The sureness of Jac’s words as she accepts Anderson’s proposal sets sparks off in my chest. This is the moment we needed.

Sure, it’s fast, but when you know, you know.

I haven’t fully scented her, but when she perfumed back at Ten Pins I caught the cinnamon and clove that made my dick perk right up.

Knowing she smelled like a cinnamon roll had me wondering if she was going to taste like one too.

“So where are we having the ceremony?” I say as I pull out my phone so we can book a spot. Anderson is on a tight timeline now that he has Jac in his grasp, it’s only a matter of time before his brother appears out of nowhere and ruins it all.

I search for pack ceremony locations in Lake City. Having lived here all my life I know there aren’t many, but maybe we can swing something on short notice.

“Why don’t we just have a small ceremony here? Or maybe Ten Pins?” Luke says from across the couch. I pause my search and look up at him.

“Ten Pins?” I question, thinking about how we could set this up.

I think back to all the upgrades that we saw at Ten Pins while we bowled earlier. The new dark accents with neon could actually create a regal aesthetic that could work. The wheels start to spin in my mind as my artistic mind kicks into gear.

My art degree was a joke at first. I wanted something that was easy as I pursued what I thought would be a pro career in the Professional Hockey League.

I wanted nothing more than to be on the ice forever.

The joke was on me; I was mediocre at best on the ice.

However, behind a camera or with a drawing tool in my hand, I was unstoppable.

I joke about it these days, but for a while there realizing that the PHL wasn’t in my future had me spiraling to a full blown crash out.

Eventually, Monty pulled me out of my head.

He has always known me better than anyone, well him and Luke.

He entered one of my photos, one with the three of us from before Luke’s dad passed, into a contest put on by The Art Center of Denver and somehow it won a place front and center in their exhibit.

From there, my photography took off, it was a side hustle for the remainder of our time in college, but now I can fully pursue it full time, and I spend a lot of that career photographing pack bondings. So who better to plan ours?!

“Wait. I don’t know if a ceremony is a wise idea…” Jac states with some panic in her voice, “I don’t think we should make it a big public thing. Not only because, well I just met three of you, but also your brother…” She pointedly looks at Anderson who wraps his arm around her pulling her into him.

“He won’t find you.” Anderson mumbles into the top of Jac’s head as he takes in her scent. I am admittedly a little jealous of their comfortability together. I’m eager to show her that we can all be a safe place for her to land.

“Why don’t we keep it small?” I suggest, “Just our families, or close friends. No posting it out in the papers or anything like that.”

As I say it, my mind flits to how my mother is going to instantly chat with everyone she can about how my pack has found their Omega.

Lake City is a small community, and everyone knows Mrs. Williamson, aka my mother.

She always did know how to keep the town gossip mill flowing.

I’m going to have to figure out how to keep this event with the family until the time is right.

“Done. We will plan a small ceremony for two weeks from now.” Anderson says, ending the conversation with finality.

“Deal.” We all chime in.

In two weeks, this sweet little Omega will be ours.
