with Bello sounded like a dream and I was ready to make it reality. Getting to know him was high on my priority list. Plus, I didn’t want him feeling left out, because he wasn’t.
“You don’t have to. I’ve thought about you every day since I met you. Even when I tried not to.”
“Why would you do something like that?”
“Because, when I saw you that night at Melonie’s you didn’t seem interested.”
“We’ve established the fact that I am, so let’s not even discuss that night anymore. I was simply waiting for this day. Now that it’s here nothing else matters.” He spoke as his hands brushed my thighs up and down. His attempt to calm me was cute, but stirring up all types of trouble between my legs.
“I need to get dressed,” I blurted out as I stepped off.
“Look in bag number one. Everything you need for tonight is inside.”
“Where are we going? It’s after ten.”
“I know a place that will stay open as long as I want it to,” he shrugged.
“Okay.”
Just as he’d mentioned, everything I needed for dinner was inside of the first bag in the closet. A silk black dress that dipped in the front and thin straps matched the black bag and shoes that both had YSL logos. The shoe’s heel was actually made from the logo, which was extremely sexy in my opinion. Once I was completely dressed and my hair was presentable, I stepped out of the bedroom to find Bello.
It didn’t take very long. He was resting in the same spot with another drink in his hand as he watched the players run across the screen in an attempt to score a touchdown. As I entered, he hurriedly powered off the television, giving me his undivided attention. A gesture that I was smitten with. At this moment, nothing else mattered but me.
“Sooooo…” I started, waiting for the silence to end and his response to begin.
“Don’t mind me, love. I’m just searching for words worthy of your beauty and keep coming up short,” he shook his head as he stood to his feet. “I’m going to touch you, Brisk,” he warned.
“Bello, why must you announce your moves with me?” I wondered, “I’m not against it, whatever it is you want to do to me.”
“You just seem so… fragile. I want to make sure that I’m clear and so are my moves. But, now that I have your permission, I have no plans of announcing shit anymore.”
“Good,” I smiled.
And, so he touched me. Gently, Bello caressed my cheek with the back of his hand before running it down my chin and then wrapping it around my neck. He hovered over me, breathing labored as he stared down at me. My second set of lips were drenched.
“I like your little ass. Too fucking much, I’m afraid,” he proclaimed. “Please don’t make me regret this shit.”
“I won’t,” I replied, scared to blink and miss even a second of the God that was before me. Like my true savior, I wanted to worship the ground this man walked on.
“Good,” he finalized before leaning forward and brushing his lips against mine.
Hungrily and unashamed, I widened my mouth and sucked half his face in. My sloppiness was overthrown as Bello took control of the somewhat humiliating moment, filling my mouth with his tongue but withholding the teeth. Ok, I got it .
I was a swift learner and was able to catch on rather quickly, then applying everything I’d learned to the moment. My greediness subsided, slowing the pace of our moment. Slowly, our tongues danced with one another as his grip tightened around my neck and my bottom lips drooled, ridiculously.
“We should go,” he pulled back, breathlessly, still holding onto my neck.
“That’s going to leave a mark,” I smiled.
“Sorry,” he apologized, realizing he still had me inside of his palm.
“Where are we headed,” I asked as he released my neck and grabbed my hand to lead me out the door.
“To a friend’s spot. I think you’ll love it.”
Even if I didn’t love the place he’d chosen, I wouldn’t complain because the ride we were in was enough to make my entire night. The Mercedes Maybach was something like a dream. The unlimited features and obvious thoughtfulness put into building the machine were commendable. It was a definite upgrade from my camper.
The smoothness was unmatched and much better than the roughness of the rides I was on daily. I felt every bump and dip in the road. But, even with all its luxury, there was just something about my camper and the security it provided me with that was irreplaceable.
Bello’s side profile was just as immaculate as his face card. I watched from the passenger side as he gripped the wheel with one hand, and rested the other on the armrest. His seat was pushed back so far that I wondered how he looked so comfortable. But, he was. It was obvious from the calm that stalked him.
Even with his closeness, he still seemed so far away. I needed him closer. Canceling the distance between us, I removed my hand from my lap and placed it on the armrest, too. Bello flipped his hand over and exposed his dark palms, inviting mine inside. We interlocked our fingers before he brought the back of my hand to his lips and kissed it. Hadn’t I already been seated, I surely would have fainted this time.
