Chapter Eight – Silus
Once we get to my place, I put Thea in a windowless room in the center of my condo and order a pair of men to guard the outside of the door. Should she try to escape, they’re to use whatever force necessary to drag her back into the room. They are not allowed to use lethal force, however. That is their one rule. The room doesn’t have a bed yet, but it will. I’ll see to purchasing everything she’ll need in there before dusk today.
First thing’s first, though, I meet with my brother in my office and tell him what happened, and my story ends with my brother, the ever serious one, laughing.
“You’re saying that girl and her brother, a tiny man who’s barely five feet tall, kidnapped you?” Roark’s still chuckling, even as he speaks. “If the word gets out that you were had by a pair like that, you’ll lose more than just respect.”
“Yes, well, it backfired in their faces.”
Roark leans back in the leather chair he’s sitting in across from me, his hands folded over his stomach. He wears a suit much like me; if there was one thing our father taught us before he passed, it’s that a man is only as good as his clothes. “What’s up with the girl? She’s pretty, young—but why bother keeping her alive?”
“I told you, she’s mine.”
“Okay, so fuck her, kill her, and dump her. It’s what she deserves for kidnapping you.”
Fucking her is definitely on the table, but killing her and dumping her? Hell no. There isn’t a single scenario I would ever let that happen. My brother might not see it now, but he will: there’s so much more to Thea than he could possibly realize. I want to peel back her layers, get under her skin, and find myself a permanent residence there.
When I don’t say anything right away, my brother chuckles again—a record for him. “Shit. I know that look. She intrigues you. She’s here to stay, then, at least for a while, till you get bored.” He’s so confident that I’ll grow tired of her and put a bullet in her. “Are you going to share her, at least?”
A muscle in my jaw tenses. “No. She’s mine.”
Roark shrugs, no skin off his back. “Oh, well. Had to ask. She has that wide-eyed innocence that gets me going.” My brother has a thing about sharing, something I do not share with him, pun not intended. He gets up. “I suppose I’ll leave you to it, then. Good luck. Fuck her hard for me.” He touches his forehead in a mock-salute before leaving my office.
I sit back in my high-backed leather chair and watch him go. We’re as close as brothers could be, the only family either one of us has left. Our mother died when we were children, and our father passed a few years back—lung cancer. Too much smoking. It’s why Roark and I gave it up, so we don’t follow his footsteps to an early, avoidable grave.
With how many people in this city who’d love to kill us themselves, having a cigarette do it just doesn’t have the same finality, nor the same poetic final curtain.
That said, though Roark and I are close, we don’t live together. I’ve got a condo in the center of downtown, while he has a house that’s more like a mansion on the outskirts of the city. We each have our own men, our own businesses, our own friends who help us out with information while we help them with money, but any chance we can work together, we do.
I will not, however, be sharing Thea with him.
It isn’t to say we haven’t done so before. He’s more than happy to share anything of his, and in the past I’ve indulged his tastes by sharing women trying to insert themselves into my life with him, if they were into it.
Thea is different. I don’t want to share her. I want that girl all to myself… but I suppose I can fuck her hard, for my brother’s sake.
I stand and leave my office. I don’t go to her right away; I instead shower and put on a fresh change of clothes. I shave, taking my time in making sure there’s not a hair out of place. It’s only when I’m ready that I tell the men stationed outside the door to her room to leave.
“I’ll take it from here,” I tell them. “Go home.”
The pair of men—Zackary and Anthony—give me a short bow of their heads before leaving. They’ve been with me for years; I trust them as much as I trust anyone under my command. Their loyalty’s never been questioned.
I enter the room and find Thea sitting in the corner in a tight ball, her arms around her knees. The moment I walk in, her head snaps up and her blue eyes widen when they spot me. She’s slow to stand as I shut the door behind me.
“Hello, Thea,” I say with a smile. “Sorry about the… lack of accommodations. I was thinking this could be your room—” I pause as I survey the windowless room. It’s the only room that isn’t furnished, mostly because I’ve never known what to do with it.
But now… let’s just say a part of me wonders if I somehow knew this day would come, like I knew future me would need it.
“I’ll order you furniture. A bed, a dresser, some clothes,” I go on, my hands in my pant pockets as I step closer to where she stands in the corner. “I’ll get you whatever you want, but you should know you won’t be leaving this condo for a long time. Hell, you’ll only leave this room under my supervision… and that includes bathroom breaks.”
Thea swallows hard. “My brother—what are you going to do to him?”
“Once my men catch him, I’ll have him taken somewhere special. Not here, of course. Wouldn’t want you two trying to scheme an escape.”
“Are you… are you going to hurt him?” For someone so feisty, the gravity of the situation she’s in must weigh on her. Thea has difficulty speaking a full sentence without pausing and looking like she’s going to throw up.
I move to stand directly before her, towering over her quite easily. I’m just over a foot taller than her, so it’s an effortless endeavor. “That depends on you, love. If you give me what I want—” I trail the backs of my fingers down along her heart-shaped face. “—I might be more lenient on your brother.”
“And you want sex?” The words are out of her quickly, though she doesn’t pull away from my hand—a good sign.
I chuckle. “Thea, I want it all. Your time, your body… your soul.” The hand I trailed along her jaw falls to her neck, where my fingers curl. It’s all too easy for that slender neck of hers to be swallowed by my hand.
She lets out a soft gasp when I squeeze her neck. Not hard enough to choke, but enough to make her eyelids flutter. She did the same thing at the club, when I pulled her onto my lap and said we better make it believable. I wonder what other sounds she makes…
We lock eyes, and my tall frame looms over her as I whisper, “You will give everything to me. If you don’t, your brother will pay the price. Is that understood?”
She blinks, and I swear I see that delicious defiance resurface just like that. “What if your men don’t catch Max? Then—”
“They’ll get him, even if they have to chase him halfway across the country. They’ll bring him to me, kicking and screaming if that’s what it takes. I warned you, love. I told you that it would be in your best interest to let me go, but you refused. You kept your word to your brother and now you must face the consequences.”
When Thea swallows again I can feel it under my palm since my hand remains around her throat. I do believe the girl is realizing that, no matter how she tries to spin this, she’s stuck. She’s stuck and the only way out is to succumb.
“So, what?” she huffs with a dramatic frown. “I’m supposed to be your sex toy for however long? Why don’t you just kill me?”
“Do you want to die?”
“Well, no, but—”
“That’s what I thought. Besides, I think we both know you’re going to enjoy this repayment as much as I am.” The hand on her throat moves to the side, and my thumb curls over her chin. Her lips part in response. “You’re mine now, and that means I get to do whatever I want with you.”
Thea manages to say, “Asshole.”
“Am I? See, I know it’s not just me. I know your body reacts to mine. Out of everyone in that entire club, you came to me. An invisible string pulled us together, and now that we’re here… we might as well make the most of it.”
“You’re insane,” she whispers with an adorable frown.
I respond by pulling her away from the corner and pushing her flat against a wall—only so I can grind my lower half against her and draw out a breathy moan from her. “And you’re a liar if you think this is one-sided.”
She’s ready to say more, to tell me off again, but I don’t give her the chance to. I bend my top half down the same moment my hand moves to her hair, my fingers weaving through her hair to keep her head steady, so she doesn’t try to turn away from me.
Our lips meet, and it’s over.
It’s over because, deep down, I can feel it in my gut and my cock. Those lips are the same set of lips I kissed in the club, and though I kissed them hard before, this kiss blows the last out of the water completely.
Hard, heated, full of insatiable hunger we both feel deep down, the kiss ignites something in me I haven’t felt in a long time… or maybe forever. A desperate need to take more, to have it all, to devour everything this girl is and spit nothing out, not even her bones.
Her bones, her fucking soul; I said it all belonged to me now, and I fucking meant it.
Truthfully, I don’t know how long the kiss lasts, but I do know it’s a while, a constant tug and pull of our lips, neither one of us wanting it to end. Those lips of hers are the softest fucking things I’ve ever felt, and I genuinely can’t wait until they’re wrapped around my length.
Thea on her knees for me. I can’t fucking wait. The mental image is enough to get me rock-hard, and Thea must feel my hardening cock, because she moans a little harder into the kiss.
Sometimes life gives you what you’re least expecting. I certainly never could have anticipated this. Not Thea, not the kidnapping, not the way I’d need every part of her so shortly after meeting her. Standing back with a logical mind, it should be impossible to crave someone you just met this badly, but logic has nothing to do with it.
This isn’t a place for logic or reason. This isn’t where you should stop and think about what you’re doing. This is when you let your mind shut off and your body take charge, when you give into that dark, primal part you keep tucked away inside of you.
Her lips are like honey on mine, and I can’t get enough. The room around us fades away, ceases to exist, and I am right where I’m meant to be. I might not know this girl that well yet, but we’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other intimately.
By the time I pull my mouth off hers, we’re both panting, completely out of breath. I watch her eyes open into slits, note the way her cheeks are flushed, and the only thing I want to do more than kiss her again is heave her up into my arms and carry her to my bedroom, where I’d fuck her long and hard until she forgets any other man she’s ever been with.
But I don’t. She needs to prove herself to me, first. Thea must show me she’s willing to play ball, so to speak, before I let her on the field.
“Any requests?” I ask her.
All she does is blink up at me, still flustered by the kiss and perhaps with how close my body remains to hers. “Uh… what?” She only mumbles the question once I pull my hand from her hair.
“For your living arrangements. Any requests on furniture style, the color of your sheets, your clothes… if not, I’ll gladly choose.” A wicked undertone laces with the final words, mostly because I start to picture Thea in something ultra-revealing and lacy, something to show off those perky tits sitting beneath her shirt.
Her flustered expression gives way to a frown, and I have my answer.
“Very well.” I pull away from her, though it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my life. The hard rod between my legs doesn’t help much at all. “I will be on the phone, but I’ll be just outside, so if you have the bright idea of trying to run, I’d think twice.”
I start for the door, but she calls out for me a few seconds later, asking, “You’re really just going to leave me in here?”
Glancing back at her, I reply, “Yes. And since I’m getting furniture delivered for you, I’m providing you with a much better space than you did for me when you had me in your home. I look forward to your gratitude.”
Her mouth falls open, but she’s speechless, and I leave the room while smirking to myself. I’ll need to get the furniture delivered tonight, along with clothes for her. One last thing I’ll need is a lock—for the outside of her door. Never know when something like that might come in handy.
This is going to be more fun than I thought.
