Chapter 9 This Little Game #5

The riding pants she wore fit tight on her body but came free with the force I used to pull the material down her beautiful thighs.

My eyes noted the smoothness of the brown skin before I saw how it was marred by scars at the apex of her thighs.

I hadn’t seen those in the dark the first night we were together but now I had questions.

My hesitation had her hands moving to protect herself but I wasn’t about to have that happen.

“Don’t.”

My eyes met hers so she could see the depth of my desire as I looked at her. She wasn’t fearful but there was pain behind these marks that she wasn’t willing to share. I needed to know but now wasn’t the time.

I’d been yanking around horses so I wasn’t about to use my hands to touch her intimately.

Instead, I used them to spread her legs and give my tongue the ability to feel her as deeply as possible.

Her scent was everywhere, so potent I could already taste her and my tongue hadn’t gotten involved yet.

Her panties were barely a snap of fabric and were wet beneath the skin of my nose.

I used my teeth and pulled them to the side so my tongue could get to work.

She moaned softly at the first swipe of my tongue and her hand went to my head.

Because of the limited time we had I didn’t go as slowly as I normally would have.

I attacked her clit lavishing it with my tongue and before taking it completely in my mouth.

Her hips circled unable to maintain the decorum she prided herself on.

Her ability to scream was hushed because she didn’t want to scare the animals.

My tongue snaked between her folds delving deeper, trying to coat the entire surface of my tongue with her sweetness.

“Ori—”

She sounded desperate, hungry, vulnerable and although I was giving her pleasure at her command this was the only way I could have control over her.

The way she handed over her body for me to pleasure had me ready to bust. Asha’s thighs were squeezing my head and instead of fighting it I threw one of her legs over my back and buried my face deeper.

When she held my head still and began to work her hips over my face I didn’t bother to fight her just kept my tongue stiff and continued to flicker it as fast as I could until I felt the dam burst and was rewarded for my spontaneity.

“Yes!” Her cry was soft, almost a whisper to ensure the horses didn’t get spooked. She rode my tongue faster and her nails sank deeper as I drank from a fountain that I prayed was endless. I would sustain myself on it for years to come if she hadn’t followed through with her threat first.

Her leg slipped back down to the ground and she released my head almost reluctantly. Despite the pressure in my dick, I remembered the task I’d come out here to achieve and decided now was the best time.

“We have a wedding to attend.”

I spoke almost breathless with the desire that was running through me but I wasn’t embarrassed by the way I must’ve looked. My hair was wild my clothes untucked and Asha looked just as disheveled as I did. She was blinking, clearing the fog of lust the two of us had created as my words sank in.

“A what?”

“Your near fiancé is getting married.” I smirked thinking about how it wasn’t true but the situation was still funny to me. There was no other woman for Xerxes than Vanya and I couldn’t see him and Asha meshing well even if Vanya wasn’t in the picture.

“I know nothing about the fiancé I have now but you’re telling me I had a near fiancé? What an odd thing to say.” She ran a hand through the ends of her hair that weren’t contained by her riding helmet.

“When your father approached our organization there was another person who was still single.”

“Was?”

“He has since become engaged.”

“Why was he even in the running then?” She finished braiding her hair and I still refused to put distance between the two of us. It felt unnecessary and was unwanted given the way we’d come close to fucking in the middle of a paddock.

“Because his fiancée, much like you, was too stubborn to see what was in front of her.”

It had to be the taste of her on my tongue and the scent of her release that still clung into the air that had me speaking to things that I shouldn’t have.

I was unsure of what it was I was telling Asha she was supposed to see but I felt like it was me.

There was no reason I should want that but the desire was there.

The desire to be chosen despite all of this.

I shook my head to clear my brain because I would have to abstain from drinking from her if it would cloud my brain like this.

“Back to warning me about Margo are you?”

No.

“Yes.”

I wouldn’t give her the satisfaction of having my intrusive thought slip out at an inopportune time. But there was a part of me that wanted her to see me as something more than she currently did. I had an idea she did but there was some part of me that needed her confirmation.

But to what end?

I was thankful that she assumed I was speaking about her so-called friend even though the way she was looking at me had me feeling that there was something more there.

Was I the type of fiancé who would listen to her when she was having trouble with her homegirls?

I did it for my friends so I couldn’t imagine not doing it for her.

But the idea of being relied on in that way had my emotional issues rushing to the front.

“I’m being more careful and since I’m going to be spending more time with you and Alec and the rest of the motley crew I don’t have to worry about her so much.”

“Is she pressing you for case information?”

The flash was brief but it was all the confirmation that I needed. “How did you—”

“Because she took the time to find our information out so that she could again offer her services to the team. In fact, she didn’t go to us directly; she went over our heads to our superior.”

I provided that information to her and I could see the wheels in her head turning. As she thought, I studied her seeing how she was absorbing the information and attempting to organize her thoughts.

“Agent Cochran?” It was her way of confirming but this time she was wrong.

“No, her boss. And she didn’t enjoy having to use part of her morning to explain her reasoning for bringing you on yet again.

” My hands slipped into my pockets and I could see the anger flash across her face.

Something that hadn’t been there the last time we talked about Margo.

She’d immediately been defensive, protective of her friend.

Today all of that was absent and she looked suspicious.

Is that why she’s out here?

“What the hell is Margo doing?” The question wasn’t directed toward me but I felt the need to answer her anyway.

It was my desire to keep her away from her so-called friend because I wasn’t sure if she would talk herself out of her suspicions and keep the woman around.

That wasn’t something I could allow to happen.

Despite how unassuming Margo appeared the fixation she had on Asha was unsettling.

I wasn’t sure if she wanted to eat her pussy the way I just had or if she wanted to be her but she wasn’t stable enough for Asha to keep around.

Which was saying a lot, since I wasn’t sure how sane Asha was.

“Trying to make a name for herself but is instead making a line of very dangerous enemies. Cochran isn’t one to play with.

” I didn’t have an issue telling her the truth of the situation.

Cochran was pissed because having some random woman hint that she didn’t understand how to do her job was one of the greatest insults.

It was hard enough for her as it was to be in her position and to have it questioned was potentially detrimental to her career.

“Back to this wedding. Why do I need to be in attendance?” She was redirecting the conversation and I let her since she’d given me almost all the information I needed.

“To show your face and make a good impression.”

She looked away from me and began to fiddle with the horse’s reins. “Am I on trial here or something?”

“No.” My answer was so swift that she turned to look at me to see if I was lying.

“Then why—”

“It’s non-negotiable, Asha. I don’t want the rest of our lives together to be argumentative but I mean it when I say I won’t try to change what you have going on.”

“But you’re lying.”

“What?”

Her arms went across her chest as she rubbed her fingers together anxiously.

“You’re lying. You have already changed so much of what I have going on.

You said this was going to be something that we would do together but you don’t even ask, you dictate.

Again. I’m not interested in having an overseer. ”

I bristled at the way she described my behavior and she knew exactly what to say to stoke my anger.

“Asha, would you accompany me to one of my oldest friend’s weddings? It will be a good opportunity for you to meet my extended family and see the type of environment you will be a part of for years to come. Since Nevaeh will be in attendance because Midas is the best man, you won’t be alone.”

“Where will you be?”

“I didn’t think you’d view me as an ally in this situation.”

She pressed her lips together fighting her smile and I appreciated the way her face relaxed at my teasing.

It was meant to be taken lightheartedly but I for damn sure meant every word.

Half the time I was waiting for her to bite my head off and the other I wanted to beg her to soak the rungs of my ladder.

“Well, you promised I’d always be safe with you. I guess this is one of your first tests.”

I nodded thoughtfully keeping the truth of how her life had changed off my face.

She’d had someone on her since the paperwork was signed and I knew I had plenty of people lurking who wanted to get at her.

They wouldn’t strike at Xerxes’ wedding unless they had a death wish but I was sure they’d come.

Hell, I’d sent Vega to Charlotte as a favor to me to test Vanya.

We’d made up some bullshit about needing information about Xerxes to see if Vanya would fold.

She’d done exactly what she needed to: keep her mouth closed and protect the family.

I knew the time would come for Asha to do the same.

I helped her mount up on her horse but she had her eyes trained on me, wanting some type of reassurance. The intense trepidation made me want to give it to her.

“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. I wouldn’t be marrying you if I didn’t think you could handle this.”

“Thanks for the vote of confidence.” She’d rolled her eyes but the smile on her face told me I’d calmed her down. The tree branches swayed over her head the blossoms and the look on her face creating a beautiful picture.

I patted her leg before swinging up onto the back of the horse I’d been riding. It was uncomfortable as hell since my dick was still hard but I had to make it work.

“Come on, I know I just ate but you came out here to ride so let’s finish what you started.”
