Chapter Twenty-Two

Calder

I feel Aiden shiver against me. I’m more amused with his outburst than anything else. However, he also shouldn’t be exerting himself like that. I know he was upset. I get it, and if the tables were turned, I’m sure I would have acted far worse.

“Do you think I should give you another chance,” I growl pressing him further into the wall and a moan escapes his bloody lips.

“I doubt that’s going to help my jealousy,” he mutters. A surprised laugh escapes me before I kiss his throat.

“I’m not upset, Aiden…”

“Could have fooled me,” he grumbles shifting against me again.

“I’m worried. I don’t know what exerting yourself will do to you,” I explain, “I know jealousy is a strong overwhelming emotion. What would have happened if you made yourself sick with how worked up you were getting?”

“I… don’t know,” he mumbles as his arms wrap around my waist, “I didn’t think about that.”

“I know,” I murmur leaning back to look into his eyes so he can see how sincere I am, “I would never think to change you, but I also won’t allow you to hurt yourself either.”

“So… you like me jealous?” I huff out another laugh shaking my head at his silliness.

“I don’t mind it. I actually like watching you hiss at guys like a feral little cat,” I say with a shrug, “but just know that I like you just the way you are, little bat.” His eyes gloss over with emotion as he bites his lip as if to try to keep it all inside.

“You’re perfect, Aiden,” I run my hand through his hair just as a blood-red tear rolls down his cheek.

I lean in kissing away his tears and I feel his hands clench the fabric at the back of my shirt. He quickly buries his face against my chest as if to hide, and I don’t mind being his shelter. I would shield him from anything and everything if he’d let me.

“I’m pretty sure I’m far from perfect, Calder,” he murmurs hoarsely against my chest, “we might need to invest in getting you glasses so you can see better in your old age.”

“Ah, there he is. My little brat,” I huff out pulling him closer to him.

“Trust me, he didn’t go anywhere,” he whispers so quietly that I have to strain my ears to hear him.

The Elevator dings open, and I hitch him up into my arms. He rubs his eyes hiding away all traces of his emotions before grumbling, “Calder, you know I can walk, right? I’m not an invalid.”

“I never said you were, Aiden, but this makes me feel better,” I say with a shrug before walking straight into my penthouse suit.

“Fuck, you really are Daddy Warbucks. I’m still not calling you Daddy though. I mean, I might be inclined to call you sir… maybe.” Aiden begins to ramble as he takes in his surroundings. His wide eyes dart everywhere as I walk us into the bedroom.

“Wait didn’t that guy give you a keycard,” he asks whipping his head to me and then shutting his eyes tightly with a groan, “I really need to stop doing that.”

“You need proper rest,” I grumble setting him down gently in the center of the bed, “and to answer your question, little bat, yes, he gave me a keycard. I used it in the elevator, but I guess you weren’t paying much attention to that, now, were you?”

“I mean, you were the one that pressed me up against the back wall of the elevator,” he says with a small shrug, “it’s not my fault that you’re… you know.” He gestures to me with a wave of his hand and I smirk down at him.

“Hmm, I don’t know. Maybe you should explain it to me,” I murmur before walking to the side of the bed and pulling the blanket back.

He kicks off his shoes and I hear them fall to the ground. Then he slowly crawls under the covers. When his head hits the pillow, he lets out a little sigh, “much better.” I shake my head at his nonsense before rounding the bed to my side. I can feel his eyes following me and I can’t help the small smile.

“I’m not leaving, Aiden,” I murmur as I kick off my own shows and push my pants down my hips. His eyes trail my body and the blanket ruffles as he turns over to watch me fully.

“I’m totally fine with you sleeping in the nude, by the way. Just in case you needed to know,” he rushes out as I pull my shirt off.

“Noted, little troublemaker,” I say before pulling the blanket back and lying down beside him. He lets out a little disappointed sigh and pouts at me when my boxer briefs stay on.

“You didn’t think it was going to be that easy,” I chuckle, “I still have to figure out what to do with you and your little outburst downstairs.”

“But I thought you were over that,” Aiden rushes out as he tries to scoot away from me. My hand grabs him by the hip to keep him in place.

“Mmm, did you now,” I ask, my voice dropping lower, “do you think you don’t deserve a punishment?”

“No,” he squeaks, and I cock my eyebrow at him in question.

I roll his little body until his back is pressed against my chest.

“What are you doing,” he breathes out as he squirms causing my cock to thicken.

“Hold still,” I growl, and he finally stops moving. I slowly run my hand down his side and the only noise in the quiet room is his shallow breaths panting out of him.

“Calder…”

“Yes, Aiden?”

“What’s my punishment,” he asks hesitantly with his body tense like he’s about to spring from the bed at any moment. Instead of answering him, I sweep my hand along the edge of his sweatpants. He lets out a little gasp and his hips thrust forward greedily with his building need.

Grazing the backs of my nails along his flat stomach I smile at the effect I’m having on him.

“Nap time, little bat,” I murmur letting my fingers still against his stomach.

“What,” he nearly shrieks, I press a soft kiss against the back of his neck.

“You heard me,” I say through my smile.

“Clearly, I must have misheard you…” he grabs my hand trying to force it down his pants as he lets out a disgruntled whine.

“Sleep, Aiden,” I murmur pulling my hand away and placing it back on his hip.

“I don’t know how I’m going to manage that now,” he grumbles.

His ragged breaths eventually even out as his body slowly relaxes into me after a while. I can tell he’s asleep or at the very least close to it. Shutting my eyes I bask in the sensation of Aiden’s little body close to mine. I’m halfway to dozing off when I feel his little plump ass press further into me.

“Aiden,” I mumble, but I’m only met with his quiet breaths. I scoot back a little and his body follows mine as he starts grinding his as into me. I sit up on my elbow to peer down at him and realize he’s dead to the world right now. He looks so peaceful in his sleep and yet still so restless.

I lay back down, and the movement starts up again. His body shifted and his hips rotated against mine.

“Fuck,” I whisper hoarsely, “well, that backfired.” A little sweet, muffled moan escapes him, and I grip his hip trying to still his movement. I flip onto my back hoping not to disturb him, but as I put distance between us he lets out the most pitiful sad sound I’ve heard.

Quickly pressing my body back against him the sound stops immediately. I go to pull away once more and he lets out an awful whine. I let out a harsh breath running my hand down my face, but what did I really expect from him? Aiden is a brat by nature. I shouldn’t have expected him to be something else even while sleeping.

This is going to be the most torturous nap in the history of naps, I’m sure of it.
