Chapter 19 #3

“Did you bring me clothes that are being tracked?” Pablo asks as we walk toward their car.

“No,” Dario grunts.

“That would be rude,” Nico mutters. “I’m doing my stalking the good ole fashioned way, thank you.”

“I’m going to kill your cameras if you’re dicks,” Pablo growls, opening the back door for us.

“I’d expect nothing less, tesoro.”

“You’re very feisty tonight,” Ciro observes. “Are Rosa and Verona rubbing off on you?”

“I’ve always been a brat, you just haven’t had the pleasure of meeting this side of me.”

“Hmm. Brats get spankings,” Nico croons, closing the door behind Pablo.

The brothers stand outside and talk for a moment and I purse my lips as I watch. “Do they always act this oddly?”

“They’re Dominos. Everything they do is odd,” Pablo grumbles.

“Truth,” Rosa giggles, looking more relaxed as she yawns. Sometimes, there’s nothing that beats a murder and an orgasm, I guess, though this is my first experience with this.

She’s not showing any signs of being overwhelmed by their scents, which means the alpha blocker cream is still working. I swear, that stuff is amazing. While I’m not looking for it to become a crutch, it’ll at least allow her to ease into the overstimulation of being an omega.

Pablo has always been around the Dominos, so it’s a little less overwhelming for him.

Dario opens up the truck and gets inside while Nico closes it behind him, and I watch as he lifts the back row of seats there.

“Stalking is still rude,” I grumble, lifting my arm so Rosa can snuggle with me. Pablo doesn’t think anything of wrapping his arm around both of us, and Ciro makes a sound under his breath I can’t make sense of.

I know he’s still wearing his shock collar, and I suddenly wish I had the remote with me. Unfortunately, it’s somewhere in the guest house in my purse.

“You’re very comfortable with each other,” he muses, starting the car as Nico pulls on his seat belt in the passenger seat.

“I don’t know what you mean,” Pablo says, yawning. The three of us are coming down from our adrenaline rush and starting to fade together.

“I smell sex,” Nico grumbles. “While I'm very happy for the three of you, I’m also jealous. The only way we can fix this, Rosa, is to spend time together. Are you open to this?”

A loud snore has Pablo and I giggling very inappropriately, and the brothers sigh.

“You should have seen her,” Pablo says with a content smile. “She broke all of Eva’s fingers without any hesitation.”

“Pablo broke the cunt’s ankle, and the rest of her bones,” I add. “I didn’t realize it was so much fun to kill someone. Renzo makes it scary.”

“Don Accetta is a heartless dick with a God complex, Verona. I don’t think he understands the meaning of fun,” Dario says, leaning forward in his seat.

Apparently, seatbelts are being ignored today.

“Pablo, did you have fun with the girls? This is a side of you I haven’t seen before.

It’s fucking with the cock cage I’m wearing. ”

Ciro chuckles as he adjusts his cock, shaking his head. “If you don’t take it off, it may fall off! Let your dick breathe at night.”

“You didn’t tell me that. Where’s the key?” Dario groans.

“It won’t fall off,” Pablo laughs. “Me voy por unos días, y se caga todo.”

“They’re children with money,” I groan. “I think all dicks are gross except yours, Pablo.”

He gives me the widest smile before kissing me, and I can feel the Domino men’s eyes on me even when I close mine.

“Dicks are typically gross when you’re disgusted by the men who have them,” Dario says slowly, waiting until I look over my shoulder at him.

“Then maybe you have your answer.”

Ciro pulls up in front of Pack Mayor’s home, and Pablo gets out as soon as it’s in park to come around to Rosa’s door.

“He’s always hated the mafia life,” Nico muses, watching Rosa and I instead of Pablo.

“Here’s one more nugget of honesty, Nico. I’m not going to do the work for you. It’s not the ‘mafia life’ but feeling inadequate. Tonight, he was an integral part of the plan. Meet him where he’s at and see what he’s capable of. Good night.”

“Night, Verona. Take care of our omegas.”

I refuse to reply as Pablo opens the door and gently lifts Rosa into his arms. Sliding out of the car, I walk with them to the gate, pulling out my keys. No one is jumping that thing tonight.

“Are you okay, mama?” he asks as I unlock the door and push it open so we can walk together into the darkened garden. I turn on my cellphone light just in case while murmuring that I’m fine, checking the gate to make sure it latched properly.

“It just truly hit me that I’m never going to get rid of the Domino brothers.”

“Oh?” Pablo asks, amused. “Did you realize they’re not going to let up?”

“No, it’s more so that they're seeds that attach to your clothes as you walk through the grass. They’re not dangerous to you, but they’ll find a way to stick like glue until you pick them off,” I mutter.

“I think they’d rather be fungus.”

I huff out a laugh as we walk, because Pablo is probably right.

“I don’t want to like them. I’d be perfectly happy with the three of us.”

“Like with visitation rights?” Pablo teases me. “Verona, you’re the one who told me it’s alright to care about multiple people at once.”

“Yes. However, your brothers have heartbreak written across their foreheads. Even Ciro. Did you know he’s wearing a shock collar to remind himself not to say stupid shit?”

“I am aware, yes,” he grins. “This is next level even for him. He is usually the chaos in our pack, mama. Now, Ciro is willing to do anything to keep it together. In a way, it makes him seem the most manipulative, but he also has the most heart. He was willing to ignore me so my brother could have me. The dynamics in my pack are changing because they’re working toward a common goal.

Once my brothers fall for you, that’s it. There’s no escaping.

“The group stalking? It looks like they want the three of us. Buckle up, as I have no idea how that’ll look. They’ve gone off script. The little I’ve experienced of their obsession is intense.”

Fuck. Where did the oxygen go? Why is that so heavy?

“There’s oxygen, mama. Suck it in. That’s it. I was doing some research today…”

Yes. Please distract me. I don’t want Ciro or your brothers to like me. Nope.

“Learn anything interesting?” I ask, proud when I almost sound normal.

“There are people who don’t feel attraction to others until they get to know them.

For us, it’s the scent match that made us instantly pulled to each other.

For my stepbrothers? They suck the air out of a room, Verona, until the only thing that exists is them.

I felt it when I walked into the Domino house for the first time and Nico practically dragged me to the bathroom to fuck me in the middle of dinner.

“The Domino effect is real. Don’t be hard on yourself when you feel yourself being pulled under.”

“I need to know Rosa can handle whatever ridiculous effect this is. They need to make this right with her,” I say urgently. “Your brothers can rot until they do.”

“I’m sure they understand that,” he says, stopping at the guest house once we arrive there.

I’m finding that fucking remote control in the morning. At least one of them will learn to heel on command.
