Chapter 14

Chapter Fourteen

I wake up in the early morning. I’m surrounded by Daddy’s arms and legs. I’m hot, but that’s okay. I’m cocooned. I’m loved. I’m so happy.

We never got dressed yesterday. After Daddy claimed me, he kept me naked for the rest of the day. He brought us a spread of finger foods for dinner in bed. We laughed, we watched some television, we talked, and we fucked three more times.

I’m sore, but it’s the good kind of sore. Yesterday was the best day ever. All the rest of my days will be amazing, but I’ll never forget yesterday. The first day of our forever.

Daddy kisses my neck. His voice is sleepy as he speaks, “You’re grinning, Little one.”

It’s too dark for him to see my face, but he’s got a sixth sense when it comes to me. I’ll never understand it. “I am,” I admit.

His hands cinch me in tighter, and he growls against my neck. “You’re never leaving our bed.”

I giggle. “I need to pee, though.”

He chuckles, causing us both to shake. “Okay, but I’m going with you. You’re never leaving my sight.”

“Don’t you have to work today?” I tease.

He groans. “Oh, right. Work. Don’t they know I can’t work anymore because I’m in love and I don’t want to leave my girl?”

I giggle as I turn my body so I can face him. It’s not easy. It seems like he has twenty limbs wrapped around me like vines, and he’s reluctant to give me an inch.

“Also I’m hungry.”

He smiles. I can just make out the corners of his mouth lifting in the dim light. “How about if I diaper you and make you a bottle? That way you don’t have to get out of bed.”

I nod. That sounds like a great idea. The suggestion also drags my Little to the surface. Apparently he feels the need to Daddy me this morning.

He kisses all over my face before he slides off the edge of the bed. I giggle when he drags me closer, turning me sideways. He turns on the lamp, lifts my hips, and slides a diaper under me.

I watch him through squinted eyes as he meticulously examines my folds and puts diaper cream on me. He’s concerned I’ll be sore. He said so last night. I shouldn’t be surprised he’s Daddying so hard this morning.

After he secures the diaper around me, he kisses my tummy and scoots me back to the middle of the bed. “Stay in the center while I’m gone so you don’t fall, Baby girl.”

Yeah, he’s in full Daddy mode. I love it when he gets all bossy, especially when it’s irrational like worrying about me falling off the bed. I can’t stop grinning while he’s gone, and I stare at the doorway the entire time, counting the seconds until he returns.

I breathe better as soon as he’s back in the room.

He climbs up and settles against the headboard, drawing me into his lap so he can feed me. He loves to feed me. Most of the food that enters my mouth comes from his hand offering it, but bottle feeding me is his favorite.

While I suckle, he strokes my hair and lets his gaze roam all over me as if he hasn’t seen me for a long time. He never stops smiling. He’s as happy as I am. When I’m finished, I sigh contentedly and let him tug me into his arms under the covers.

He turns the light back off, but the faint morning sunlight is peeking in between the blinds. My eyes are heavy, but I’m not tired. I’m just happy.

“Will you marry me, Layla?”

The question startles me. I twist to look at him. “Yes.” I don’t hesitate.

He lifts my hand in his and strokes my ring finger. “I’ll get you a ring this morning. We’ll go to the courthouse this week.”

My heart is racing. He’s serious.

“If you want a big wedding or something or a giant reception, we’ll do that later. I want you to be legally mine now.”

Tears run out of my eyes. I’m choked up. I can’t respond. I already said the important word. Yes .

“I’m going to take next week off,” he continues, “I’m taking you to Littleworld.”

I gasp and bolt up to sitting, twisting around to look down at him. My mouth drops open, but I’m too stunned to speak.

He chuckles. “My girl barely moves as I tell her we’re getting married, but I mention Littleworld and she bounces through the roof.”

I shove him onto his back and climb over him, straddling him so I can bend over and kiss all over his face. He was kidding. He’s not upset by my reactions because I could have easily expected him to suddenly declare we were getting married. What I did not see coming was the trip to Littleworld.

“Are we really, Daddy?”

He runs his hands up and down my back. “Of course. I wouldn’t lie about something as important as Littleworld. That would be cruel.” He starts tickling me as he drags me off his chest and flips me onto my back. He leans over me, pinning me down. “I love you, Baby girl.”

“I love you, too, Daddy.”
