Chapter 15 #3
He quickly called her back, but the phone kept ringing without an answer.
A bad feeling settled heavily in his chest.
“Damn it,” he muttered under his breath before grabbing his watch and storming out of the room.
He moved down the stairs quickly while dialing Felix’s number at the same time.
“Bring the car around. Now.”
By the time Elias stepped outside the house, Felix had already pulled the car up to the entrance.
Moments later, the car sped toward the Marriott Hotel.
The second the car stopped at the entrance, Elias shoved the door open before the vehicle had even fully settled.
“I’m bringing Bianca out,” he ordered sharply as he got out of the car. “Then we’re going straight to the hospital.”
“Yes, Mr. Creed,” Felix answered quickly, straightening beside the car.
Elias didn’t waste another second. He strode into the hotel at a hurried pace, his expression dark and tense as he headed straight for the elevator. His fingers tapped impatiently against the button while waiting for the doors to open.
The moment the elevator reached the floor, he stepped out immediately and walked down the hallway with long, quick strides. Reaching Bianca’s room, he entered the passcode and pushed the door open.
The second he stepped inside, his brows furrowed.
Bianca was lying motionless on the bed with her eyes closed. She looked unconscious.
“Bianca?” Elias called out sharply as he hurried toward her.
He bent down beside the bed and grabbed her shoulder, shaking her lightly.
“Bianca.”
There was no response.
His jaw tightened as he called her name again and again, but she still didn’t move.
Concern flashed across his face. He immediately bent lower, sliding an arm behind her back as if to lift her up.
But suddenly—
His movements paused.
A strange dizziness slammed into him without warning.
Elias frowned hard and blinked several times as his vision blurred for a second. His grip loosened slightly while he looked around in confusion.
That was when he noticed it.
Something was spraying out from a small device beside the bedside table.
At first, he thought it was a humidifier.
But it wasn’t.
The moment he inhaled again, his mind started going numb.
His body instantly turned weak and heavy.
“What the—”
His knees nearly gave out beneath him.
At that exact moment, Bianca slowly opened her eyes.
A smile spread across her lips as Elias’s body lost strength completely and collapsed forward onto the bed. Before he could even react, Bianca grabbed his arm tightly and pushed him down beneath her.
Elias stared at her with unfocused eyes, his breathing uneven.
“What the hell did you do?” he asked, his voice slurred and weak. “What… what’s going on…?”
Bianca only smiled down at him.
“I’ve been waiting for you to finally see me,” she whispered softly while brushing her fingers across his chest. “I couldn’t wait any longer, Elias.”
Her eyes slowly filled with frustration and desperation.
“It’s been so long. I kept donating blood over and over just to stay around you, but it’s like you’re blind.” Her voice trembled bitterly. “You never noticed how much I want you.”
As she spoke, her hands moved to his coat. She hurriedly pushed it off his shoulders before starting to unbutton his shirt with shaking fingers. She tugged his tie loose and tossed it aside carelessly.
Then she lowered her face to his neck, pressing desperate kisses against his skin.
Elias immediately tried to shove her away, but his body refused to cooperate.
His arm barely moved.
It felt numb.
Heavy.
Almost useless.
His fingers twitched weakly, but he couldn’t even properly lift his hand. Every part of his body felt slack, and it was becoming harder and harder to stay conscious.
“Get… off…” he rasped weakly, shoving at her shoulder again despite the exhaustion weighing down his body.
Bianca refused to back away. Instead, she moved even closer, clinging to him while her shaky fingers tugged impatiently at his shirt.
“It’s okay,” she whispered near his ear, her breath warm against his skin. “Just one night… you can give me that much, can’t you?”
Her breathing had already become unstable and quick.
“Once we’re together… once you finally understand how much I love you… we can finally be together.”
Bianca smiled shakily as she ran her hands over him possessively, clinging to him tighter.
“You’re already divorced,” she whispered hurriedly. “You’re not doing anything wrong.”
Elias clenched his jaw so hard it hurt, fighting against the dizziness clouding his mind. His vision kept blurring in and out while he struggled to stay conscious.
“Trust me,” Bianca continued softly near his ear. “I’ll make you happy.”
Her behavior only became more frantic after that. Her trembling fingers desperately tugged at his shirt while she forced herself closer to him again and again.
Elias struggled weakly beneath her, trying to push her away despite the heaviness dragging down his body. But his fading consciousness made it harder and harder to fight back properly anymore.
Meanwhile, Felix waited anxiously outside the hotel, standing beside the car while repeatedly glancing toward the entrance.
Ten minutes had already passed.
But Elias still hadn’t come out.
A deep frown slowly formed on Felix’s face as he pulled out his phone again and dialed Elias’s number for what was probably the third time.
Ring.
Ring.
Ring.
No answer.
Felix lowered the phone slowly, tension filling his face.
“What the hell should I do…?” he muttered under his breath while running a frustrated hand through his hair.
Mr. Creed had specifically told him the situation was urgent and that Bianca needed to be taken to the hospital immediately. But now neither of them was answering, and Felix had no idea what was happening upstairs.
He looked toward the towering hotel with worry in his eyes.
“I can’t just barge in there either,” he mumbled anxiously. “What if I interrupt something…?”
Still, something about the situation didn’t feel right.
Elias would never ignore repeated calls during something urgent unless there was a serious problem.
Felix hesitated for a long moment before finally pulling out his phone again. After thinking for a few seconds, he quickly dialed Amara’s number.
The call rang several times before it was finally answered.
“Felix?” Amara’s cold voice came through the phone immediately. “If it’s your boss calling, tell him I don’t want to talk to him. I already said—”
She was about to hang up, but Felix immediately interrupted her in panic.
“No, Mrs. Creed—please wait!” he said quickly. “I promise it’s not that. Something is wrong.”
There was a brief pause on the other end.
Amara’s voice immediately changed.
“What’s wrong?” she asked sharply.
Felix instantly straightened, speaking in a hurried and tense voice.
“Mrs. Creed,” Felix said hurriedly, anxiety clear in his tone, “Miss Bianca fell ill at a hotel, so Mr. Creed came to take her to the hospital. But he went inside nearly five minutes ago and hasn’t come out yet.”
Felix glanced nervously toward the hotel again before continuing.
“And he’s not answering any of my calls either. I’m worried something happened to him.”
Silence fell over the line for a moment.
Felix could hear Amara breathing quietly on the other side before she finally spoke again, her tone colder this time.
“Then call hotel security or something,” she said flatly. “If he’s in a hotel room with another woman, you shouldn’t be calling me about it. Handle your boss yourself.”
Felix immediately understood what she was implying, and panic crossed his face.
“No, Mrs. Creed, please—it's not like that,” he said quickly, shaking his head even though she couldn’t see him. “Mr. Creed only came because Miss Bianca called him and said she was terribly sick. I genuinely think something is seriously wrong.”
He tightened his grip on the phone.
“But I can’t enter the room by myself. I don’t have the authority to just walk into a guest’s room.” His voice became more desperate. “You’re his wife. Please, can you come over? I really need to make sure Mr. Creed is alright.”
Amara stayed silent again.
Felix nervously swallowed before continuing softly, “Please.”
Finally, Amara let out a quiet breath on the other end of the line.
“I’m his ex-wife,” she said tiredly. “The hotel staff isn’t going to hand me the password to their room.”
Felix immediately shook his head.
“Mr. Creed already gave me the passcode earlier,” he explained quickly. “I just need you to come with me, please. Just help me check on him once. I promise you can leave right after. I won’t bother you again.”
Amara hesitated.
Felix could almost picture her standing there in silence while thinking about it.
A few long seconds passed before she finally let out a breath of defeat.
“...Alright,” she said quietly. “I’m coming over.”
Relief instantly flooded Felix’s face.
“Thank you, Mrs. Creed,” he said quickly. “Please come as fast as you can. I’m sending you the location right now.”
The moment the call ended, Felix hurriedly sent her the hotel address while continuing to glance nervously toward the building, his uneasiness growing stronger with every passing second.
Amara was at Jasper’s office for a business meeting when she got the call. Since the hotel was close by, it didn’t take her long to arrive.
The moment the cab stopped outside the entrance, she hurried out and spotted Felix waiting anxiously near the doors.
Felix immediately straightened when he saw her and quickly rushed toward her.
“Thank you for coming, Mrs. Creed,” he said in obvious relief. “Let’s go. We can’t delay anymore.”
Without wasting another second, he turned and hurried toward the hotel.
Amara quickly followed after him, her heels clicking sharply against the marble floor as her heartbeat pounded harder with every second.
Her mind was a complete mess.
She didn’t know what to expect anymore.
Part of her kept trying to convince herself that Felix was overreacting, but another part of her feared the worst.
Elias was alone in a hotel room with Bianca.
The exact nightmare she had been trying not to think about for so long suddenly felt terrifyingly real.
Her chest tightened painfully as countless thoughts raced through her head.
What if she really walked in on them together?
What if everything she feared had already happened?
The closer they got to the room, the more nervous she became.
Felix hurried out of the elevator the moment they reached the third floor and quickly led her down the hallway. Reaching the room, he immediately entered the passcode with trembling fingers before pushing the door open.
Both of them rushed inside.
Amara braced herself for the worst.
But the sight in front of her still made her freeze.
Bianca was on top of Elias.
His shirt had already been opened, exposing his chest, and bright lipstick marks were scattered across his skin.
