Tracked

Tony

I call Matty. I don’t care how early it is.

“Tony, don’t be mad.”

“Don’t be mad!? What kind of way is that to answer the phone?!”

“I said don’t be mad.”

“Where is she?”

Matty sighs. She sounds so tired.

“She called me, using your phone, and asked me to get her a flight out of Aguadilla. She says she’s sorry, but she’s going back. She’s going to make sure you get your money from this job.”

“No.”

“Tony, she is going to die if she doesn’t go back. What else was supposed to happen? It’s better this way; then you don’t have to be the one to force her.”

“You don’t understand; they’re…horrible people.”

“Yeah, I know. I’ve had to fucking deal with them. Also, I ran a background check. They’ve had omega complaints before.”

I can’t hear this. I’m so fucking pissed. She ran away from me. She ran away from me!

“When does her flight leave?”

“No, I’m not fucking telling you. You sound scary. Plus, she said not to tell you. She said it’s better this way. Then you don’t have to watch her die if she doesn’t make it.”

Matty realizes halfway through talking how bad that is. She makes a distressed, tired noise.

I pull the phone away from my ear and check the location of the lighter. It’s at the airport nearby. I could probably pinpoint the gate and look up the flight info, but you know what would be easier? My fucking partner giving me the information.

“Send me the info right now Matty or I swear to god!”

“Fine! God.” She hangs up, and shortly after, there’s a text with the flight info. First one out, in one hour. I order a car and wait for it outside the motel. I notice on the way to the airport that Matty bought two tickets. The one next to Kelya was going to be empty if I hadn’t woken up in time.

Once in the airport, I rush through security, my feet bouncing and my eyes looking everywhere.

I see Kelya sitting at the gate, with her knees up to her chest, nodding off. She’s wearing black biker shorts and a cropped white T-shirt. She’s got her red purse and nothing else.

I take the seat next to her.

“I should have known you’d find me. Did Matty rat me out?”

“Yeah.”

“I knew she was more loyal to you than me.”

“She is my best friend. But I would have known where you were without her.”

“Why would you know where I am? You can’t even use your nose.”

I turn to open her purse trapped between her seat and her body. I pull out my lighter.

“This has a tracking device in it.”

“Fuck.”

I put it back into her purse and wedge it back into the seat.

“You know, I lost that. I gave it to Miguel as a gift for inviting me to his party. I stole it back on the way out. Maybe I should have let him keep it.”

I shake my head.

“I’d still find you. I don’t need it to know where you go next. I think I know you well enough now there’d be no place you could go where I wouldn’t find you.”

I see her resist her smile. Despite my aggressive stalker words, she loves it.

“You’re really going back?” I ask.

“I made my decision.”

“You said you’d never go back.”

“Things changed.”

I let her words sit with me.

“It’s better this way. Matty told them when my flight was getting in, and they’re going to pick me up from the airport. I’ll get you paid. You can get your house back. I’ll get back into my nest, and…”

“And what?”

“And live my new life. It won’t be as glamorous as this one, but I won’t be sick anymore.”

It was always going to be this way.

“I’ll go with you,” I tell her. She doesn’t protest. I can tell her world is tilting, so I take her hand and squeeze it.

“Just until Vegas, Tony. Just until Vegas.”

They call our flight to board, and thus begins our eleven-hour journey. Kelya doesn’t fly well. Her hands grip the armrests. She fidgets. Nothing holds her attention. She gets up to use the restroom a lot. I quickly text Matty to upgrade our seats for the next flight.

By the time we land in Florida, her breathing is out of control.

I pull her into a pack-restroom in the terminal, a private restroom for alpha/omega packs, and hang her face over the sink to wipe her cheeks with cool water on a paper towel. Her face is completely white.

“Kelya, please tell me, what’s wrong?” I turn her around and pull her up to sit on the counter. She won’t stop moving around.

“I can’t keep their voices…omegas shouldn’t be so needy. They need to take care of themselves…”

“That is so unbelievably not true.”

Tears gather at her lash line, and her hands shake as they grip the counter below her. I stand between her legs.

“They are the ones who used to tell you things like that, aren’t they? ‘Omegas shouldn’t drink beer.’ ‘Omegas don’t sleep in,’ right? I hear you say it to yourself.”

“And my parents.”

“What?”

“My parents did it first. Roman says the same things. When the people who hold your livelihood in their hands both say the same things, it’s hard to not let it be true.”

Everything I learn about her slices me in two. My heart breaks for her. They tried to ruin her, and they’ll do it again.

“Sweet Rosette, we aren’t doing this. This is stupid. Let’s get on another flight somewhere else…”

“No, no, no, I can’t keep doing this!” she shouts and pulls at her clothes, nearly tearing the hems. “I want to feel better.”

“I’ll make you feel better.” I kiss the tears from her cheeks and rub her arms. She’s looking down at her lap, and then something splashes on her hand.

When she wipes her nose, I see it isn’t a tear, but blood.

I tip her head, and sure enough, her nose is bleeding.

I pull out a wad of paper towels and clean her up.

“Will you call that doctor? I have questions,” she asks through chattering teeth, holding the paper towels to her nose.

I pull out my phone and call Dr. Soto.

He answers on the third ring.

“This is Dr. Soto.”

“Hello, this is Alpha Racine. We talked about a week ago about Omega Kelya and her Nest Waning Syndrome.”

“I sent you an email following up, did you get it?” He sounds upset.

“Yes, but I haven’t had time to respond. I have Kelya here, and she has some questions.”

“Please put her on.”

I hand her the phone, and she cradles it to her ear.

“Dr. Soto, can I ask you some things?” She’s still crying a little, and the whole thing is killing me.

It’s like having my insides slowly ripped from me.

I adjust her clothes back into position.

“Yes, we followed the care plan. It helped. Thank you. So, I haven’t been in my nest in two years, almost exactly, and it’s really… do I really need to go back?”

She’s listening to his answer, and I can’t hear it. I just keep my hands on her, hoping my touch helps calm her down.

“What do omegas with NWS do who can’t go back to their nest?” she asks so carefully, but she knows—she just needs someone to confirm.

Dr. Soto launches into his answer. His tone, I can discern, is somber. Kelya is nodding along, and her tears keep falling.

“But, what if…”

He cuts her off and keeps talking, and she just listens for a long time. Omegas who don’t go back to their nest continue to decline, and then they die. I knew that before I went down an online rabbit hole.

It’s a form of bond sickness.

Kelya has bonded with her nest and has been away from it. Her needs not being met for years has been killing her.

“How long do you think I could go?” she asks in a very small voice. “But I’ve been feeling better…”

I run my nose along her neck, wishing I could smell her.

I turn and offer her my scent glands, and she nods for me to continue.

I rub my neck against her, scenting her.

God, it feels good. Our flight leaves soon for Texas, and we may get in trouble for scenting before. It’s considered against travel policy.

“Ok, thank you, Dr. Soto. I will.”

She ends the call and collapses into me.

“Did you get all your questions answered?”

She nods, and I pull her into my arms.

“I’m so sorry. I wish I could make it go away.”

I wipe her face down, and we leave, barely making our connecting flight. Kelya is sweating and jumping in her seat on the next plane. Her teeth grind, and her fingers dance over everything. I hold her wrist, but I need to hold her entire body. I need to tie her up…

We’ve been in the air for only a few minutes, but I turn to her and pull her face to mine.

“I think I can help. I have an idea.”

She’s shaking like a leaf.

“What? I don’t think we can fuck on the plane. That’s really frowned upon…”

I roll my eyes at her, kiss her sweaty forehead, then unbuckle both of us just as the light turns off—I take her hand, then grab my bag and rush us to the bathroom.

“Hey! Only one occupancy!” the flight attendant snips.

“It’s a medical emergency! Give us five minutes.” I push Kelya in first, then crowd us both inside. I used my alpha voice, but the flight attendant is a beta, so it will have no effect. Still tried though.

I shut the door and lock it.

“What are you doing?! They’ll call the air martial!”

I drop the bag on the sink and tear it open.

“Hey, doesn’t this remind you of when we first met? Shoved in that tiny closet on the boat? But now we are on a plane…” she says.

I stop and look around, seeing the similarities.

“Yeah, kind of.” I chuckle, but then command her, “Take off your clothes, Sweet Rosette.”

“I’m not even going to question you. I’m beyond questioning you.” She drops her shorts and takes off her top, leaving her in a mint green thong and red bra.

I pull out the black, nylon ropes from my bag. Her eyes expand to the size of dinner plates.

“What are you doing?”

“I know a shibari knot that will work great. It lays flat, and you can wear it under your clothes. I can do a harness or even a rope dress. It won’t hurt or cut off your circulation. I think it will help you feel…contained. I think it’ll relax you.”

I wait for her to process what I’m asking.

“You want to tie me up? On this airplane?”

“Yes, if you’ll allow me.”

“If it doesn’t work…I’ll be able to take them off, right?”

“Of course.”

“Ok. Tie me up.”

I take my time to give her a good design. Something she can sit and stand in. I make it like a bodysuit, going between her legs and over her shoulders. Her breathing slows, and she’s so much more still.

The rope goes under her breast and forms almost a heart-shaped opening at her sternum. The flat knots are all over, holding her together. It looks insanely hot. My breathing is quickening as hers is finally slowing down. I wish I could take a picture.

“I want to make you come,” I say with a preternatural voice, turned on from seeing her in my ropes and being this close. She looks at the door, knowing the flight attendant is just on the other side.

“I can be quiet.”

“I can be quick.”

“I have that gel in my bag.”

I laugh knowing she does, since I saw it earlier. I rifle through her purse sitting on top of her clothes and pull it out, then coat my finger in it.

“Turn around, Rosette.” She turns around, and I push her shoulder down so her ass is practically in my lap. I run my fingers over her pussy, coating her sex in the gel.

“Don’t hold back.” I rub her over her lips, stroking her clit, and getting her close as fast as possible.

It’s a quickie after all. She moans, and I stop.

“Shhh, be quiet.”

“Make me.”

Normally this would be a fun game, holding back her orgasm if she made a noise, but we are not in a position for that kind of game.

“Don’t make a noise until you come, Kelya.”

And she’s silent as I work her pussy. Her rocking hips are the only indication she’s losing control. I let my fingers slide inside of her then pull them out to stroke her clit again. Over and over again. My hard dick pushes against her, but I ignore it to get her there. Completely scent free.

She comes, and suddenly her voice is back.

“God. Fuck. Tony that was exactly…”

“I know. I know.”

I pull her up and kiss her so she knows how much I wanted to give her that.

Then I wash my hands. I help her back into her clothes, putting my button-up shirt over her to hide the lines from the ropes better.

We exit the bathroom, and while the flight attendant didn’t ground the plane to get us out, she does look angry as all hell.

I lean over to her and say, “My omega is unwell. She just needed a minute. I swear it wasn’t anything heinous.” Then I push my luck. “Can we get some bottles of water and crackers?”

She looks like she believes me enough to let it go and hands me the bottles and crackers.

I sit down with Kelya and make her take a few sips. The ropes have settled her enough she leans against me and falls asleep. It’s not a deep sleep, so I remain as still as possible.

My inner alpha is doing backflips. He’s so happy we helped the omega.

The ropes help a lot. She just needs to feel where her body ends and the world begins.

That’s probably the same feeling she used to get in her nest. It was a clear boundary.

No wonder, when she left, she scattered around the globe.

Putting her back into confinement will help her regain her sense of self. I hope. Is it confinement? What does she get from her nest she can’t get anywhere else?

Maybe she can tell me one day.

An alpha doesn’t nest, but we do need an omega’s nest sometimes.

We use them to rest, rehabilitate, heal, and regulate.

They are special spaces, and you have to be invited inside by a trusting omega.

It’s a great honor to be invited into an omega’s nest. She has rules and expectations. You are a guest.

I wrap my arm around Kelya and pull her close. I rub the knots over her clothes with my thumb. The white noise of the plane’s engine finally does its job and lulls her further into sleep. I bring her head into my lap, and she breathes deeply. Still. Finally.

I guess it ended up being true, my threat to her, that I would tie her up and take her off the island myself.

Once they have her, the Livingstons will never let me contact her again. Maybe I can buy their house and the nest with it, kick them out and keep her.

I just need to figure out how to procure the several million dollars in cash to make them an offer.

I wish I had gone into something more lucrative. Maybe I can take on more dangerous jobs. More jobs with omegas, because they pay the best. In a few years, I’ll have the money to try something to get her back.

She needs a new phone. I left it at the hotel with all my equipment. I’ll need to ask the hotel to ship it to me.

Her body relaxes even more as she drifts into a real sleep.

I gently separate her curls and hold her close as she sleeps. This may be the last time I get to hold her in my arms.
