Chapter 13 #4

“I need to feel you come around me. I was too fast, I’m sorry.

I’d like to say I’ll last longer next time, but I doubt that’s true.

Being inside you…feeling how hot and wet you are around me, gripping me as if your life depends on it…

I’m gonna crave it for the rest of my days.

You’ve created a monster, sweetheart. If I could live in your pussy, I would.

Fuck, you’re amazing. So damn beautiful.

I’m the luckiest man in the world. I’ll fucking kill anyone if they ever hurt you.

Come on me, Kara. I want to feel it. That’s it.

Damn, that’s sexy. I can feel your orgasm coming.

Just a little more. Hold still, I’ve got you.

That’s it. Arch your back, show me your tits, sweetheart. Jesus, you’re perfect. Ah, yes…”

She exploded.

Who knew Arrow Porter, seemingly straightlaced helicopter pilot, was such a dirty talker?

She loved every second of it. She felt like a wet noodle when her orgasm abated, and she fell against him with a groan.

His arms went around her and he held her against his chest, not shifting her to the side.

His hands swept up and down her back, caressing gently.

When her heartbeat had gone back down to close to normal, Kara lifted her head and blurted, “I guess this means you like me too?”

She felt his chuckle between her legs as much as she heard it.

“Yeah, sweetheart. I like you too. Have from the second I saw you in that tree.”

“But you haven’t said or done anything.”

“Of course not. After what you’d been through, I would’ve been an asshole to pressure you. You had no place to go, no belongings. I didn’t want you to be with me out of some sense of obligation. I wanted you to choose to be with me because you liked me as much as I liked you.”

“What if I never wanted you that way?”

He winced, then shrugged. “Then we’d be friends.”

Kara put her head back down. She could slide off him and lay at his side, but honestly, she was loving using him as a mattress. And if she moved, his cock would slip out of her. She liked it right where it was.

“That wouldn’t be fair to you though,” she pressed.

“For years, my mom has told me that when I found the person I was meant to spend the rest of my life with, I’d know.

The second I saw you staring up at me from that tree, it hit me.

But I’m not the kind of man who would force a woman to do anything.

If you didn’t feel the same, things wouldn’t work out.

I had to give you the space and time you needed to heal from the trauma you went through. ”

“You thought I was telling you that I’d found someone else I wanted to be with. Earlier tonight, I mean.”

“Yeah,” he admitted.

“And you were going to stand back and protect me as best you could, even if I didn’t choose you.”

“Uh-huh.”

Kara wanted to cry. This man, he was…unbelievable. And all hers. He’d said so himself. “For the record, you’re the one I want to be with. I’d be stupid to give you up for someone else. I’m going to keep you, Arrow Porter.”

In response, Arrow turned his head and kissed her temple gently. “I’m going to keep you too, Kara Guthrie. Thank you for giving me a chance.”

And now he was thanking her for the best sex she’d ever had, and for making her feel safe, and as if she belonged for the first time in her life? Unbelievable.

“Something you should know about sex without a condom…” she said, desperate to change the subject. She was two seconds away from blurting out that she loved him, and this wasn’t the time or place. At least she didn’t think so. “It’s messy. You’re going to be in a wet spot if we don’t move.”

“Don’t care. Don’t want to move. This is the first time I haven’t had to pull out, and I freaking love it.”

“It would be easier if I wasn’t so tall,” Kara said under her breath.

“No way. This is perfect. You’re perfect. I can feel your tits against my chest, feel your heart beating with mine, and our mouths are perfectly aligned.”

“Well, all right then. Don’t blame me if your ass is chafed in the morning from being moist all night.”

“Moist? I thought that was one of those words people hated.”

“How would you know that?”

“I’ve seen the videos on social media.”

For some reason, that made Kara giggle. The thought of this man watching silly videos online was funny. Knowing he watched ones with people bitching about the word moist was actually hilarious.

“Love that,” Arrow said.

“What?”

“The sound of your laughter. It’s the best sound in the world. I hope I can always make you laugh in the future.”

God. This man. “How do you feel about middle-of-the-night sex?” she asked.

He grinned. “I’m a guy, how do you think I feel about it?”

“Just making sure. Because I have a feeling we’ve both created monsters,” she said, echoing his earlier sentiment.

His smile faded, and he brought a hand up to cradle her cheek. “As long as you don’t have any demons, I’m here whenever and for whatever you need, Kara.”

“No demons, Arrow. I promise. This was nothing like before.”

“Okay. But please know I’m not with you for sex. I mean, it’s amazing and I love it, but I can do without if it’s what you need for your mental health.”

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Close your eyes. Rest.”

“Bossy.”

He chuckled, and again, Kara felt it all along and inside her body. Which was amazing.

“You’ve got me wrapped around your little finger, sweetheart. Anything you want, I’ll bend over backward to give to you.”

“All I need is you. And to feel safe.”

“You’ve got me, and I’ll do everything in my power to always make sure you’re safe.”

Kara sighed and closed her eyes. She was exhausted. For the first time in what felt like forever, she didn’t think about Nolan, or whether a night-light was on. She took in the scent of the man under her, the feel of him around her, and how safe she felt in his arms.
