Epilogue
Jagger
I t had been a few weeks since we discovered Blur, and I kept waiting for the blowback, but none came. I was pissed when Blur kept trying to bargain with us, saying he had news about the Royal Bastard’s National Chapter, but honestly, it wasn’t our business. Not anymore. If they were into something bad, then let karma—or the Madman—deal with them.
Jackie and I hadn’t spent a night apart since we reconciled, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I never knew you could grow to love someone more and more each day, but that was what I had experienced with Jackie. That didn’t mean I was going soft. It just meant she uncovered the softer side of me and it was only for her eyes.
Around the club, I was still the same hard-ass I’d always been. I didn’t allow fighting within the Sin Den, nor did I allow brothers to start fights with each other. If they wanted to throw down, I’d make them square up with me first, and that wasn’t going to change. If they kept being an ass, then I unleashed Animal on them, and that always stopped the problems.
We spent the last few days at the club, giving Jackie a chance to get to know the brothers and their ol’ ladies. Some were wives, some weren’t, but they were all welcoming to her. Tonight, I had something special planned for Jackie, and I hoped she would be okay with me doing it in public.
And get your head out of the toilet. I’d never expose Jackie like that, even if we still hadn’t had sex in a bed since the day I was an ass to her. She and I found our connection outside, in nature, and so far, we managed to find quite a few spots that gave us isolation and privacy while allowing us to connect with each other and the universe.
I didn’t believe all that crap until her, and now, I knew it to be true.
“Are they on the way?” I asked Roughstock as he and Phantom had a drink at the bar.
I’d been pacing for what seemed like an hour, waiting for Jackie, Cheyenne, and Laura to arrive. The club wasn’t busy tonight on purpose, and I was eagerly awaiting my ol’ lady’s arrival.
“Cheyenne said they were on their way now,” Roughstock replied.
Walking up to the bar, I looked at Comet before requesting, “Half-shot of whiskey.”
I wasn’t a nervous man, but tonight, I felt like I was crawling out of my skin. Comet pushed the half-filled shot glass across to me, and I drank it down, feeling the burn radiate through my limbs. Someone clapped me on the back, and I lifted my gaze to see my friend and President standing beside me.
“She’s gonna be over the moon,” Roughstock started. “You’ve got to calm down.”
“What if she says no?” I asked, feeling like a hormonal teenager.
“She’s not going to say no, Linc,” Phantom said. “She’s a good woman.”
The small bank of monitors behind the bar showed all angles of the parking lot, courtesy of Devlin Callahan, and I watched as Cheyenne’s Jeep pulled up to the front of the building. Watching Jackie get out as Laura and Cheyenne climbed out their side, I swallowed hard and waited for them to walk inside.
The music was low on purpose, and when they walked through the front door, letting in a cold blast of air, Cheyenne winked at me as she led the ladies to the bar. Jackie had some makeup on, but truthfully, she was beautiful with or without it. Laura looked nice tonight, and it was good to see her smiling.
“Hey, beautiful,” I said to Jackie. She pressed up beside me and kissed my cheek. “Did you have a good afternoon?”
“I missed you,” she said as I wrapped my arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to me.
Roughstock looked over the ladies’ heads as Comet handed them their drinks and gave me a nod. We’d been waiting for the ladies and for Warhol to arrive before I could do what I’d been wanting to do for weeks.
The ladies toasted themselves and took a swallow of their drinks as I saw Phantom slip into Roughstock’s office and walk out with a box in his hands. He smiled, and I exhaled the worry I’d been plagued with since making the request to our leather smith.
Jackie placed her drink down, and I took that as my opening. I couldn’t wait another minute, so I took her hand and kissed the back. She smiled up at me, and I asked her, “Do you trust me?”
“Of course,” she replied.
Smiling back at her, I began to guide her away from the bar and into the center of the room as the music’s volume was lowered. Jackie looked at me and then around the room at the brothers moving closer, forming a circle around us.
“What’s going on?” she asked quietly, and I took both her hands into mine and kissed them before I answered.
“You swept me off my feet when I wasn’t looking, you know that, right?” I asked. She blushed and gave me a nod. “And you know I’d do anything in the world to make you happy?” Her eyes grew glassy, and I took her cheeks into my hands and kissed her softly before whispering, “Trust me.”
“Always,” she whispered back.
Phantom broke through the circle and handed me the box. I placed it on the table beside us as I spoke out loud to the group.
“I’m laying claim to Jackie Swiftwater and declaring her to be my ol’ lady. She has the full support of the Sinners Revenge behind her, and from this moment forward, she never walks alone again. I’ll lay down my life to protect you, and I profess my allegiance and loyalty to you, here, in front of my brothers.” Tears streaked down her cheeks as I pulled her cut out, allowing her to see the back.
‘Property of Jagger’ was stitched below the Sinners Revenge logo.
“Do you accept my claim on you, and do you accept the protection of the SRMC?”
“I do,” she said through tears.
She spun around, and I slid her cut over her shoulders her before she turned back to me. The need to have her was riding me like a wild stallion needing his mate, and when she practicallyjumped into my arms, wrapping her legs around me as we kissed to the sounds of cheering brothers, I knew our life was going to be one adventure after another.
I ignored the catcalls coming from the brothers and the ladies as I carried Jackie toward the back door, yelling over their cheers, “Turn the fucking cameras off.”
No one would watch us, but I wasn’t going to take the chance. As I was carrying her outside, I saw the red light on the camera mounted at the rear of the building turn off. Marching to where my truck was parked, I managed to get the tailgate open and Jackie’s ass on the gate as she kissed and nibbled down my neck.
“Fuck,” I moaned as her hands slid down my stomach to my belt.
Reaching over, I began to unhook her belt, and she leaned back, looking me in the eye. Her need rivaled mine as I began to unbutton my pants, and she got hers unhooked and pushed down her legs to her ankles. It was cold, but she didn’t seem to mind as I pulled her to the edge of the tailgate and stepped between her spread legs.
Kissing her again, our tongues twirled in a rhythmic dance as I felt the tip of my cock brush against her wet pussy. “Please,” she groaned as I kissed down her neck and her hands wandered across my back.
My woman never needed to beg for my cock, so I flexed my hips, penetrating her and feeling her wet heat surrounding me. “You feel so fucking good,”
“You too,” she managed to say around panted moans and pleasurable grunts.
Pushing her back with my hand in the middle of her chest, I watched as my cock sawed in and out of her while she looked up into the night sky. I knew what she was looking at, and I lifted my eyes to the sky as both our impending orgasms grew to a fantastic crescendo.
“Lincoln,” Jackie panted, and on impulse, I grabbed the front of her shirt and pulled her up to me, needing to kiss her pouty lips.
“Fuck, beautiful, I’m gonna come,” I warned and felt her walls squeeze my cock as she came.
Two more thrusts and I planted myself deep inside her, not wanting to waste a drop. Our warm breaths filled the air around us with little clouds as we basked in the afterglow of our union. But the cold inevitably slipped in, and with reluctance, I pulled out of her and helped her stand to get redressed.
Tucking myself in, I watched as she made sure everything was in place before we made a move back to the bar. As we walked back to the rear door, she smiled up at me, and I remarked, “One day, we really need to consider a bed again.”
She tugged my hand, and I stopped to look at her as she reasoned, “Beds are overrated. I prefer sharing myself with you under the stars.”
I knew wherever we went in life, wherever we lived, Jackie would always be the one to keep me grounded, making sure to keep a connection to our pasts so that we could have a future. I’d learned that we have to understand where we came from to know where we’re going, and it took my precious little warrior to show me that life could be simple and still be full.
And as long as I had her by my side, I knew the future held endless possibilities. We just had to reach for the stars and grab hold.
