{Third person's pov}
Kiara woke up just to witness Ekansh sitting next to her on the bed, his hand clutching hers, "Ekansh, there- there was - man he-."
"Calm down Kiara," she patted her back as she hugged him, tears filling her eyes
"I am sorry bhabhi, I didn't know this will effect you so hard." Kiara broke the hug and looked at the source of voice.
It was the same guy, She clutched Ekansh's arms, "Don't worry Kiara, He is my best friend, Dhruv. I forgot to tell you he was coming, and this bastard has a habit of teasing everyone, so he teased you too."
Kiara glared at Dhruv, "That was creepy." Dhruv chuckled, "I am sorry bhabhi."
Ekansh ran his hand over Kiara's back in a soothing gesture, his eyes narrowing at Dhruv. "You need to watch what you do, Dhruv," he said, his tone firm but calm.
He turned his attention back to Kiara, gently tilting her chin up to look at him. "Don't let him bother you, love," he murmured, his gaze filled with concern.
"Stop being lovey dovey, I just had a breakup, it hurts." Dhruv held his heart dramatically making Kiara laugh.
Ekansh chuckled at Dhruv's dramatics, shaking his head slightly. "You're such a drama queen, Dhruv," he said fondly.
"But why did you faint Kiara? Is everything fine?" Ekansh asked and Kiara nodded, "maybe I panicked."
Ekansh nodded in understanding, "Kiara Dhruv will be here for a few days, he had some meetings." Ekansh informed as dhruv walked out of their room.
"That's fine." She smiled and hugged him. He held her tightly, his arms encircling her in a reassuring embrace. "If he makes you uncomfortable, just let me know," he murmured into her ear.
He leaned back slightly, his gaze searching hers. "I won't let anyone mess with you, love," he promised, his voice firm.
She nodded, "Can you get a pregnancy test?" She asked, He raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "A pregnancy test?" he repeated, a hint of surprise in his voice.
"Are you... expecting?" he asked, his tone cautious but curious.
"I don't know, I missed my periods. It's been many days." She whispered, His expression softened, concern filling his features. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" he asked, his hand gently cupping her face.
"We can get the test tomorrow," he assured her, gently caressing her cheek with his thumb.
"I was waiting for it to come." She took a deep breath, remembering her miscarriage.
He noticed the flicker of worry in her eyes and tightened his grip on her hand reassuringly. "Don't worry, love," he whispered. "We'll go get the test tomorrow, and then we'll know for sure."
He gently cupped her face, his eyes filled with tenderness. "No matter what the result is, we'll face it together, okay?"
She nodded and closed her eyes, Falling asleep. He held her close against him, a mix of anticipation and anxiety coursing through him. He stayed awake, his mind racing with thoughts of the possible outcomes.
He couldn't help but wonder if they would receive good news, or if their hopes would be dashed once again. But regardless of the outcome, he knew he would always be by her side.
..........
Kiara came back with doctor after her checkup and sat next to Ekansh in the doctor's cabin.
"Mr. Shekhawat, There's something you guys need to know," the doctor said sitting in front of them.
Ekansh held Kiara's hand tightly, his grip firm and steady. His gaze flicked between Kiara and the doctor, his heart pounding in anticipation.
"She is pregnant but this pregnancy can risk her life, because of her miscarriage she is very weak, and there's fifty fifty chances that she may survive this or she won't make it." The doctor explained.
His heart skipped a beat, his breath catching in his throat. Fifty-fifty chances...the words echoed in his mind, filling him with a mix of hope and dread.
He glanced at Kiara, noticing her trembling hands and the fear in her eyes. Despite his own internal turmoil, he managed to keep his composure, his grip on her hand tightening.
"Keeping this baby can be risky, I will recommend you guys to not try for a baby." The doctor said and Kiara shook her head, "I want to keep this baby,"
His heart dropped at Kiara's words. No, he couldn't lose her. Not again.
He shook his head, his voice firm but shaky. "No, we can't risk her life," he said, his gaze locked on the doctor. "There must be another way."
"I am not saying that she will not make it, there are chances but it's risky." The doctor explained, "we are not having this baby, love. Let's adopt one."
"No I want this baby," tears fell from her eyes, "I want my baby." He held her shoulders. "Kiara, we are not having this baby." He said sternly.
"This is my body, I am having this baby." She yanked his hands, "You are not having it Kiara, That is your body, but I am your husband and father of that baby."
He looked at the doctor, "You should abort the baby," the doctor took a deep breath, "We can't abort the baby until the mother agrees to it."
He clenched his jaw, his mind racing as he wrestled with the conflicting desires within him. He knew that her life mattered more than anything, but he also knew her stubbornness.
He looked at the doctor, desperation creeping into his voice. "Can't you do something, anything to minimise the risks?" he pleaded, his tone edged with an edge of desperation.
"You have to be extra careful, don't let her do anything. Complete bed rest. And no stress," the doctor said, he looked at Kiara. "Kiara I am ready to do everything, but I can't risk your life, love."
Kiara looked at him and shook her head, "I won't abort it no matter what."
He closed his eyes briefly, taking a deep breath to compose himself. He knew the stubbornness in her eyes. "You're so stubborn, love," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
He turned to the doctor once more, the desperation in his eyes. "How about constant monitoring? Regular check-ups, ultrasound, everything...?"
"We can do that, but still we can't guarantee anything." The doctor said and once again Ekansh looked at kiara, "baby, please abort this child."
Kiara stood up, "No means no Mr. Shekhawat, if you tell me to abort this child I will take my own life too."
"Don't do like this to me." He said, his voice hoarse. He couldn't lose her. "This is a risky pregnancy, you are already very weak, if you have the child you'll risk your life."
"You will loose me either way Ekansh, so let this be a smooth pregnancy and let me carry my child. We will see what future holds." She replied, her eyes held tears hut a sense of determination.
His heart ached at her words. He knew she was being reckless, but the thought of losing her for good was unbearable.
"Fine," he whispered, his voice defeated. "We'll keep the baby. But I won't take any chances. I won't let anything harm you."
