22. Chapter 22

Cassie

I was close to the suite, but I knew something wasn’t right. Waves of warmth rolled through me, and I doubled over in the hallway, my stomach clenching as a sharp pain suddenly hit me.

“Cassie!” I looked over my shoulder at the call of my name to see Leo running toward me, his face tight with concern.

“Cassie, what’s wrong?” He knelt down next to me, and as his scent filled my nose, I suddenly wanted so much more of him.

I wanted him touching me, licking me - I wanted to see the rest of his body, see everything that I’d been fantasizing about. And I wanted it right now.

A trickle of slick ran down my leg. Oh no . There was only one thing that could cause these intense thoughts and feelings, along with this biological response. But I’d taken a suppressant every day I’d been here. This didn’t make any sense!

“Leo…” I started, knowing I’d only have a few minutes left before everything went haywire. His face changed from concern to sudden understanding as he realized what was happening.

“Aw, hell. Cassie, what do you want? I can get you in a room quickly, but with all the alphas here…” He trailed off, and I knew he was now starting to fight his own biology. I reached out to him, running a hand down his chest as his gaze turned lustful.

“I need you.” I managed to say. “All of you.”

Leo nodded, then spoke. “Who exactly?”

“You, Jace, Rys, all of you.” I said, knowing that the heat would be taking over my every thought soon.

“Nest!” I begged, and Leo scooped me up in his arms. I immediately felt better, and knowing that he’d help me through this made my omega side very happy, despite the sudden chaos of a heat appearing out of nowhere.

This was an impossible thing to happen, and incredibly dangerous in a villa full of unbonded alphas.

But I didn’t have time to ruminate on it.

I just needed to get somewhere safe, and fast. As Leo rushed down the hall with impossible speed, I heard another voice call out.

“Cassie? What’s going on?” It was Jace

“Back here! Now!” Leo called behind him. “Bring Rys!”

Leo pushed the door open to the nesting room that we’d attempted to decorate earlier, and a massive cramp radiated through my abdomen.

I gasped and clutched my stomach, wincing as the pain and need coursed through me.

“It hurts!” I whined, knowing the only thing that would fix it was an alpha’s knot.

Leo gently placed me on the massive bed, then knelt next to me, brushing the hair away from my face.

“I’m right here, Cassie. I’m going to take care of you, so well.

We all are. I promise you, we’re going to make it through this.

Anything you need, just say the word.” His gentle words calmed the growing anxiety, and made me lean into the extreme arousal that was bursting from within.

I grasped his forearm and by the way his pupils grew, I could tell the perfume bursting out of me was affecting him more every second.

We probably had mere minutes before I fell into full blown heat, and he was being pulled in, his own desires growing to a point where they would soon be insurmountable.

“I want your knot.” I said, nuzzling into his arm as I heard the low purr of approval sound out in the room. His leather and bergamot scent filled up the air, and I barely heard the door open as I looked over to see Jace come in, skidding to a halt as his nose told him what was going on.

“Is that… it can’t be…” Jace stuttered as he scented my pheromone-laced perfume.

He was in awe, but when he looked at me, his face turned gentle and almost reverent.

He stepped forward, his posture seeming to grow as his alphas side begged him to take over, to claim me, to give me everything I needed.

Through it all, I could tell he was holding himself back, trying to maintain his wits until the hormones completely took over. Jace looked down at me.

“Omega, tell me what you need.”
