11. Noel
Everything is ready. Our Teddy Bear is here and so is the other part of my heart. Thankfully, Bear’s mom had to move onto a job and couldn’t join us, because I had enough bonding with her as I could take. She’s going to be a unique addition to our life. I foresee holidays being…interesting. Worth it for our Bear, though, who seems more comfortable now in life. I’d like to think we’ve helped with that. Now I just need Cameron and his whore, Terry, to get off the damn cruise ship.
Ah, there’s the happy couple. All over themselves. I’d say gag me, but I plan on gagging them. I tap my earpiece and whisper to Eddie, “They’re off the ship. Should be heading to the parking lot now.”
“Thank fuck they were too cheap to park with the others. It should be easy to take them.”
“They were only cheap because it’s the one thing I hadn’t paid for yet.” My Bear’s voice grumbles, and I shake my head. It’s not like it’s untrue, but damn. At least we’ll be working out his bitterness tonight.
Step one is complete, and after watching them disappear down the street, I hustle to the building we picked out to reunite Robbie with his ex and the whore. Although, really they’re both fucking whores in my opinion and lower than any damn snake could be.
Cutting across the alleyway, I nip inside the building and wait for others. Right on time, Cameron’s car pulls up. Once it’s in park, Eddie is pulling Cameron out of the front seat with the gun still on him. He pushes Cameron toward me, and I drag him inside, letting him deal with Terry. By the time they’re both inside, I have Cameron tied down in a chair.
“And look, there’s an open chair for you!” Eddie says jovially as he pushes Terry into it. I quickly tie him up, too. Both of them are trying to make noises but Eddie already gagged them. I’m somewhat sad he had that joy, but I suppose when you’re dealing with cowards, there’s no way he would have been able to get them here without it. Of course, if he had the joy of putting the gags in, that means I get to take them out…
I laugh as they scream and beg. Their babbling is so overwhelming that I can’t even make out anything specific. I’m about to cut them off when our Teddy Bear steps out from the dark corner. I love watching Cameron’s eyes go wide at his appearance. Yeah, he should worry about how fucked he is now.
“R-r-r-obbie?” Cameron’s voice is so high it may as well be nails on a chalkboard. “What are you doing here? Get help!”
Bear rolls his eyes. “Yeah, sure. I’ll get help. Help paying you back. You really cheated on me for two years? And had me pay for your wedding and honeymoon? What kind of fucked up person does that?”
Cameron’s face flushes, but I’m not convinced it’s from embarrassment. I cock my head, staring at him. “You don’t feel bad about it, do you?”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. I had to pretend to be in love with him the entire time! Do you know how hard that was? He’s whiny. And high maintenance. And always fucking working. I had needs. Terry met them. It’s not my fault I fell in actual love with him. Our souls collided.” Cameron sneers at me. I shake my head, the fucking audacity—especially considering his tenuous position.
“You pretended! And of course I was working all the time! You didn’t! I paid for everything. Including a fancy wedding and honeymoon. Why not just break up with me?” Robbie’s face crumples, and Eddie hurries over and embraces our Teddy Bear.
I grab the knife from my belt and move forward until I’m towering over the bitch. “You’re going to want to answer that question, Cameron. Because I’ll happily use this knife to carve pieces off you.”
His side piece gasps and pulls against the bindings, but I don’t bother dealing with him yet. No, I stay focused on the piece of trash in front of me. Cameron must have no survival instincts as he thrusts his chin out and glares at me.
“You won’t do anything. I can’t believe Robbie was so pathetic he had to pay two guys to come and threaten us. He must have forgotten my uncle is a cop. I’d make sure you leave soon so you’re not facing the same charges as Robbie.”
I bark out a laugh. “Our Bear belongs to us. He’s everything we want and need. We aren’t stupid like you are. We won’t ever make him doubt our love. But since you seem to think you’re in charge, let me give you a demonstration of how you’re not.” I plunge the knife into Cameron’s thigh and beam at his high pitch squeal. He finally stops with the screaming, instead huffing his breath, and it’s almost unbelievable that Bear chose this asshole. “Now, I believe Robbie asked you a question. Why didn’t you just break up with him? And, in fact, I want details of everything you planned out.”
“Then you’ll let us go?” Cameron spits out bile, hunched over. Terry whimpers, the smell of pee emanating from him, but Cameron doesn’t spare his whore even a glance.
“I’ll let you go if you tell me everything,” I promise.
“Fine. I met Robbie years back. Things were fine, but he got boring. All he wanted to do was work, and I wanted to have fun. I met Terry at the club and that was it. So we kept meeting up whenever Robbie was working. He was making enough money that I didn”t need to work, so things went well. I proposed to Robbie because it was easy, and he expected it. But then Terry got upset because he didn’t want to hide our relationship anymore, and he said he wouldn’t fuck me if I went and got married to someone else. I fixed it. At least I didn’t break up with Robbie and make it his fault. I was kind and set up a position where I’d be the bad guy. Even though he’s the one who slacked off on our relationship.”
Our Bear’s growl is like nothing I’ve heard, and when I twist to look at him, I’m shocked to see Eddie struggling to hold him back. Eddie isn’t a lightweight, but Bear must have the strength of fury behind him, because he’s making progress. I point at him, and he calms down enough that Eddie lets him go, but only takes a half step away. From the way our Bear crosses his arms, it’s probably a good idea that Eddie is close.
“You’re a fucking idiot. You stole his money to fund your wedding. Did you send out invitations of your own?”
“Only to Terry’s side. And I didn’t steal his money. I deserved recompense for dealing with him.”
“What the hell did your family think?” Robbie snarls from the sidelines. “When they got there, it was a completely different groom.”
“Ah, well. See, Mom never really liked you anyway, so it was pretty easy. And you know my uncle hated you. They had already met Terry. And you didn’t have any family. The others were a little confused, but I wasn’t paying much attention. After all, it was Terry’s and my big day.” Despite the knife sticking out of his thigh, he still manages to send a smile—although more like a grimace—toward his lover’s way.
“And you, Terry? You were happy being a whore on the side?” I switch my attention because I’m already done listening to Cameron. Not that he has anything left to tell me at this point. The fucking whining is unbearable. It’s like he’s proud of that bullshit
“I-I-I j-j-just wanted to be with Cameron. He didn’t even tell me about Robbie for over a year. Once he did, I tried to leave, but I already loved Cameron so much. When I found out Cameron proposed, though…I told him it was enough. I wasn’t going to be his whore forever. He either broke it off with Robbie or with me.” Tears slide down Terry’s cheeks, but if he thinks that will sway me, he’s crazy. He willingly engaged in an affair. I don’t care that they weren’t married at the time, once you find out your man is seeing someone else, you don’t fucking continue on. And, even more, you let the other person know. What the fuck is wrong with people’s ethics these days? “He said he’d take care of it. That we’d be fine. I didn’t know that he was still seeing Robbie until he walked in on us. Please don’t kill me. I really didn’t know.”
“Cheaters don’t get a pass. When you found out what he did, you should have run. Not married the asshole. You realize he would have cheated on you, too? In fact, I’m fairly certain he already has.”
“No, he wouldn’t do that to me!” Terry denies, shaking his head rapidly. I’d feel bad for what I’m about to do but…nope. Actually, I don’t give a shit.
“You want to tell him, Cameron?” I slide my gaze over, but Cameron keeps his mouth shut. “Are we going to play this game?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about. I would never cheat on Terry. I love him.” Cameron’s eyes shift to the left, refusing to look at me or his supposed love.
“Uh huh. That’s your final answer?” When Cameron pulls his attention back to me, he gives a stiff nod. “I’m so glad to hear that. I thought this was going to get boring!”
I rip out the knife in his thigh and put pressure on his hand so he doesn’t move. With a quick downwards slash, I separate his ring finger from his left hand, watching as the wedding ring drops to the ground with the finger. I backhand him when he won’t shut up. I can only find screaming amusing for so long.
“Why? What the fuck?!” Sweat beads pour off Cameron, and I tsk. I gesture to Eddie, but I’m surprised that it’s Robbie who comes forward with the pictures. I don’t bother saying anything, just show him and then turn them toward Terry. “I-I-I those…they’re doctored!”
“Cam?” Terry stares at the pictures of his husband’s dalliance on the cruise ship. Dustin had fun getting into the camera system, but he came out with some great shots. Including Cameron fucking some twink in the gym when nobody was there. Talk about taking a risk, especially on his honeymoon.
I had hoped Cameron would say something, defend himself in some way. Sadly, it looks like a simple knife wound and losing a finger is too much for him. He sits there trembling, not saying a word. Fucking spineless. He’s taking all the fun away from me. Sighing, I focus back on Terry.
“So, you married a cheater and got cheated on. Sounds like fun, right?” I twirl my knife around and fake a slash on his leg, loving how he jumps and cries.
“Please! I made a mistake! I’m sorry!” The tears run even faster now, sobs making it almost impossible to hear what he’s saying. I lift my head toward the ceiling, practically praying for patience, because damn these two have been so unsatisfactory. I much prefer our usual targets who give us something to work with.
“You’re sorry,” Robbie spits out, standing next to me. “You’re fucking sorry that you got involved with someone else’s man or that you got caught? Or maybe it’s because you then got cheated on yourself. What are you sorry for?”
“I never should have trusted him. I’m sorry I hurt you. Please don’t let them kill me. Please, I want to go home. I promise I won’t say a word.”
“Except your home is the one I paid for. That’s right. I looked it up. You moved right into my life. Well, except for the job. I wonder who you guys expected to support you once I was gone. You know what, though? I don’t give a shit. You both are disgusting. I can’t believe I ever saw anything in Cameron and I sure the hell don’t know why I was so jealous of you when I came home to find him fucking you. And sure, you can go. You can go to hell.”
Robbie rips the knife out of my hand, yanks Terry’s head back and slices his throat, before doing the same to Cameron. I rock back on my heels. That wasn’t exactly in the plan. If my Bear wanted to get his aggression out, I guess I can’t blame him. Except for one thing.
“Now we need to get you into a shower. I need to find some stuff, because we don’t want to leave any DNA here. You don’t cut from the front, it’s always the back.” I chastise him as I look around at our options.
“Don’t worry, I have our bags.” Eddie’s gravely voice reassures me that he’s got everything covered. He’s far more prepared than I am. Then again, that’s usually the case. It’s why we work so well together.
“Good, now don’t think we won’t be talking about this, Teddy Bear. For now, let’s get cleaned up and out of here.”
“Mmm. And then we can celebrate, Daddy?” I laugh at his innocent question and ruffle his hair.
“Yeah, Bear. Then we can celebrate.”
