Epilogue 3
GEORGIE
NINE MONTHS LATER…
“I know I said I’d do my best but this is…”
“Perfect.” I stare down at the cherub faces of the two bundles in my arms. “They’re perfect.”
“They are.” Drew leans over and drops a kiss on my forehead. “So are you.”
“What are we calling them?”
We’ve gone back and forth for a while now— we knew there were two babies on the way but we chose not to know their sex until today. Which is a pain, because the only names we can agree on are for girls.
“What about Harlan and Harvey?”
“After my dad and grandfather?” Tears flood my eyes and immediately roll down my cheeks. Those names weren’t even on our list. “How long have you been thinking of those?”
“A while.” He shrugs. “I just wasn’t sure until now.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too. And them.” His gaze moves to our sons. “What are we going to do with two of them?”
I laugh through my tears. “The same things we’d do with one.”
“Okay, well next time, let’s not be overachievers.”
“Next time?” I gasp. “I’ve only just given birth!”
“We need to fill all those rooms. And these two will probably share.”
I look down at our boys. “Yeah, they’ll probably share.”
Drew cradles my face and turns it toward him. “I know I say it a lot, but thank you for making every one of my dreams come true.”
“Ditto.”
