Epilogue

“Cyrus! Come grab your little brother’s floaty!” Nick bellows from the beach, getting the attention of our ten year old son Cyrus. That boy is the spitting image of his dad. Blond hair, blue eyes and a killer smile that's going to get him into trouble some day.

“I got it.” Rica says, grabbing it from Nick. She runs into the water, toward Cyrus and helps Atlas into his arm floaties.

“She’s like a little mother hen.” Savvy, my bestest friend in the world says as she sits next to me on the recliner.

“She really is.” I laugh. “She adores her little brothers, but I know she can’t wait for this one to be born.” I rub my swollen seven month belly.

A lot has happened in the past twelve years.

After Will found out about Rica being his daughter, we worked hard to build a home of our own on the compound.

When it came time to tell her, she reacted a lot better than we thought.

She was over the moon that the big scary man who died wasn’t her father.

Will had to excuse himself because he wasn’t able to keep himself together when Rica told him she would much rather have him as her daddy than her big brother.

Me? I sobbed like a big baby.

She adjusted well, wasting no time calling Will her daddy and Ian, Nick, and Tucker her uncles.

But what really had me ugly crying was when she said ‘I’m sorry my mommy was mean to you. I’m glad she’s gone. You can be my mommy if you want’. Like, how do you keep it together after something like that?

From then on, the family life was the life for me. I embraced being a mom and I’ve loved every moment of it.

The summer after everything went down, we spent a few months here in California, at the lake house that Nick bought our pack.

We needed the time to bond without the outside world interfering.

That's how I met Savannah, my very crazy, very loyal best friend.

When I told Nick I thought about getting a job, and he told me there was no need to because they provided everything I’d need in life. So, I did what I always do, and told him to get fucked.

Just to be a brat, I got a job at the country club nearby. It didn’t last more than a week, but I got to meet Savvy in passing.

When I went back and told Ian about the new friend I met, and that I was disappointed that I’d never see her again, Ian did what he does best and made sure that didn’t happen.

He remembered how much I'd said it sucked that I didn't have any girlfriends to talk to, so he managed to get her number and we started texting.

We bonded heavily over our odd pets. She had a pet racoon named Thor. He was the cutest thing ever. Sadly, like Petunia, they both passed away a few years after meeting. But not before we had a summer back here when they visited us.

We made it tradition to come back every summer for a month.

Savvy and her family joins us for most of it.

Between our packs and the kids, this place is packed to the point where they ended up buying the property next to us and building their own vacation home.

She has a little girl, Athena who is a year older than Cyrus. We always joke that the two of them are going to pack up one day.

And by the way Athena looks at him with puppy love eyes, it might happen. If she’s anything like her mom, she will make sure of it.

After Cyrus was born, every two years these men were pumping me full of babies.

Nick was the first one to get a baby in me with Cyrus, next was Tucker who gave us our sweet baby boy Percy, then it was Will with our youngest son Atlas.

After three boys, I’m finally getting my baby girl. Ian is over the moon and is going to be the best girl dad. They all are.

“How are the boys dealing with having a little sister?” Savvy asks.

“They’re excited too. Cyrus has been working on something with Nick for her in the garage. All I know is it says Cleo on it because he asked me how to spell her name.” I chuckle. “Percy has been buying all the teddys he can find and Atlas just loves to sit and chat away to my belly.”

“That's so cute!” she gushes. “Athena was not happy when she found out she was having baby brothers, I can’t blame the girl because she got a two for one deal. At least Nyla is old enough to help fight them off now.”

Savvy has four kids. Her oldest Athena, then her twins Rowe and Kieran and finally her daughter Nyla.

Speaking of the twins in question, they come screaming down the beach with water guns in hand.

“They better not.” Savvy sits up. “Shit.” She stands. “You leave your sister alone!” She calls out.

But it’s too late, they both run up to Athena and spray her in the face. Athena screams in answer. “I’m gonna kill you!”

That catches Cyrus' attention.

“Oh boy.” I bite my lip as my hot headed little boy looks at Athena, then the two boys as they run away. He is out of the water and running towards the twins in seconds.

“And he says he doesn’t like her.” Savvy huffs, sitting back down. “He looks seconds from killing my boys.”

“He won’t actually hurt them.” I tell her. “I think.”

Part of me is worried, but before Cyrus can get to them, Savvy’s Alphas Caleb and Walker snatch them up and start carrying them together to their cabin.

I look back over to Athena. She’s not crying anymore, hugging her dad Jake.

“Boys.” Savannah groans. “I’m so done having kids. I’m getting too old for this.”

“The only old one here is me, my love.” Leroy, Savvy’s final mate, who is a Beta, says, handing her another drink.

“Yes, but you’re hot as fuck, old man.” she winks. “And your dick works like a twenty year olds. That's what matters.”

“Thanks.” Leroy chuckles, shaking his head.

She’s not wrong. For sixty, he’s still very fit, and who doesn’t love a silver fox?

“I couldn’t find any popsicles.” Ian comes back and hands me something. “But we have ice cream bars.”

“Oh, gimme.” My eyes widen as I take the sweet goodness from him.

“I’ll text Will to pick some up while he’s in town. Also, Tucker wants to know if we need any more marshmallows.”

“Yes.” Savvy answers him. “Kids ate the last of them last night.”

“Ian, baby.”

“Yes, Little Doe?”

“Could you be a doll and get me some more ice water?”

“Anything for you, my queen.” he purrs, bending down to kiss me as he takes my glass.

“That’s the one thing I miss about being pregnant.” she sighs. “Being waited on hand and foot.”

“You act as if you’re not spoiled every day.” Leroy chuckles.

“True.” she grins up at him. “Could you be a doll and get me another cooler?”

“Anything for you, my Little Monster.” he chuckles.

“Ugh I love that man.” Savvy sighs then a smile slips onto her lips. “So, what's the deal with those two?” She nods towards Rica as she leads Atlas down to the beach.

“What do you mean?” I ask, confused.

“Rica gots herself a little stalker.”

I look to where she’s pointing. Tyler is leaning against one of the trees, a smoke in hand as he watches Rica.

I sigh heavily. “I want to say it’s because he’s always been like that. And don’t get me wrong, from the very start, Tyler has always been Rica’s biggest protector. But ever since he found out that he and Rica aren’t cousins, the older he got, the more he’s changed.”

“Because that boy is so in love with her, it’s not even funny.” Savvy snorts.

“Shh.” I hush her, eyes wide, making sure Nick or Ian doesn’t hear.

“Oh come on. You can’t even deny it.”

“I’m not.” I mutter. “But if her dads found out, they would kill Tyler. And I like the kid.”

Last year, Tyler’s mom came back into the picture long enough to tell us she was dying and wanted to get everything off her chest. She told Tyler that the man he believed was his father his whole life, wasn’t. Meaning, Tyler isn’t biologically Rafe’s little brother.

It was a big pill for him to swallow, but it didn’t affect the bond they have. Rafe will always see that man as his little brother.

But, that also meant he wasn’t biologically related to Rica.

That knowledge changed everything between him and Rica.

My Alphas don’t see it, but I do.

It just so happens that Rica presented as an Omega a few months ago. And, you guessed it, Tyler is an Alpha.

I have no clue if they’re scent matches or not, but if they are, I don’t think Rica is aware of it yet. She’s on Alpha blockers because, in her words, ‘living around all these stinky Alphas makes me want to puke’.

So, she can’t smell any Alpha.

But I’d bet my left tit that there's a good chance those two will end up together.

That is, if my guys don’t kill him first.
