21. Cassie
Chapter 21
Cassie
I need to do this.
Show Lyle exactly what I’m made of.
But this isn’t even about him, it’s about me…
Cassie stepped forward and took a deep breath to compose herself.
The sight of Lyle sitting on the floor, his body all slouched, was pathetic. Cassie could see Lyle for exactly what he was.
A sad, spiteful loser.
Cassie almost couldn’t believe how much power she had allowed Lyle to hold over her. But that was how these things worked. Lyle hadn’t just taken advantage of her, he had exploited probably countless other people too.
Cassie could see that Lyle was a troubled individual. One who needed help. Professional help too in all likelihood. But that being said, Cassie had to have her say and make it known to Lyle that she would never accept being trolled or bullied again.
For Cassie, this was about personal growth.
‘Lyle, I want you to know this,’ Cassie said, focusing her energy on speaking as clearly and calmly as she could. ‘What you did to me was disgusting. The worst. I like to live my life positively. With color and rainbows and happy thoughts. You tried to take that away from me. But I’m stronger than that now. You will never hurt me like that again.’
Cassie felt her leg trembling.
Adrenalin was pumping all over her body.
It felt good to tell Lyle how she felt. It was like a weight was lifted from Cassie’s shoulders.
But Lyle wasn’t going to simply accept Cassie’s words and accept defeat. Giving in to Kane and Cage was one thing, but Lyle clearly had an issue when it came to Littles.
‘Ha! You talk the talk now. But it was very different when you were naked in front of me!’ Lyle said, his voice sounding as twisted and vengeful as ever. ‘Don’t worry, you’ll be hearing from me again. They can’t keep me offline. I’ll move. Find a new city or town. Then one day, just when you’re least expecting it… I’ll be back.’
Cassie gasped.
This was horrific.
Why was he doing this?
‘Enough is enough,’ Cage said. ‘You’re coming with me. Threats and online harassment are crimes in themselves. I’m taking you down to the station.’
Lyle screamed in anger. He had screwed up, and he knew it all too well. A bad situation for Lyle had just got a whole lot worse.
‘You should have listened to my Daddy,’ Cassie said. ‘He told you it doesn’t have to be like this. You can choose to live your life differently.’
‘Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!’ Lyle wailed as he was dragged away by Cage.
‘If I was you, I’d be the one shutting the hell up right about now,’ Leon said, rolling his eyes. ‘And next time someone turns up at your place telling you that you’ve won a prize draw and you need to come collect the cheque… maybe think twice?’
Leon laughed.
So did Kane and Cage.
Only Leon could have pulled that off.
But like Kane and Cage, he was a true Daddy Dom. Cassie was convinced Leon would find his Forever Little soon enough too. After all, who wouldn’t want a Savior Daddy to look after them?
‘Okay, I think it’s time we headed home,’ Kane said. ‘Of course, where that means is up to you. I meant what I said earlier. I did this for you. No strings attached.’
Cassie felt herself tingle with excitement.
Kane was yet again showing himself to be a good man. Pure of heart and every inch the perfect Forever Daddy.
He was also looking extremely sexy too.
The fact Kane had just saved the day may have played a contributory factor, but he was looking exceedingly handsome in that moment.
‘Daddy, there’s only one place I want to be,’ Cassie said. ‘And that’s at home with you. Where I belong.’
Kane brought Cassie in close to him.
Cassie swooned as she felt Kane’s strong hands gently but firmly grip her svelte waist.
Kane dropped his head and went to kiss Cassie. Lifting herself up onto her tippy-toes, Cassie met Kane’s lips with her own and the pair kissed.
It felt electric.
The chemistry was there, just like it had been before.
If anything, the situation was only making the connection feel stronger. It was irresistible.
Not that she needed it confirming, but Cassie knew for sure in her heart of hearts that Kane was the right Daddy for her. Sure, he wasn’t perfect in every way.
But who was?
Cassie would never have claimed to be perfect herself. Like Kane, she had things she had to work on too. But also like Kane, she had shown growth during this horrible time.
Cassie felt stronger, more resilient.
And a big part of that was down to Kane being there for her. Nurturing her. And of course, punishing her when she was naughty and deserved it.
‘I think they need to get home before things get too steamy!’ Katie said, prompting much laughter from Cage and Leon.
‘Yup, I think you might be right,’ Cage laughed.
But Cassie and Kane were too busy kissing to care what their friends were saying right then.
Even in such a horrible, grimy apartment as Lyle’s, everything felt perfect.
Cassie couldn’t help but notice a tingling and wetness rapidly building in her special place. She blushed as she continued to kiss Kane.
Maybe it was time to go home after all…
Cassie and Kane arrived back home, but instead of jumping right back into a romantic embrace they simply flopped down onto Kane’s huge couch.
The adrenalin of the whole Lyle situation had taken its toll. Fun and games could wait. Now it was time to take a breather and chill.
But Cassie wanted to say something to Kane. Something important.
‘I wanted to ask something,’ Cassie said. ‘And it’s super-important that you answer honestly.’
Kane nodded.
He looked serious, maybe like he was expecting the worst.
But it was Cassie who felt a little bit nervous.
‘Do you think that I’m your Forever Little?’
Cassie’s heart pounded inside her chest. It was thumping so hard, Cassie felt like it might just burst out at any moment.
She so desperately wanted to hear Kane say yes. It was all she had been able to think about on the way home. In truth, it was all Cassie had been thinking about since the first time they met.
On some level, even sub-consciously, she had always wanted it to be true. But the longer Kane went without replying, the more Cassie worried that her feelings might not be fully reciprocated.
‘Daddy?’
‘The answer is yes,’ Kane said, almost roaring with excitement. ‘Of course. The answer is a big, Daddy-Dom yes!’
Kane broke out into a big smile.
But his eyes filled with tears too.
It was an emotional moment for both of them.
‘Now this is where you say I’m your Forever Daddy!’ Kane said.
Cassie laughed and told Kane he was.
Over and over again.
It felt so good to say it.
It was something Cassie felt from deep inside her. The connection between them was real. And now they had both been through so much together, it was a connection that they both knew would stand up to the biggest challenges.
Even in dark moments, of which life would always throw up occasionally, Cassie knew that Kane undeniably had her back.
Just like a Daddy should.
‘Okay I think this calls for a celebration,’ Kane said, springing up from the couch with a natural athleticism that belied his huge frame. ‘I’ll be one second.’
Cassie watched as Kane walked over toward the refrigerator.
Maybe Kane was going to crack open a bottle of champagne? It wasn’t Cassie’s favorite drink, but she’d happily sip a small glass in the spirit of celebration.
But Kane wasn’t bringing champagne over.
No, far from it.
When Kane walked back over, he was holding a multi-colored juice box in one hand and a bottle of low alcohol beer in the other.
‘A light beer, Daddy? Are you sure?’ Cassie asked, aware that low alcohol beers were often the subject of mockery as far as Kane was concerned. ‘I thought they were liking drinking fizzy brown tap water?
‘Hey, enough of the sass, Mister,’ Kane said. ‘Turns out that some of them are actually pretty damned decent. This one has all the great taste and less than one percent alcohol.’
Cassie smiled as they toasted to a new beginning.
It was time to celebrate but celebrate in a way that they both could enjoy.
As they sipped on their drinks and fell back into happily chatting and snuggling, Cassie and Kane watched as the sun began to set outside the window.
With the hard times behind them, it felt like one day was ending and a thousand new dawns were ahead of them.
The city was there’s to explore together.
But before that, there was something else that needed to be done.
Something very important.
‘Well, I think it’s time for me to do what I’ve wanted to do for some time now,’ Kane said, a wicked grin on his face. ‘It’s time for me to show the world just how much I love you. And how well I treat my Little.’
‘Daddy, what do you mean?’ Cassie asked, intrigued.
‘No questions,’ Kane replied gruffly. ‘It’s time for you to do exactly as you’re told. Got it?’
‘Y-y-yes, Daddy,’ Cassie said, the excitement palpable in her voice.
It looked like there was still some life left in this evening.
And Cassie couldn’t wait to find out exactly what it would entail…
