There was once a time when dinner rolls had to actually be outlawed, but that’s a different story.

Point is, we’re all family here and have been since 2012.

Don’t get scared yet, though.

It’s kind of like jumping right into a really chaotic TV series where every episode is about a different couple/character.

Some people are mentioned, some aren’t, and the goal is to make you laugh until you cry, then throw the book or reading device, sob for the injustice of it all, gasp a bit, fan yourself, then enter into the torture with the rest of us.

What you need to know: The Eagle Elite series consists of the five families, and in a bout of genius, the Bratva was added in (I know, gasp, we have some Russian blood with the Italian blood up in here by way of the Petrovs).

This particular book is the second in the Rise of the De Langes.

These books zero in on the De Lange family and its quest to rebuild itself after they basically got annihilated by the five families for their disloyalty.

They’ve been given a second chance to restore their reputation.

In Ciao Bella, Ivan became the first De Lange boss in years to step in and rebuild.

He’s young though, in his mid-twenties and was mostly raised by Phoenix De Lange, the Nicolasi boss and part of a tarnished bloodline along with his wife and their kids.

Phoenix is brutal, terrifying, and also extremely proud of Ivan for stepping up and into the fold.

This book follows the De Lange rise with the story of Raven, Dante Abandonato’s Daughter.

Dante is related to both the Abandonato family and the Alfero family and is currently the Alfero boss; he has twin girls Raven and Tempest and both of them are terrifyingly awesome and in college at Eagle Elite University.

That’s it, that’s all you really need to know.

This is Raven’s book.

And it starts off with a bang.

She’s an Alfero, adored by her dad.

and Ace is an orphan who was taken in by the Alfero family and became a bodyguard.

He used to guard Dante but now he has to guard Raven, and he’s not too pumped about it; plus, he’ll always think of his blood as being tainted.

He answers to all the bosses, but mainly Ivan, his boss, and Alfero, the one he’s taking orders from.

Also, you’ll notice my love for the show “Friends” in this one; I couldn’t help it.
