13. Cassie
Chapter 13
Cassie
I wanted Daddy to stay at home all morning!
Big. Sad. Sigh.
Cassie couldn’t deny her feelings. As proud as she was of Kane serving the city so diligently, she had really wanted him to stay home and continue the fun in the shower.
Things had been heating up.
But now it felt like the time for a cold shower instead.
As she stood underneath the shower and massaged the totally organic raspberry scented shampoo into her blonde locks, Cassie took a moment to get a grip.
Kane really was a hero.
He helped save lives. Countless lives in fact.
He also spent untold hours hacking to prevent the bad guy hackers stealing people’s money and causing total chaos.
If the price of that was the occasional make-out session being put on hold then it wasn’t so bad.
Not really.
Cassie couldn’t help but look down at her nipples and see that they were still rock hard and desperate for Kane’s touch. Oh well. There was always later. Cassie felt sure that after his shift, Kane would be more than ready for a nice relaxing shower.
Or even better, a long soak in the tub!
Cassie couldn’t help but imagine carefully sponging Kane’s broad, muscular back. The soaps suds slowly dripping over his impeccable shoulders and chiseled stomach.
‘Okay, I need to change the subject!’ Cassie laughed out loud to herself. ‘It took long enough for my slitty to stop throbbing just now. I can’t deal with more horniness right now!’
Cassie quickly washed the remaining shampoo out of her hair and hopped out of the shower. Standing on the old stone floor, Cassie quickly stepped onto the thick, brown drying mat and began to towel herself dry.
After taking a swift detour to the bedroom to pick up her stuffie, Bouncer, Cassie walked into the kitchen.
It was time for breakfast.
‘I think we should share a big bowl of Rainbow Crunch. Agree?’ Cassie said, placing Bouncer down on the breakfast table. ‘But you don’t get to have all the pink ones! Okay?’
Cassie laughed and imagined a world where Bouncer could talk back to her.
Inspiration!
OMG, I should totally do that for the comic…
Cassie put her full cereal bowl down on the table and gave Bouncer a big hug. It would be a great idea to have a talking stuffie in her new comic.
Cassie almost couldn’t believe that she hadn’t thought of it before.
It was like the most obvious idea.
But sometimes they were the best.
But before she could note anything down, Cassie had a big bowl of Rainbow Crunch that needed eating. She was hungry too. This was surely a result of the epic sex the night before.
Cassie found herself grinning in between bites as she remembered sitting on each and every one of the dildos. As determined as she had been to do it, Cassie had probably surprised herself by her success.
She was, in truth, quite inexperienced when it came to this kind of sexy fun. Especially when it came to the real down and dirty end of the scale.
But Kane was helping to change that.
And Cassie was loving every new experience. Not only that, but Cassie loved that way that Kane wasn’t judgmental over her lack of experience. Another kind of Daddy might have laughed or teased her.
But not Kane.
There wasn’t an unkind bone in his body.
There was, however, a whole heap of muscle and one epically big dick!
‘It’s probably best you can’t read my mind, Bouncer,’ Cassie chuckled before filling her mouth with another huge spoonful of crunchy, colorful cereal. ‘Then again… that would make a great characteristic for the comic version of you.’
Cassie was feeling inspired.
It turned out that living her best Little life with a great Daddy really suited her. It was like she was able to create and feel totally unself-conscious about it. With Kane there supporting her, there seemed a whole lot less pressure to get everything right all the time.
That was the one downside of having Cassie’s work out in the public forum. She sometimes found it hard to deal with the kind of criticism that could come her way.
That just seemed to be the way things went online.
Everyone was a critic.
And they weren’t afraid to be unkind or cruel either. Keyboard warriors really were the bane of any online creator’s life.
Still, with Kane by her side, these kinds of worries had melted into the background. The fact that Cassie hadn’t been online either may have played a part.
With this in mind, Cassie picked up her round-rim glasses from the table and put them on. She reached over and began opening up the tabs on Kane’s chunky old tablet.
It was time to log on and see exactly what had been going on in the online comic world…
Cassie’s Comics… SUCK! 1* and that’s being GENEROUS.
Yikes. Who writes this? Her stuffie? AVOID.
Crappy comic. Crappy writer. Crappy everything.
‘W-w-w-why are they being so mean?’ Cassie asked, her eyes filling up with tears. ‘Bouncer, who are these people? What have I ever done to them?’
At this moment, Cassie would have given anything for Bouncer to be able to talk. Or even better, she’d have done anything for Kane to be there to provide some reassurance and words of comfort.
But neither option was possible.
Cassie felt dejected.
Alone.
Attacked.
That one of the horrible comments was from a fellow comic creator just made it ten times worse. How could someone else who put their effort into making content be so cruel? It wasn’t like they didn’t understand how much it hurt.
Cassie simply didn’t understand that kind of mentality.
People really can suck sometimes…
Cassie turned the tablet face down. In truth, she wanted to pick it up and throw it out of the window. The sound of it smashing on the street beneath would have been wonderful. But, of course, Cassie couldn’t do that. It wasn’t even her tablet. It was Kane’s.
Cassie also knew that getting angry wasn’t the solution.
It never was.
She felt so sad. Frustrated that people were seemingly making personal attacks on her. Cassie was okay with people not being into her comic. Everyone had things they liked and didn’t like. Cassie was no different.
But it was the vicious nature of the comments that were hurting Cassie the most. She had always been sensitive. Ever since as a kid she’d had to deal with a few difficult stepdads. Not great guys. Not particularly kind or understanding. And definitely not the type of people to hold back when it came to shouting criticisms or dealing out reprimands.
Cassie knew she shouldn’t but decided to go back online to have quick check of her emails.
That’s when it happened.
Cassie entered her login details as usual. Denied.
She tried again. Denied.
‘What… the…these are one hundred percent… my…’
Cassie was locked out of her email. She couldn’t understand it. Her email account contained so many personal details. Information about her banking. Comic book ideas. Thoughts. Screenshots. It was like her all-in-one personal diary and organizer.
This was a total disaster.
Then it dawned on her.
What if this wasn’t a system error. What if she had in fact been hacked? It would certainly make sense of the sudden barrage of negative comments online.
Surely no one would want to do that to her.
Take things that far.
But before Cassie could think another thought, a message popped up on an open tab. It was a direct message to a social media account.
LYLE: HeHe. Your email account is pretty, pretty revealing! Such a shame you won’t be able to access it again. That is, unless you meet my demands. Peace out, loser.
Cassie couldn’t believe it. Lyle was the comic book creator who had left the horrible, catty comment. And now it looked like he was the one who had also hacked Cassie’s email account.
Cassie felt a rising sense of dread.
There was so much personal stuff in her email. The kind of things that were private. Intimate. This wasn’t even taking into account all of the unused ideas that were stored in email drafts.
Lyle would have a field day.
And potentially there was nothing that Cassie could do about it.
This was like a waking nightmare.
Cassie had heard about things like this happening before. Many an online creative had had their careers either stalled or permanently damaged by this kind of thing. And it so often came from petty jealousy or totally uncalled for bitchy behavior.
Was Cassie about to be another statistic?
A once popular creator who was destined to be put in the online trash can for good?
The panic was well and truly setting in.
In that moment, Cassie felt an aching desire for her Daddy to be there to look after her.
Protect her.
Kane would know what to do, Cassie was sure of that.
But with Kane out of the house and with no set time for his return, Cassie realized that she would need to sort this situation out herself.
Making quick decisions had never been a strength of Cassie’s. Or so she’d always been told by teachers and stepdads alike.
Cassie’s form tutor had even joked that if there was a wrong option to be taken, Cassie would find it.
Cassie didn’t want to live up to the people from her past’s low expectations anymore. She wanted to make a choice by herself. And make a good one too.
Cassie just had to do something.
There was no other way of looking at things.
Doing nothing just wasn’t an option.
There was only one thing for it, Cassie would have to message Lyle and arrange to meet.
Lyle had said something about meeting his demands.
That suggested that there was, in theory, a way out of this.
If Lyle simply wanted to crush Cassie in one move, he could have already done that.
That was a slight glimmer of hope.
Something for Cassie to cling on to.
Cassie didn’t dare to think of what Lyle’s demands might entail. But she couldn’t afford to hesitate a second longer.
Cassie needed her email account back in her control.
And if meeting up with Lyle was the way to do it, then so be it.
It didn’t feel good.
In fact, it felt terrible to even contemplate it, let alone go through with it.
But Cassie knew deep down that she only had one option.
There was no alternative.
It was time to face her troll.
But at what cost?
