4. Lochlan
Lochlan
It took Ash a little while to warm up as though he didn’t quite believe me when I told him I enjoyed listening to him. But by the time we left the restaurant and ducked into the waiting Uber, he was fully relaxed and rattling through stories.
“And now Cassie won’t even get on a plane with me. Like it was my fault the cat escaped.”
My lips twitched at the way Ash punctuated his tales with dramatic gestures. I think I could listen to him for the rest of my life and never get bored.
“Do you live around here?”
I inclined my head. “Aye. Highfield Avenue. You?”
“Huh. I’m on Oakmount.”
Two streets away from me. “Curious how we’ve never met before.”
“I haven’t lived there long.” For the first time, Ash wasn’t looking at me as he spoke, his gaze on the streets whipping by. “Only a few months.”
“Where’d you live before?”
“Ocean Village.”
His clipped answer told me this was a sore subject for him. “Well, how convenient that ye live close now. I can walk home later.”
We pulled up alongside the curb and Ash shot me a wink. “That’s assuming I let you leave.”
The sight of his taut rear,as he got out of the car had me momentarily frozen as the nerves from earlier reappeared.
“You getting out, mate? I’ve got another fare waiting.”
I shook myself, throwing an apology to the driver before chasing Ash up the path. He was smiling, but the way he was fluttering his hands gave him away. “Sorry, that was too much, wasn’t it.”
Seeing his anxiety had my own nerves settling and my confidence returning. Ash was what was most important here. He’d clearly not been appreciated in the past.
I was sure as shit going to appreciate him now.
With a low growl, I crowded close until his back hit the door.
My arms boxed him in, my body towering over his.
“No, bràmair. Nothing ye can say to me will ever be too much. In fact, it’s probably best you lay down some boundaries now.
Because once I get you on the other side of this door, I’m not going to want to stop. ”
Ash stared up at me in disbelief. Then I felt a sharp pinch on my side.
“Ow,” I said with a jump. It hadn’t actually hurt, but it had startled me. “What was that for?”
“Sorry,” Ash squeaked. “Just checking you’re real and that this isn’t a dream.”
I leaned closer, letting my nose brush against his. “Shouldn’t you have been pinching yourself?”
“No, I know I’m real. You’re the one who’s appeared like you’ve been created from my fantasies. I call bullshit.”
I chuckled, our mouths tantalisingly close. “I’m taking that as a good sign. Maybe Cupid really does know what he’s doing.”
“Here’s hoping.”
Ash’s lips ghosted against mine and it took every ounce of my self-control not to claim them. I’d meant it though, we needed to establish things straight up.
Because somehow I knew that once I’d got a taste of Ash, I wasn’t going to want to stop.
“Boundaries?” I reminded him, keeping a centimetre between our lips.
“Don’t know her,” he said breathily, craning up to try and close the gap.
I smirked, pulling back slightly. “You must have some limits.”
Ash dropped flat on his feet with a huff. “Fine. No bodily fluids aside from cum and blood. If you’re into it.”
My cock throbbed in response. I had to swallow twice before I could get my voice out. “I think I’m into that.”
He smirked, flashing his fangs at me for a second. “No pressure if you realise you’re not. But those are my limits.”
That’s what he said, but the smirk faded away like something was occurring to him. His fidgeting started again, his mouth opening and closing as he struggled with himself.
I waited, giving Ash the time he needed to articulate himself.
“No degradation,” he whispered finally, a faint blush on his cheeks. “I don’t want that.”
My rarely stoked temper began to burn. Not at what he’d said, but the implication behind it. Clearly Ash had some history he wasn’t sharing with me.
Which was fine. The first date probably wasn’t the best time to air all our dirty laundry. We had plenty of time.
Right now I wanted to make sure Ash knew I wasn’t like the men he’d been with before.
“That all works for me,” I told him. “What about positions? I’m vers so good with whatever.”
My words had the last of the tension clearing from his face. “Wait, you’d let me top you?”
I frowned down at him. “If ye wanted to. Why is that a surprise?”
Ash’s blush deepened. “Well, I’m this size and you’re…”
His voice trailed off, making me raise an eyebrow at him. “Are ye saying that because of our size difference, I wouldn’t be into you doing the fucking?”
“None of my exes were.”
“Well, as previously established, your exes are twats. I’ve got no problem bending over for ye. Now or later.”
“Maybe later? I’m in the mood to have you inside me tonight.” He said, shyly. “If you want there to be a later?”
This man. If I wasn’t supernatural, his cuteness might just kill me. “Oh bràmair, I definitely want there to be a later.”
He tilted his head. “What does that mean? Bràmair?”
I forced myself not to smile at his butchered pronunciation. “I’ll tell you later…so long as ye want there to be one?”
He answered by grabbing my collar with both hands.
With one solid tug, our lips finally met.
And my whole world tilted on its axis.
Ash tasted like marshmallows and peppermint. My tongue swept through his mouth greedily, needing more. More.
I didn’t think I’d ever get enough.
Somehow Ash managed to get the door open and we went stumbling through. Our lips were locked together as we tore at each other’s clothes. Ripping sounds filled the air, both of us out of control as we bumped into various items of furniture.
“Ignore that,” Ash said after my elbow sent a lamp crashing to the floor. “I can buy more.”
“I’ll buy you another,” I said between kisses. “All the lamps.”
Ash broke away with a curse. “Stupid fucking socks.”
He was hopping on one foot, clearly having tried to pull it off while still kissing me and failing.
Biting back a laugh, I crouched down to help him. I eased off one after the other, tossing them aside.
Then I raised my head to realise I was eye level with Ash’s cock.
It bobbed in front of my face, hard and throbbing. About six inches long, it curved at the top slightly, jutting towards his stomach.
Fuck, I bet that would feel great against my prostate.
My power of speech had fucked off into the abyss once more.
Like before, Ash misinterpreted my silence.
“I know I’m not massive or anything. Well, I’m average sized, I suppose.
According to a recent study, most men have penises that range from five point one to five point five.
On that scale I guess maybe I’m underselling myself. ”
Once more, Ash’s nerves sent my own running. Grabbing his shaft, I stroked along him slowly. “I get the impression you undersell yourself a lot.”
Ash’s chest was rising and falling rapidly at my movements. “Force of habit.”
“Humph,” I reached up to cup his balls, already pulled tight to his body. “I reckon I’ll be breaking that habit.”
He groaned under my touch, his hands coming up to rest on my shoulders. “Lochlan…”
“Yeah, we definitely need to work on it,” I continued, keeping my voice even like I wasn’t kneeling at his feet and edging him towards release. “Because your view of yourself doesn’t match at all with mine.”
He was panting now, the sound loud in the small hallway.
“You’re sweet. Kind. Funny.” I punctuated each adjective with another stroke of his cock. “Interesting. Fascinating. Gorgeous.”
Ash’s eyes were fluttering, like he was trying and failing to keep them open.
“And this cock?” I thumbed the pre-cum surrounding the head. “This apparently average cock? I was actually picturing how it’d feel inside me. Maybe I’ll test it out right now.”
That was all the warning I gave him before enveloping him with my mouth.
