Chapter 7 #4

“It was Lindsey. Trick discovered a stack of steamy romance books on her nightstand one night when he was over there. He took a screenshot of some of the titles. When he was alone, he downloaded one to his phone and was shocked to see what kinds of books she liked to read. He found that series particularly enlightening.”

A thousand questions danced through her eyes.

He’d bet just about anything that this subject of conversation wasn’t over yet.

He winked at her and tucked into his food.

The rest of the meal went by quickly. He enjoyed talking to both Sadie and Oliver, and the little boy’s earlier melancholy never made another appearance.

Back at her apartment, he walked them upstairs and waited for her in the living room while she got Oliver set up to take a bath.

He protested because Jed was there, but Sadie reminded him that tomorrow was the last day of school before break, and they were having Christmas parties. “You don’t want to miss that, do you?”

“No,” he grumped.

“Good. Let’s get your bath, and then you need to hit the sack.”

“Okay. Fine. See you later, Jed.” Oliver surprised him when he came over and threw his arms around his legs, giving him a tight squeeze.

He smiled down at the sweet boy, patting his back gently. “See you later, bud.”

By the time she made it back to the living room, Jed had made himself comfortable on her couch and was channel surfing.

“Did you find something to watch?” She took a seat next to him.

“Home Alone. The first one.” He set the remote on the cushion on his other side, then wrapped an arm around Sadie and positioned her so that she was straddling his lap. “Have you ever seen it?”

She tipped her head to the side and arched a brow. “Yes. I’ve seen it a time or two.”

God, he loved her sassy mouth. He smoothed a strand of her long blonde hair behind her shoulder. “How long do you think we have before he finishes his bath?”

“I should get him out in twenty minutes. After that, he turns into a prune, and the water gets cold.” She smoothed her hands down his chest.

“Mmm. Then I'd better make good use of our time.” He ran a finger along her jaw, down her neck, and was moving toward her exposed collarbone from where her sweater hung off her shoulder, causing her to giggle.

“You’re going to make out with me, are you?” A hint of mischief danced across her lips.

If he were a different man, a weaker man, her teasing might bruise his ego. Instead, he tugged at the same strand of hair that found its way back to the front. “You think it’s funny I want to make out with you?”

“I think it’s funny that you said the words ‘make out.’” Her smile was brilliant. It was breathtaking. It made him want to find a way to put a smile just like that on her face every day. And the way those emerald green eyes of hers sparkled made his heart skip a beat.

“Is it funny if I kiss you right here?” His lips lightly touched the side of her neck.

“Or here.” Her eyes drifted closed as his lips touched that spot right below her ear.

His next kiss, in the same place on the opposite side of her neck, caused her to shiver.

“You liked that,” he commented against her neck.

“A lot,” she replied, her voice raspy.

“Good to know. How about here?” He pulled down her sweater and kissed the top swell of her breast, this time earning a soft moan. “Have I told you how much I love this shirt? It gives me lots of easy access.”

“Sadie! I need help washing my hair!” Oliver shouted.

He pulled back, and Sadie slowly opened her eyes. She groaned, frowned, then giggled before dropping her head to his shoulder. It was kind of funny that her nephew was playing the part of a cock blocker. “Go take care of Oliver. We’ll pick up where we left off once you get back.”

“Okay. I’ll be back in a minute.”

He helped her to her feet and watched her disappear down the hall, loving the gentle sway of her hips. He slunk down further in his seat, adjusting his hard cock.

It took about twenty minutes before she returned. She’d taken her boots off and walked across the hardwood floors in her socks. When she got close enough, he snagged her hand and pulled her back down so that she was straddling his legs again. “Is Oliver down?”

“He’s in bed. He’ll be out in no time. Once his head hits the pillow, it’s never long before he passes out.”

“Perfect.” He cupped his hand behind her neck and pulled her down for a kiss. Threading his fingers through her hair, he angled her head a little and dove in for more.

Her moans were so sweet, his cock grew impossibly harder.

Her hands fisted in his shirt like she wanted to pull him closer, but there wasn’t any room left between them.

Her hips began to slowly roll back and forth over his erection, causing him to groan out loud.

“Fuck. Sadie.” He clenched his teeth and closed his eyes as his forehead connected with hers.

“Can I ask you something?”

“Sure.” He gripped her hips, helping her ride his cock. Fuck. They needed to get naked so he could feel his body sinking into her welcoming pussy.

“What is this?”

“What is what?” How could he possibly think when all the blood from his brain had gone straight to his dick?

She pulled back, staring down at him. “What is this between us?” His hands stilled on her hips, suddenly feeling nervous.

“Can’t it just be what it is until it isn’t anymore?”

She studied his gaze for a minute, then replied, “Yes. That’s fine, but at the risk of sounding like one of those women, I need to know that as long as we’re doing this, it’s just the two of us.

I need this to be exclusive. If you’re just adding me to a long list of women you’re currently fucking,” she shrugged. “I can’t do that.”

“If I’m exclusive to you, you’d be exclusive to me, too?”

“Of course, and if at any time either of us decides this isn’t working any longer, we’ll call it quits. No hard feelings.”

The thought of only fucking Sadie wasn’t nearly as scary as he thought it might be as long as she was only fucking him, too.

And he liked the idea that if things didn’t work out or if someone got too clingy, they could just walk away and still be friends.

“Okay. That works for me.” He pulled her deeper into his arms. “Just so you know, there hasn’t been anyone since I started hanging out at Big Dick’s every night. ”
