25. Chapter Twenty-Four
Chapter Twenty-Four
Calder
I didn’t want to get up. I was so comfy lying on top of Aiden’s little body. He fit perfectly beneath me. With a huff, I forced myself to get up once my cock slipped out of Aiden.
“Where are you going,” he whimpers from the loss of our connection.
“I’m just going to grab something to clean us up with,” I murmur.
“Oh,” his little pouty lips part and he looks so adorable with his hair a mess and his eyes half-lidded from exhaustion. I rush to the bathroom to grab a washcloth and wet it under warm water. When I return, I find Aiden drifting off to sleep mumbling incoherently under his breath. A little smile curls his lips, and I stand there like a creep taking him in.
His little body shivers and that gets my ass moving as I climb back onto the bed and gently wipe him do. He makes little sounds of annoyance as he tries to bat my hands away.
“Just let me sleep,” he whines in a barely audible tone.
“I’m almost done I promise,” I murmur as I run the washcloth over his chest. When I’m satisfied, I wrap the blanket around his small body and take the washcloth back to the bathroom.
Little light snores puff out of him when I crawl back into bed with him and suddenly, he’s shifting in his sleep. I throw my leg over his thigh, and he lets out a soft sigh. He presses his face against my neck and then I feel his fangs sink in. And that’s how I fall asleep with my little bat’s fangs buried in my neck and I couldn’t be more content.
Yep, his fangs are still in my neck but it’s him sucking my neck that eventually woke me.
“Are you hungry, Aiden,” I mumble sleepily rubbing the back of my hand against my eyes trying to wake up. He lets out a little hum as he continues to suck on my neck. His hand wraps around my hard length and I jolt with surprise.
“Mmm, I want to wake up like this every morning,” I groan thrusting my hips up into his grasp. Slowly he pulls his fangs from my neck and flicks his tongue over the sensitive flesh.
“Aiden,” I moan out and he lifts his head to look down at me with that little smile of his.
“Yes,” he murmurs and his voice a little raspy from sleep.
“We should probably get ready so we can go check out the castle,” I pant out as he strokes me faster.
He pouts down at me, “But I’m not ready to get out of bed yet.”
“Fuck,” I groan, “are you sore?”
“A little,” he shrugs, and I pull him on top of me focusing on him to release my cock. He lets out a little gasp as I align our cocks together. My hands grip his ass cheeks as I take over his movements grinding myself into him.
“Don’t stop,” he gasps out as his eyes glaze over and I do as I’m told. Thrusting against his little body he moans out his pleasure. It doesn’t take long for us to be falling over the edge. His little panting moans echo in my ears is the highlight of my day and it’s just the morning.
After a quick shower where Aiden refuses to shower alone, we finally manage to be on our way to the castle where I hope we’ll be able to find Dracula.
“You know,” Aiden says as he lolls his head to the side to look over at me, “for some reason I still can’t wrap my mind around how this is supposedly my life now…”
“In a good way or a bad way, little bat,” I ask glancing out of the corner of my eye as I place my hand on his thigh.
“Good way for the most part,” he mumbles, “I could live without being sick.”
We fall into a companionable silence for the rest of the drive to the castle. When we get to our destination I watch in fascination as people mill around the castle grounds. This place seems to attract all kinds of people to it, and it’s quite interesting.
It’s exactly what I would expect a rundown castle in the middle of nowhere to look like. From what I researched about it over the internet it seems the humans turned it into a tourist trap. Personally, I don’t think it’s safe for humans to go stumbling through a crumbling castle, but who am I to judge?
“We’re going to have to wait for the tourists to clear out before we can head inside,” I murmur. Luckily, we got here just before closing time, so we won’t have to wait for long. Aiden squirms in his seat causing me to turn fully towards him.
“Something wrong, little bat?”
“What if we don’t find him,” he whispers, and the worry in his eyes breaks my heart.
“We’ll figure it out, Aiden. Together.”
I know he’s not satisfied with my answer. I’m not even satisfied with my answer, but that’s all I have right now. I wish I could give him more reassurance, but I don’t have any definite answers. I let out a sigh and ran my hand along the top of his thigh.
Once I’m sure everyone has left, I open my car door and circle the front of the SUV to open Aiden’s door. I take his hand, and he hops out of the car with a little huff. I glance around and a shiver runs down my spine. Now that no one is around the castle seems to give off this eerie sensation.
Abandoned and desolate are just a few words I would use to describe this place. The cracks in the walkway splinter the concrete and overgrown weeds popping through. Half the structure seems to have crumbled away with cement slabs scattered around like grave markers.
The entrance loomed in front of us in the shadows of the night like a gaping mouth ready to devour us. I feel Aiden shudder next to me picking up on the same feeling I’m getting from this place. I can understand his apprehension about the place, even though I don’t want to get closer to it. I shake the thoughts from my mind. No sense in thinking like that right now.
The castle is shrouded in darkness with only the dim light of the moon guiding our way. I make sure to keep hold of Aiden because I don’t want him tripping over debris. As we approach the front of the castle Aiden clings to me like the very place might swallow him whole.
“Are you sure it’s safe to go in there,” he whispers without taking his eyes off the entrance like something’s about to lunge out of the shadows and attack us.
“I mean, is anything really safe?” I ask with a shrug. His head whips toward me and he narrows his eyes.
“That’s not reassuring, Calder,” he hisses as his fangs poke out in an adorable way.
“I won’t let anything happen to you, little bat, I promise,” I murmur as if not to disturb the energy of this place.
He swallows hard and I can tell he’s probably beyond nervous. I feel the same way about this whole thing, but I’m trying my best to keep myself calm. His eyes dart around before his gaze finally settles back on me. He gives a slow nod of his head. I tuck him closer into my side, “everything’s going to be fine.”
“I hope so,” he mumbles as we ascend the large stone steps of the entrance.
I reach for the wrought iron door handle set into the heavy wooden door. At first, it doesn’t budge so I start to pull with all my vampire strength until it finally opens slowly with a loud creak. Not ominous at all. I can tell no one has been in here for quite some time. Sure, the tourists are allowed to visit this place, but I’m sure they’re not allowed to actually go into the castle.
The musky scent fills my lungs a moment later and beside me Aiden lets out a little sneeze.
“Bless you,” I murmur causing him to let out a little quiet laugh.
“What’s so funny, little bat,” I murmur glancing around the open space of the castle. The darkness inside the castle is all-consuming so it makes it hard for me to see anything past the entrance as we step inside. It’s also deathly quiet which is rather unnerving.
“This is fucking terrifying and yet here you are blessing me,” Aiden whispers against me. I know exactly what he means as I shrug, “I was raised with manners.” He lets out another huff of laughter as we step fully inside. As if on cue, the entrance door slams shut from behind us encasing us in its dark depths.
Aiden lets out a little shriek of terror and I tug him closer hoping it helps. Other than Aiden’s echoing scream still ringing in my ears the place is deathly silent. Nothing in here, so I guess that’s a good thing. Hopefully. The only noises seem to be of the castle settling. I reach into my coat pocket and pull out my phone to turn on the flashlight.
“Careful, you might just wake the dead,” I murmur, “I didn’t know you were a screamer.”
“Ha-ha,” he huffs out, “very funny. Let’s just get this over with and get the fuck out of here. I don’t need any more new nightmares.” I can almost feel the anxiety pouring off him as he says this.
“Okay,” I mumble looking around the area as I determine which direction we should head in. I start to head towards the stairs off to the side.
“Do you really think he’s going to be upstairs,” Aiden asks in a disbelieving tone.
“I don’t exactly know where he’s going to be,” I answer honestly.
“I would have expected him to be in a cave somewhere,” he says with a shrug, “you know, like how bats like to hang out in caves.”
